Chapter 28
"You're high king Peter."
"I believe you called."
"Yes. But I thought you would be older."
"If you like, we could come back in a few years."
"No that's alright. You are just....not exactly what I expected."
I was watching The Chronicles Of Narnia with Seokjin. We were going through the long list of channels when we came across this. He hasn't seen this movie and I haven't seen this in a while either. So we thought we could give it go.
"He was my childhood crush, you know?" I pointed at prince Caspian on the screen.
"Childhood? So who is it now?" He chuckled.
"I don't know. He's still good looking than ever, so I guess he is still on the list."
I wrapped the blanket around me like a cocoon after moving from my chair to the couch Seokjin was in. The sole reason is the big bowl of cheese popcorn in his hands. I sneaked my hands into the bowl, earning a slap from him.
I pouted at him knowing he always cave in when I does that. Just like I thought he extended the bowl to me. I snatched a few making him chuckle.
My phone buzzed interrupting my snack time. The sender was totally not expected, Nate.
Nate
Hey, wassup?
Me
Just watching a movie.
Wbu?
Nate
Just scrolling through my phone, while dodging his licks.
Me
Awwwwww, he's so cute.
You are really making it impossible for me to not see him.
Nate
I was hoping we could meet up tomorrow.
Me
Oops I can't tomorrow.
Nate
It's okay I can wait.
Maybe next time?
I was cooing over Ash's photo so much that I didn't realise someone's presence near me until his breath hit my cheek.
"Hey, no peeking." I moved away from Seokjin who's neck was leaning over my shoulder.
"I wasn't peeking, I was just trying to take popcorn from you." He defended.
"Says the one who has the whole bowl to himself." I scowled.
"The satisfaction of taking from yours is too good to ignore." He looked at me with his puppy doe eyes. This guy is even cuter than Ash. "And who were you chatting with?" He added.
"Nate."
"Nate?" He frowned.
"You might not know. He's from Mr. Keynes class."
"So you guys know each other."
"Yup, next year we both have the same classes too. Maybe next time I can introduce him to you. He seems like a nice guy."
"Uhm, no thanks." He seems too disinterested.
"Let's talk about something else. Tell me about your Prince Caspian. That was a better topic." He brushed past the topic too fast to my crush list.
We watched the movie, munching on our late night snacks. We always spend our night times like this. Both of us sprawled on the couch like corpses binging on series or movies.
I have a TV in my room which I got as a present from my brother. But I haven't even switched it on after the first day of getting it.
I like it better when we spend time watching it together. Evan thought it might be difficult to share it with my professor.
But he doesn't know that we both are all past that. Let's keep it that way then.
"Goodnight then, Mr. Kim." I saluted him as I opened the door to my room. It was already half past twelve.
"Goodnight Miss John." He winked before entering his room.
Blood rushed to my face at his sudden action. I am not familiar with this effect that someone has on me.
I am scared that this might end up hurting me. I don't want to grow close than necessary but each seconds passing by is making it all the more difficult. We are growing closer than ever as each day passes by.
Now it seems like I'm closer to him than I'm with Hannah. I never get close to someone this fast but he was an exception. I hope it won't turn out to be a mistake.

I woke up to the sound of knocking on my door. I was sleeping so peacefully, why did he have to wake me up this early.
"Liz, wake up, wake up, wake up." I could hear Seokjin from the other side still banging on the door.
"Can you please stop that?"
"Not until you open the door."
"Ugh, fine." I grumbled, swinging the blanket from my body to the bed. With heavy steps I reached the door. After opening I retreated back to my bed.
"Don't go back to sleep."
"Why, why? I was having a really good dream after days. Why must you disrupt that?" I asked resting my head on the headboard.
"Dream? I'm sure it's about me."
"Then I would've called it a nightmare."
"Ouch. Anyways let's go. If you want to learn to drive, morning is the best timing."
Ohh driving. I completely forgot about that. Seokjin offered to help me drive.
Back home my dad tried to teach me and it always ended with him getting angry and me crying. After that I completely erased my dreams of driving my own car.
But I can't depend on others for my whole life. Therefore I built up the courage to give it a try again. Hopefully, Seokjin ain't strict like my dad.
"Okay. Lemme go fresh up. I'll meet you in five."
With that I sprung from the bed and went to the washroom.
After all that and dressing up, I met him downstairs waiting for me at the couch.
"Let's go." I dragged him from the couch to the car. His car.
The car was already parked out on the street ready for me to take over. I sat on the driver's seat, him on the side seat.
"Do you know the basics?" He asked me.
"Yup, I know. It's just I'm bad at controlling the steering." I admitted.
"So let's get it then." He raised his hand in mid air in a fist signalling me to start.
Here we go. At the first try, the engine didn't start. Then in the next try it sprung to life, making me feel better.
"Okay take it slow. Don't rush. We have whole time in the world." He assured me.
I took off to the road. Steering was giving me trouble. Therefore, he held onto the wheels.
His presence actually gave me the confidence. He was calm throughout the ride. Never once he raised his voice. His single complement was enough to boost my confidence. And he did it more often.
We drove like that for about more than half an hour. Finally reaching a park, which was secluded because of the early timing.
"You are better than I thought." He said smiling.
"What did you think?"
"A few hits on the trash can." He chuckled.
"Yah I wasn't that bad to begin with. It's just my dad was too strict and you weren't."
"Now that I think of it, I have never really heard about your dad or your mom."
"It's better not hearing. He can be a little too strict and... controlling?" I ended the statement more of like a question.
"Is he?"
"He can be. That story is for another day." I smiled.
We both turned to look at the sky as it turned to a warm orange and yellow as the rays of sun began to spread across the once dark sky.
