Chapter 17

Leaning my head on the window pane of the car while watching the perfect scenery of orange and yellow leaves spread along the damp ground leaving the the trees bare creating its own beauty. I was on my way to meet my friends, with Emily. Last time when she came to meet me, she couldn't meet up with Hannah and our new friend Jimin.

Hannah, Emily and I have been known as the three musketeers for a long time now. We both met Hannah when we were in high school. From then on we have never been separated, well until few months back. Hannah and I chose to go for the same field of business and finance in the same University. Whereas Emily was passionate about entrepreneurship. She always dreamt of being an entrepreneur. She joined another University in Surrey and started her classes on summer. Our classes just began on the fall. In a way, this was the longest time we both were apart.

"Ella, did you tell them about Seokjin?" I was pulled from my train of thoughts by Emily who was driving.

"Nope. We thought we will wait till end of this semester." I looked at her whose eyes were fixed on the road ahead.

"Won't they ask about him?"

"They did for first few days but now they stopped asking. Maybe they understood they won't get a clear answer from me. I feel a little bad though."

"It's okay, they will understand. And why wait till December for telling them?" She took a quick glance at me before turning back to the road.

"He won't be my professor anymore technically. He's stuck in that role only for my first semester."

"Is it that important for you to him being your un-professor?" She spoke as a small smirk formed on her lips.

"What do you mean? It will be much better if he's my friend with no other tag along. You get what I mean?"

"I guess so?" Her statement sounded more of like a question.

"Anyways, how is this Jimin guy? Han's been killing my ears when I asked her about him." She chuckled.

"I know right. She's just too excited. Jimin is a really nice guy though." I told her.

"Is he hot? You guys didn't even send me a picture of his." She pouted.

"We can say that. But I think he's way too cute. You're gonna like him." I assured not that she needed, she's always better than me when it comes to meeting new people.

After another thirty minutes we all met up in Stanley park one of the top notch tourist destination. Jimin and Han were already there leaning on the car waiting for us.

We parked near their car and got off only to be greeted by an overexcited Hannah and a wide eyed Jimin.

"Woah, who is who? It's like my eye sight has completely betrayed me." He said rubbing his eyes again and again.

"Ohh Jimin come on. Don't you think you are over exaggerating a little?" I chuckled while I went up to give him a side hug while Emily's engulfed in a bear hug by Hannah.

"Hai, Jimin. Emily." She extended her hand towards him.

"Hello. Finally we meet." He shook her hands without wasting any second flashing his crescent eyed smile.

"I'm going to have a hard time telling you both apart. Luckily you didn't dress the same."

"We're not kids, Chim." I smacked his arms playfully.

This park was a mind blowing spot as we took in the millions of trees which transforms into the shades of orange, red and gold. We all walked along taking in all the view.

We rented four bicycles to ride along the long stretched path ahead between the long line of trees.

"She's so far ahead." Han pointed at Emily who was riding ahead us.

"Em." I called out to her so she could wait for us.

"Emma." Why can't this girl wait up and why can't she hear when I'm practically screaming.

"Emilyyy." I yelled at the top of my lungs, they were no one around to give us weird looks. I did hear Jimin whispering to Hannah 'Aren't they all the same person?', to which Hannah only giggled.

Finally she stopped turning her handle and riding back.

"Sorry I had my headsets on. Got a phone call." She breathed heavily.

"Hey Em, do you still dance?" Han started a new conversation.

"Not anymore. My dance companion is separated from me." She pouted glancing at my direction.

"It's not my fault we don't live at the same place anymore." I shot back.

"You guys dance?" It was Jimin.

"Yup they used to do it. They were like a package if there's any competition. For both singing and dancing."

"Daebak." Jimin exclaimed although I didn't understand what he meant.

"You used to dance right?" I asked him. I remember him telling me that.

"Yup me and my friend back in Busan we used to dance and sing together like you guys. But now I have lost touch with him though." It ended with a sad note. We nodded at him.

After that we continued our ride. We spent a lot of our time there enjoying the ocean breeze. It was a bit chilly we were clinging onto our jackets because it was already November and so damn cold.

We heard there was a restaurant called The Teahouse and was famous for its mouth watering foods. We had duck confit and waffle, salmon Benedict, and finally creme brulee for dessert.

I also bought some fish and chips, chief burger and a small portion of white chocolate cheesecake to take home. I am not denying the fact I got questioning looks from all three of them. I didn't mind though. I was sad I couldn't bring Seokjin along with us. In fact I couldn't go anywhere with him. I bought all these for him, the food here is so dang good and he's someone who likes food and savours it. I can't miss him a chance of this delicacy.
