Olympus Holds a PTA Meeting
A/N First chapter! Leeeeeets go!
Percy POV
Look, I didn't want to be a big part of two wars. Or upset any annoying gods. Heck, I never wanted anything to do with the gods.
And yet here I am. Because the fates aren't fair, I'm pretty sure their system is rigged.
Just my luck.
It's better if you turn back right now so you never have to do things you regret and lose a lot of your friends.
Or get turned into a guinea pig. I swear I still crave lettuce sometimes.
Just erase this from your library, close your phone, and forget everything you know about the gods. If you're a demigod reading this you won't have much time to run before they find you.
Even if you doubt everything, I promise you it's not just a dream, I should know.
Don't say I didn't warn you.
My name is Percy Jackson, I'm sixteen years old and I am currently trying extremely hard to have a normal life with my friends, mom, stepdad, sister and amazing girlfriend Annabeth.
But it's kind of hard to do that when I keep being sent on quests.
So if you're reading this for enjoyment or you have a death wish (get off your phone it will attract monsters!) Then I suggest you find a comfy position and brace yourself, this is going to be a wild ride!
Let me tell you how my friends and I discovered wizards.
Don't worry, it gets weirder.

"Mom! Paul! I'm home!" I shouted into the main room of our little apartment. It's weirdly silent so I assume Estelle is asleep.
It's not rare, my sister sleeps like the dead in Elysium but when she's awake she makes enough noise to drown out a Siren.
My mom trudges out of the bedroom she shares with Paul and Estelle looking exhausted. There are bags under her eyes from sleepless nights and she's still wearing her clothes from yesterday. Her hair is in a messy ponytail and there's some unidentifiable stain on her shirt.
Nevertheless, she still seems to glow with beauty. Her smile would put Aphrodite to shame any day.
"Welcome home Cookie," she says kissing me on the cheek and ruffling my already messy hair. "How was school?"
I smirk "We were studying the Greek gods in history."
My mom laughs and my smile grows wider. She's so busy nowadays that she doesn't have much time to laugh but when she does it's the most beautiful booming laugh in the world. The kind that makes you want to join until your stomach hurts.
"I assume that went well." My mom smiled then her eyes lit up like she just remembered something. "Oh, today I had a little time while Paul was back for lunch and I got us..." she pulled out a little plastic bag full of blue sweets "...Blue candy!"
I laugh then give her a big hug "Aw, mom you didn't have to. You should've taken that time to get some sleep."
She hugs me back tightly and breaths in nervously, like she's preparing to tell me something "I know but we haven't had any in a while and you really deserve it, especially since..." my mom drifts off.
"Mom, what's wrong? Since what?" I ask worriedly, pulling away to look her in the eyes.
"Percy...Olympus called, we have to go up today for some sort of meeting. They have big news." she replied "And I don't know what to expect so I figured you'd need to brace yourself."
Now, listen. The Gods have been messing up my life for a long time, ever since I turned twelve and discovered I had half Olympian blood. So obviously I reacted the way any sensible demigod should react after being sent on two world-threatening quests. I plopped face-down on the couch and groaned as loudly as I could into the cushion.
My mother sat by my side and rubbed my back comfortingly. Suddenly she stopped and let out a shuddering sigh making me sit up to look at her sad face. "Mom, Its okay I was just joking."
She shook her head and smiled sorrowfully, reaching up to cup my face and observing me closely. "I just realized I never got a chance to say sorry, Percy"
I tense and frown, shaking my head "You don't have anything-"
"Yes," she cut in, using her 'let me talk, Percy' tone "I do. I never got to say sorry for not telling you about your father. For preparing you for your place in this world, and everything you had to suffer through."
My Mom shuts her eyes "I wanted you to have a normal life, even for a little while. I knew you wouldn't stay oblivious for long but I couldn't help but keep hoping that the fates would leave you alone.
"I thought putting you through all that stuff with Gabe, even if it was only on the holidays, would be worth it in the end. But all it caused was more bad memories. So I'm sorry Percy." Her eyes opened, revealing her teary eyes "I'm so so sorry."
I look at her for a moment and feel my eyes flood at the sight of her in so much pain. She truly believed it was all her fault.
I throw my arms around her and hug her tightly "None of that is your fault. You went through all of this with me." I speak firmly, believing in everything I said. "You have sacrificed so much for me and whenever things got insane you were always there for me. I love you Mom and I will never blame you, I swear by the River Styx."
She stays silent for a moment and then hugs me back. We stay there for a few minutes while our tears dry. When she finally pulls away my Mom looks me in the eyes and smiles with such warmth it could match one of her fresh blue cookies. "When did you get so wise?"
I grin "Well, you are the one who raised me." I think for a second "Though, having a daughter of Athena as my girlfriend could have something to do with it."
She laughs and my heart lightens "I wonder what Annabeth thinks about this random PTA meeting."
"It's not a PTA meeting, Cookie, it's a visit with omnipotent Gods in a palace made of gold and marble."
I shrug and relax on the couch "So a preparatory school PTA meeting that only serves olives and wine."
My Mom smiles and checks her watch "We better get going, Paul already knows we're coming home late so he should be here to take care of Tellie in a few minutes."
I get up and look down at myself, wondering if I should change. I'm wearing dark ripped jeans with a few stains left over from the pizza I had earlier, old black sneakers that were becoming pretty worn at the soles, and a Spider-Man t-shirt that I bought fairly recently. I squint and then shrug, deciding it wasn't worth the effort.
"At least change your jeans, Percy!" My mom calls from the kitchen, stopping me in my tracks. I swear she is telepathic.

We arrive at Olympus and I stand there, looking bitterly at the palace that held so many bad memories. Luke's face flashes in front of my eyes and my heart sinks.
Suddenly I hear a familiar voice call "Seaweed brain!" I whirl around and see Annabeth running towards me. She wears a huge, knit, orange sweater that reaches her mid thigh, and dark jeans with wine-colored Doc Martens. Her golden blonde hair is braided messily over one shoulder and her gray eyes sparkle with intelligence and wisdom.
Her nails are chewed, a pencil is tucked behind her ear, and ink stains her jeans. But despite all of that she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.
I beam at her and wrap my arms around her waist, her hands on my shoulders. "Hey, Wise Girl."
Annabeth rolls her eyes but smiles "Honestly Percy, is Wise Girl the best you can do?"
I grin back at her and reach up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. "You know you love it."
"Uh, are you guys done?" I pull myself away from Annabeth and see Piper standing there with her eyebrow raised and a huge smirk on her face. Next to her are Leo, Calypso, Jason, Hazel, Frank, Nico, Will, and Reyna. All of them looking either smug, uncomfortable (Hazel, Calypso and Frank), or bored (Nico and Reyna)
"Oh great, the whole squad is here!" I say and Nico rolls his eyes, the bags under his eyes are fading and the olive tint is returning to his face. I notice his hand in Will's and raise an eyebrow at him teasingly, he blushes a bit and looks away. That's new.
I glance over to see my mom standing with the parents of the other campers who were clustered in their own friend groups. A few were glancing around, it being their first time on Olympus. My mom has already seen it before, after the war with Gaea, so she just watched, kindly amused.
I recognized a lot of the palace, not just because I'd been there more times than I wanted to but because I'd seen a lot of the architecture as blue prints on Annabeth's desk. Tall Greek columns and pediments were now mixed with the modern designs of Henry. J. Hardenbergh (It's her fault I can recognize it). You might think they wouldn't go together but Annabeth made it work anyway.
"I like what you've done with the place, Annabeth. Looks like a mix of Athens and The Dakota." Leo says, whistling as he looks around.
Annabeth smiles proudly "Thanks, pulling all-nighters for a whole month really paid off." She eyes him suspiciously "I didn't know you liked architecture."
"I don't. Buildings are like giant machines except instead of breathing fire, moving, and making tofu tacos all they do is sit there. Imagine, the most interesting thing is the plumbing system." He notices Annabeth glaring and hastily changes the tone of his rant "But Bunker 9 wanted a makeover so I turned to some old pictures of New York for inspiration."
Jason steps in, probably to save Leo from Annabeth's wrath "How about we head in, it looks like the meeting is about to start."
The golden doors open and we're in the throne room. Zeus looks bored at the center, his face perched on his hand and looking like he was forced into calling the meeting, which he probably was.
All the gods look unhappy except for Aphrodite who beams radiantly. I wave at my dad who smiles grimly back at me, his eyes dull instead of the usual humor. That's not good at all.
Apollo's throne was the only one empty since he was still in exile, even Hades was there, sitting in a fold-out throne. Yes, those exist and I think they were begrudgingly invented specifically for when Hades visits Olympus.
Everyone files into the room and the door shuts. I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn around.
"Hey Percy. What's going on?" Grover whispers nervously.
I put a comforting hand on his shoulder and a give a less comforting "I don't know."
"Inferior mortals and half inferior mortals," Zeus begins in a booming voice, receiving many glares from bitter campers, me included. "We gather you here to bring you some news."
I brace myself for them to say there's a threat even worse than Gaea. To announce another war. To tell us we need to go on another. Fricken. Quest.
At the last moment I see Hestia and catch her eye. She gives me a sad smile, her eyes full of flames drifting back to the hearth. A chill goes down my spine despite the fire.
Aphrodite throws up her arms happily, interrupting Zeus in a way anyone less beautiful would never dare. "Olympus is moving to London!"
The room bursts into noise.
A/N End of chapter one!!!!!!!!! Next chapter will come out in a bit but it took me a while to come up with something to start. It'll be easier now, though.
