Chocolates?

After a few hours of cold compressions, Drishti checked Divya temperature and was happy to see it went down.

Deciding that it was fine to leave her for a while, She walked to the kitchen while thinking about what to feed her sick patient.

She wanted to make 'khichdi' but she also knew that Divya was never going to eat it without a fuss. She called it 'bland' and 'tasteless'. Nonetheless, it was important for now so that's what she made. After eating some herself she was about to bring some to the room along with Divya's medication when her phone beeped.

It was a message from shikar. "Hey di, how is jangli billi? Is she okay?"

"Yes shikar. She is fine. Just a little bug."

"Oh okay. Call me if you guys need anything.".

"Will do. Thanks, shikar.".

"Anytime.".

Drishti kept her phone away and walked into the room and set the tray down on the nightstand.

Divya was happily sleeping with the blankets wrapped tightly around her. Drishti gently shook her but got no response.

"Divi! utth! Khanna leh.". She said shaking her a little more forcefully this time.

Divya wrapped the blankets even tighter around her. "Di zakhmi bache ki baat mante hain. Unhe zabardasti nahi utt hate. Bad manners hoti hai"

Drishti looked around confused. "Yaha pai bacha koun hai?"

"Mai aur koun. Mai hi toh hoon aapki bachi." replied Divya as if it was the most obvious thing.

Drishti rolled her eyes but smiled a little. "Toh phir meri baat maan. Utth aur khanna ka. Aur phir medicines bhi khani hai"

Divya sat up and stared at Drishti. Did she really think Divya Sharma was going to take medicines? Bitter ones especially? That's was also one of the reasons she hated doctors. They gave bitter medicines.

"What?".

"App ko kiya lagta hai ? main medicines chup chap ka longi ek toh app docotr ko lehkar aayi. Ab app mujhe yeh gandi dawai dena chati hain. Khabi nahi never."

"Tujhe kani paregi aur use pehla kichdi bhi khani paregi. Samji."

"Ji nahi." she said sticking out her tongue.

"Soch le." she took out some chocolate bars from her pockets. "Agar meri baat nahi manegi, toh chocolates nahi milengi." she smirked.

Divya eyed the chocolates as her mouth started watering. "Di this is not fair. You are blackmailing me yaar."

"Yes, i am. So will you listen to me?".

"Fine. but, i better get my chocolates after this.".

Drishti smiled saying, "good girl.".

"You are lucky to have such an obedient child. You should thank me."

"What?! You and obedient, those words don't go in the same sentence. You are a toofan mal. Kab a jaya pata nahi."

"at least appka entertainment to ho jaya hai.".

Drishti ignored her comment and started feeding her.

Divya just quietly ate her dinner but she was also very scared. After this she had to take her medicine. She absolutely despised those. But if she didn't take them, she wasn't going to get chocolates. So it was a sad tradeoff but she had to go though with it.

Once Drishti was done feeding her the khichdi, she kept the plate side and took the tablets in her hand. Divya gulped in fear. "Di, main kya Keh rahi thi. Medicines baad mein kahti hoon na. A hi kya zarrorat hai?". She tried to reason.

Drishti raised her eyebrow at her and handed her the medicines.

"Chal divi, chocolate ke liya." Divya thought to herself. Chocolates was her one weakness. She could do anything for them. Even if it meant eating bitter tablets. Or even sitting through long boring meetings without using her phone to Instagram. She threw the tablets in her mouth and drank water to stop herself from spitting them out. "Di kali. Ab chocolates do na!".

Drishti laughed and handed her the chocolates. She pulled her nose and smiled at the cuteness of her sister. She looked just like a kid happily eating her chocolates.
