Narcissa

Dear Mother,

Father told me I have to date the cocky git Malfoy so that after 7th year, we'll continue the pureblood bloodline. Our families (Gaina and mine) are joining the 'Dark Lord', which is a bad, no, HORRIBLE idea. Gaina is engaged to a half-blood? Snape, apparently, but his mother was a pureblood before she died and in the Knights of Walpurgis which makes it okay for Gaina's parents. Lots of new first years have joined Slytherin, like Gemma Farley; she has the potential to be a prefect witch when she's older, I can feel it. Sorry I haven't wrote in a while but I got occupied with school. Father tells me you always told Bella and Dromeda to work hard at Hogwarts.
Three years have passed and I've done exactly that. Professor Slughorn loves me! I'm top of the class. Today, I've earned 20 points for Slytherin. That Weaslebee is such a suck up to Professor McGonagall. I'm great at Potions, Charms and DADA. Transfiguration is alright, but she deducts points from Slytherin and gives it to the whiny Gryffindors, which is really unfair.

I tucked the letter in the drawer then ran downstairs with my bag.

"Hurry up, Cissa! We're going to be late for Care of Magical Creatures!" Wow, Gaina has gotten bossy.
"Gaina, that class sucks." I whined, putting my bag down to the space on my right. "Why can't we ditch it? "Gaina looked annoyed, but let it go.

We sprinted to the forest, but I suddenly trapped my foot in a bush and tripped. Gaina was way too far ahead. I tried to jump, but then I fell on my face, and I swore, I heard a crack. I saw a flash of ginger, and then blacked out....
