Shawn:
Sitting there, singing my song, was the girl with red hair. Ugh, until I find out her real name I'm gonna have to give her a nickname now... Later. I stood there in awe as her beautiful voice bounced off the walls.
"She sings wonderfully, doesn't she?" I heard a voice say.
I jumped and turned to see Georgia standing behind me, a smile on her face. She walked to my side and we both watched the girl on the stage sing my song.. I felt honored to have my crush sing my works.
"Her voice is pretty marvelous." I replied in a daze, my eyes not moving from the stage.
I felt slightly uncomfortable under Georgias intense stare. Sadly the song ended and the girl stopped. Before setting the guitar down she examined it carefully and brushed her finger on the strings. She put the it back, grabbed her bag, and shut the lights off as she exited. Georgia and I walked out into the hallway.
"Was she the girl Dante was talking about?" She asked curiously.
"Maybe.."
She chuckled lightly and looked down the end of the hallway. Her phone began to ring and she pulled it out. The caller I.D. read "Annabeth/Max".
"I got to get going, see you later Shawn!" She said with a grin.
I gave her a quick hug and she jogged down the hallway, answering the phone on the way. I made my way to the parking lot and got into my car. Hey, maybe I could get to know her by striking up a conversation on one of my songs! I mean I'm guessing she's a fan so you know, I'll just use my advantage as a celebrity to get to know her. But then again, she was shy. She didn't ask for an autograph or pay any attention to me anyways.
I had gotten so distracted in my thoughts, my car started to go off road. I jerked my car back into place and began to pay attention to my surroundings. I had missed my street and had to do a U-turn. This girl was already getting to my head on the first day! I came to a resolution as I pulled into my driveway. I HAD to talk to her, no matter what.

Annabeth:
"So, how was your first day of school?" Georgia asked as we pulled into a McDonalds drive thru.
"It was OK." I replied as I rubbed my Eczema cream on my arms.
She ordered the food and looked over at me and realized what I was doing.
"What is that?" she asked as we pulled forward a bit.
"Its cream for my Eczema" I replied, tossing the tube into my bag.
"You have Eczema?"
"Yep and more"
Okay so I was a sickly child growing up. Since I was a premature baby 16 years ago, to now. Georgia looked at me worriedly as we pulled up to the window. I immediately grabbed my food and dug in, starting with my Chicken nuggets.
"I saw Shawn at the school when I went to the deans office." She said looking over at me.
"Cool." I responded, not caring enough to give her my undivided attention.
"Didn't you see him?" She asked.
"Yeah I did, during lunch." I replied biting into my burger.
"Did you guys talk?" she questioned.
"No we did not, in matter of fact, I didn't talk to anyone at all." I said, aggravated.
I turned and looked out the window, making the rest of the ride silent. I felt bad for snapping at her but I guess my temper was as bad as my hair. We entered the house and I was immediately greeted by Muffins. I scooped her up and giggled as she licked my face.
"Alright girly, go get your homework done." Georgia said bopping my head.
"Alright, alright." I replied, putting Muffins down and going up the stairs to my room.
I slumped down on my bed and took out my homework and began to eat my fries that I hadn't ate in the car. I put on my headphones and began to listen to 'Stressed Out' by Twenty One Pilots. Everything was going well until 'Unsteady' by X Ambassadors came on. I listened closely to the lyrics and stabbed my pencil into the binder cover causing the end to break. I couldn't any more, I now HATED that song! I looked over at a picture on my desk and got off my bed. I picked up the frame and stared at the picture.
It was me, my Dad, Mum, and my sister Max. Why couldn't you just fight, Dad? Maybe I wouldn't be in the position I'm in if you had! Just because we were a little Unsteady didn't mean you had to give up!
I put the frame back down. The past is the past now. I cant change what happened.. No one can. I went back to my bed and sat down, I was not in the mood to do my homework now. 'Act Like You Love Me' By Shawn Mendes began to play and I looked up at my poster. There's a lot of people that I wish could act like they loved me. My eyes scanned my room and settled on my easel. The one Max bought me for my birthday. I felt in the mood to paint. I looked down beside it to see the guitar Mum bought me one year for Christmas. I could also play the guitar... I looked back up to the easel and made my discussion. Paint brushes here I come.

A couple weeks later:
Shawn:
"Come on, dude! You've been putting it off for two weeks now!" Dante said pushing me forward slightly.
I took in a deep breath and tried putting myself together. Dante was right, I HAD been putting it off. I told myself I was going to talk to the new girl but I couldn't bring myself to it, and for the last two weeks I haven't been able to man up. It was lunch time and New Girl was sitting under what I now call "Her tree". She was rubbing some cream on her arms and had just pulled her sleeves down.
"I don't know man." I said turning around to face Dante.
"Come on, stop being a whimp!" He said crossing his arms.
I turned around and looked at New Girl. For the past two weeks she has been doing he same thing over and over; not talking to anyone, going under the tree during lunch to draw, and at the end of the school day going to examine and some times play instruments in the music room. Okay now I sound like a stalker. I stepped forward and the school bell rang.
"Okay, I'll do it tomorrow." I said turning on my heels as New girl stood up to collect her things.
"Dude, tomorrows Saturday."
"Shoot." I mumbled.
It was about to be three weeks and I still haven't talked to her.
"See you later at Georgia's!" Dante called out as he ran to his next class
I nodded, and walked to mine. Georgia had invited us over for dinner today, and I can tell you this from experience, Georgia cooks good! The hours until the end of the school day went by like years. I was the first one to exit the classroom when the last bell rung. I ran to my car and just as I was about to start it up, the passenger side door swung open. I looked to the side as Dante jumped in and looked at me with a smile.
"We're both going to the same place, right?"
"Uh, yeah."
"Well then, I don't have to take the bus then" he said, putting his seat belt on.
I shook my head and started up the engine. We pulled out and drove to Georgia's neighborhood. The houses were huge, almost mansion size! We finally pulled up to Georgia's address and our jaws dropped. Her house was the prettiest one on the block! We jumped out of my car and I rung the door bell. There was a sound of a small dog barking at the door.
"The doors open!" We heard Georgia yell out.
We opened it and Dante immediately grabbed the small poodle puppy and began to cuddle it.
"Oh my god Dante, seriously?" I asked as we walked deeper into the house.
"Georgia, help me out here!" We heard a girl with a British accent say.
Dante and I looked at each other confused. Who else was here?
"Well I am! I'm doing all the work!" We heard Georgia say.
"Its just a canvas G, you must have to pick up heavier things at your work." we heard the girl say.
We walked closer to where the voices were coming from.
"There, done! Now I have visitors to attend to." Georgia said.
"Oh jeez." We heard the girl say with discomfort.
"Chill child, they are just fellow humans."
The girl laughed just as we entered the room. I froze when I saw who the girl was. New Girl had a huge smile that I had never seen before, plastered on her face which exposed her shiny white teeth and braces. She suddenly stopped smiling when she saw Dante and I at the door.
"Georgia, you have friends here." she said as she pointed at us.
Georgia turned around and smiled.
"Shawn, I would like you to meet my cousin Annabeth. Annabeth, meet Shawn and Dante."
"Well I already know one." She said as she crossed her arms.
My heart beat accelerated at the thought she knew me!
"Oh really?" Georgia said giving Annabeth a stomp on her foot.
"Yeah, isn't Dante the one you said was cute and adorable, funny, and had a great personality?" She said which made Georgia's face grow red.
My heart drooped a little because it she wasn't talking about me. She hadn't even said my name and looked awkward to see new people.
"Well damn, Georgia" Dante smirked.
"Uh-well... Come on everybody lets get to dinner."
"Uh, nope" Annabeth said turning around.
"Where are you going?" Georgia questioned
"To my room.." Annabeth answered quietly.
"No, come on, we're about to have dinner." Georgia replied.
Annabeth looked at me, and our eyes locked for a minute which made her nervous. Was she just scared to be around me? Wait, if Georgia was her cousin and they lived together, she could've told her all about my crush! She then glanced at Dante and looked even more nervous.
"G, I don't think so" she replied stepping back.
"Anna, you can't be socially impaired forever you know." Her cousin said, crossing her arms.
Annabeth didn't reply, she just turned around and walked out of the room and we could all hear her storm up the stairs. She was perfectly fine several seconds ago, what happened now?
"Sorry guys for that. She was bullied before at her old school and I don't know if she's ready to come out of her shell." Georgia explained.
I nodded and looked over at Dante who was now playing with the dog.
"Well, lets go to dinner." She said leading Dante out of the room.
I was about to follow, when I stopped and turned around to look at the way Annabeth had left through. Maybe I could convince her to come down? I looked back at the way Georgia and Dante had walked off to then back at the other way. Maybe?
