Edmund's arm had stopped stinging after about an hour or so. He felt his arm finally cease to hurt.
Mannix, their captor, had threatened to pour the whole bottle on Edmund. Edmund felt shaky just thinking about it.
"I wonder if they have realized we're gone." Peter muttered. Edmund squeezed his eyes shut tightly. Forcing away tears was more difficult than he thought.
"Edmund.... are you okay?" Peter asked. Edmund blinked away the tears, he knew Peter could only see his back for that he was glad.
"Yeah. I'm doing okay." He said. Peter was unsure but there was a strength in Edmund's voice so Peter shrugged it off.
Peter was quiet, so lost in thought he didn't realize Edmund shaking.
"P-Peter, do you think they'll find us?" Edmuns asked, voice just above a whisper.
Peter sighed.
"I hope so."

Edmund woke up, there was a lot of yelling outside the tent.
"What do you mean Illine ran away! Stupid guards!" It was Minnix, Edmund listened. The guard rambled off an answer.
"W-well, I didn't assume anything. Ya see he's a trustworthy-"
"No one is trustworthy! He is probably getting someone to save the Narnian barbarian kings, he's always been a soft hearted man." Minnix growled a string of curse words.
Edmund bit his lip and hoped Illine, whoever that was, would get someone to help them before it was too late.
Suddenly the tent door opened and closed as Minnix stepped in. This time his eyes landed on Edmund and he looked so angry that Edmund was slightly nervous.
"Argh!" With a low growl he whipped Edmund's neck and arms mercilessly, it wasn't hard enough to draw blood, but Edmund knew he wouldn't be able to move without pain for a while Edmund bit his lip and refused to cry. Finally Minnix stopped and reached his hand into his pocket. Drawing out the ignis liquid he put a few drops on Edmund's neck and back. Then did the same to Peter.
Edmund heard Peter's startled gasp. And he laid in agony. It felt like he was on fire.
Finally it was too much, Edmund broke and let a few tears silently stream down his face.
"Look. Poor King Edmund is crying." Minnix mocked, Edmund bit his lip sk hard he drew blood. Praying to Aslan that he would at least pass out. But not even that relief came.
