Chapter 15

The morning felt so good. I'm beyond happy. Is it because of my renovated bedroom or is it because of my new friend? I don't know.

I hugged the blanket tightly, inhaling the addictive scent of cinnamon and vanilla. I looked around feeling pleased at how the room looked. Thanks to Seokjin. Who put up with most of the work. The headboard and the full-length mirror had fairy lights draped on it. It shines light blue at night giving a warm feeling. The pillows and the blanket were a combination of teal and ocean blue, complimenting the white walls, bedsheet and almost every furniture in the room.

Everything looks new, yet feels home-like. I freshened up leaving my morning drowsiness. I slid into blue jeans and white sweater paired with a black belt and boots.

It is getting colder as December is nearing. Tiny drizzles of snow visible most of the morning. I headed downstairs and found a small note stuck on the fridge. 'Had to run early to Uni.' And a sad emoji drawn on the corner of it. I remembered our conversation last day.

"It looks so good. Did you buy this for me?" He stared at the S sign I bought last night turning it over and over examining every single details in it.

"Yup. You are the only S lettered person I have." I chuckled seeing his amazed face.

"Thank you." He gleamed.

"So where do we put it? Somewhere both of us could see?" I suggested.

"How about our favourite place in this house?"

"Living room." I answered the obvious. It was our spot. Where we spent our time together. Where we talk, have food, watch TV, almost everything.

We found the perfect spot. There was a wooden frame that has magnets attached which my brother used to attach photos. Now filled with images of flowers, vineyard and cats. The frame itself was in the shape of a tree with wide branches. We took the two corner spots on either sides of it and pinned the letters E and S on it.

"Seokjin." I raised my hands for a high five, which he gladly returned.

"Maybe you should call me just Jin."

"Nah, Seokjin's fine with me." I shrugged plopping to the couch. Calling him Seokjin obviously reminds me of the boundary line I have with him. And makes it easier not to cross it.

Time's up. Gotta go to Uni. Since we can't be seen coming together, I usually take the bus while Seokjin goes in his car as usual. I feel a little lazy to go back after not being there for three days. The good thing is many things changed. Mr. Kim is now Seokjin. And the bad thing is my friends are under the shade. I sighed thinking of both the sides.

Seokjin's pov

I feel so lazy coming here after the comfort in home. I have no other way but to suck it up and deal with it. The first class I had was with MSc department, that means Eliza is going to be there.

I entered the class and the class went silent just like that. My gaze fell first on the girl who sat towards the middle of the row. She was busy talking to her friend Hannah, if I remember correctly. It took her a while to glance back at me. From her face I knew she was trying hard to smile subtly, her dimples peaking in and out of her cheeks.

I cleared my throat before continuing with the class. I completely ignored the seats near her. It felt weird and comfortable at the same time to have a friend in the same class, who also happens to be your student.

After that I had two more classes on continuous. I met up with Jace for lunch. We headed to the campus cafeteria. We bought a cold drink along with burger.

"How was the classes? I heard some girls gushing about one Mr. Kim along the hallway." He smirked briefly before taking a bite from the burger.

"I can't believe they drifted their eyes from Mr. Wesley for this perfect face." I chuckled.

"Damn the confidence." He laughed back at my remark. "That reminds me, did you get the mail from the office?"

"What mail? I don't know. Let me check right away." I pulled out my phone from the pocket.

"Dammit, my phone's dead." I forgot to switch on the plug last night.

"It's okay. It wasn't that important anyways." He chuckled seeing my frustrated look.

After lunch, I had one meeting. Luckily it got cancelled. I was so relieved now that I can hit the bed and take a nap. Eliza might be there already, all her classes were done before noon.

I stepped in the house, tired and impatient to hit the bed. Just like I thought, Eliza was there on the couch browsing through her phone.

"Hey. I'm early, the meeting has got cancelled." I called for her to catch her attention. She was startled when I spoke. She turned around to face me, her brows furrowed in confusion and shock.

"Did I scare you? I'm sorry, Eliza." I apologised seeing her shook face.

"I- I'm not Eliza. You must be Kim Seokjin." She replied.

What the hell.
