Footsteps thunder through the empty corridor, so I quickly hide behind a large pillar. I peek around the pillar and from the corner of my eye I can see Professor Slughorn.  Of course he’ll be near the dungeons, he’s their head of house and trust me to have been oblivious to the fact he could catch me. I start sprinting through the endless corridor following that glimpse of red. I reach the end and see Molly but she suddenly apparates which is strange for a fourth year to be at that level of skill.

I stop for a breath and regret having my long brown locks tied up as I feel my neck hairs go up. I slowly turn to see Professor Slughorn right behind me. His face bears sheer disappointment at me as I turn to see him. “I’m disappointed Miss Fortescue, I expected better of you than to be sneaking around the castle after hours; you’re lucky Professor McGonagall didn’t catch you or consequences would be worse. As it’s late I’ll let you go if you give me a reasonable explanation for breaking curfew.”

   I quickly respond “Molly never in her right mind would sneak out after curfew, in fact she’s been acting really weird lately like creeping away at night and actually being interested in my date with that guy. I’m sorry Professor but I was just trying to find out where Molly went but I’ve lost her.” Slughorn nods his head and tells me that he’ll keep his eye out for her then escorts me back towards the Gryffindor tower. When we arrive he scolds me for being out after curfew even if I was looking for a friend and deducts ten house points from Gryffindor. The Fat Lady sadly smiles and lets me inside I rush up start to head from the common room when I was ambushed by the Prewett twins.

Gideon wrapped his hand around my eyes and dragged me back with Fabian clenching on to my forearms.   “Now Miss Fortsecue, why have you been out of the common room at this hour?” Gideon said seriously. Fabian jokingly remarked “We ought to report you to McGonagall.”

Together they said “Unless you give us a reason why you were outside the common room you’ll be in detention before you can say Filch.” Scarlet stained my cheeks, pointed to the door and whispered “I was following Molly, she was heading towards the dungeon and then apparated? After that I was caught by Slughorn and sent back here.”
Their mouths hung open when I wittingly said with a winning smirk “Careful you might catch flies; but seriously look out for Molly and get me an explanation, she’s been acting weird lately!” I skipped up the stairs quietly to the dorm and jumped into bed.

Molly

Shivering senseless I clench an old, holey woollen blanket covering my almost naked skin as I gaze through the misty air. Thunder blared through the cracks in the roof. A familiar crack sounded and a girl looking exactly like myself appeared but slowly the hair turned dark. She throws a top and jeans to me so I don’t ‘freeze to death’. This is the third time she’s visited but as always it’s just to take another hair of mine and brew more Polyjuice.

Although she’s decided to spark a conversation with me to stop suspicions. A flask of Veritisaum is shoved against my lips and pushed backwards. She asks me “ Are your brothers part of the Order of the Phoenix?” Reluctantly I quietly agree.  She yanks my hair then whispers deviously with cackle "they're in for some fun from my master"
