LOCATION: Bennington College, Bennington, VT

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Bennington College is lively—during the day and during the night. Unexplained events have been reported in various buildings on campus, including flickering lights, sudden temperature drops, disembodied voices in the auditoriums, and footsteps echoing inside locked classrooms. While some believe this to be the work of a group of professors who died in the eighties, others blame freak accidents throughout the decades. The Jennings Music Building remains the most popular location.

A PRIORI EVIDENCE: The most common occurrence is piano music playing after midnight in recital rooms, with no evidence of anyone having been there. Other incidents include reports of mysterious figures vanishing through doors, scattered sheet music pages in weird patterns, and the usual cold spots and electronic interference during investigations. Jennings commonly displays creaking floorboards, doors that close on their own, and locked windows flinging open.
