Chapter 5

Chapter 5

"I really hope that my Mom doesn't come in to wake us up in the morning," I yawned as Alex and I got into my bed.

"Well, we're both eighteen. It isn't like we're fifteen, you know?" Alex said as she got under the covers with me.

"True," I replied as I brought Alex close to me.

"I love you," Alex said as she closed her eyes.

"I love you too," I replied before kissing her forehead and then closing my own eyes.

"Ooooo! Al has a girl in his bed! Al has a girl in his bed!"

James' taunting voice woke me up suddenly, causing me to stir and sit up.

"Get out, you git," I rolled my eyes.

"But you have a girl in your bed. Not just any girl either. Your girlfriend!" James taunted loudly.

"Shut up, James!" I whisper yelled.

"Al, love, what's going on? It's like... Seven thirty?" Alex yawned, sitting up.

"James is just being a prat, that's all..." I trailed off, kissing her nose.

"Whatever. I'm going to go tell on you!" James taunted.

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Whatever, James."

"This is really good, Mr. Potter," Alex told my dad as she ate her breakfast.

Dad had made chocolate chip pancakes this morning, and I must say, they were much better than Mom's pancakes. He seemed to be able to cook much better for some reason.

"Thank you Alex! I'm glad somebody's guest compliments me when I cook breakfast!" Dad replied, looking James directly in the eyes.

"For the record, Dad, that was three years ago, and we both know that I'm dating Alice Longbottom now," James rolled his eyes.

I rolled my eyes and whispered to Alex, "James brought a girl home three years ago, she was a real bitch, actually, and she didn't hit it off well with my parents."

"Ah. I can tell," Alex nodded.

I held her hand over the table; she leaned her head on my shoulder and I leaned my head over hers.

"I've always wondered how you eat with that thingie in your lip," Alex randomly pointed out.

I have her a grin and pointed to the black rig on my lip.

"It's quite easy, actually. I just put food in my mouth, chew-"

Alex rolled her eyes. "I don't remember asking for your sass, Al."

"I don't remember you giving me a morning kiss," I smirked.

Alex rolled her eyes and pecked my lips real quick. I gave her a quick kiss back.

"You two are so cute together!" Lily squealed in excitement.

"If we ever get married we already discussed what our first song would be," I grinned while looking at Alex's green eyes with love.

"What is it?" Mom asked as she came and sat down next to dad.

"Africa," Alex told her, "It's by the band Toto."

"It's gonna take a lot to take me away from you... There's nothing that hundred men or more could ever do... I bless the rains down in Africa... Gonna take the time to do the things we never had..." Dad started singing.

"Yeah, that song," I nodded.

"That's like my favorite song," Dad stated, causing me to blush. My family was quite weird, in all honestly.

"You two are honestly my real life OTP!" Lily squealed.

I put my arm around Alex's shoulder; she leaned her head on mine.

Later that day, Alex and I were laying on my bed. Jet leg really sucked.

Her face lay on my chest, and my arm were around her. I rubbed her back. I kissed the top of her head.

"Hey," Alex whispered, looking up into my eyes.

"Hey," I smiled at her.

Alex's lips were soon on mine. We were kissing in a feverish passion; it was hot and heavy.

The kiss soon became less feverish and more loving. It was slow yet passionate.

My lips trailed down her jaw bone and down to her neck. Alex ran her hands through my hair and moaned. I ran my hands up and down her sides. Her hands traveled to my chest, where she ran her hands up and down.

We pulled apart due to the need for oxygen. I kissed the top of her head.

"I love you," I mumbled into her hair.

"I love you too," Alex replied, smiling.

When the two of us woke up, it was around dinner time.

Together, we got off of the bed, our hands interlocked.

"I just don't understand how Scorpius can just say no!" Rose's familiar voice echoed. "It's crazy! It's unreal!"

"I have a question... how is Scorpius?" I asked my cousin as I walked into the kitchen.

"He's good, and he asked me out again. I said yes," Rose sighed dreamily.

I nodded and sat down on the couch across from my cousin with Alex. I laid down on the couch. Alex laid down next to me and put her head on my chest. I wrapped my arms around arms her waist and kissed the top of her head.

"We haven't exactly formally met yet," Alex began, "but I'm Alex."

Rose looked at her with a frown on her face. "I'm Rose Weasley," she replied, her mouth in a straight line.

"Al tells me that you like reading?" Alex asked her, fidgeting with my hands.

"Yes," my cousin replied, her face still in a frown.

"What's your favorite book?" Alex asked her, trying to make a conversation.

"Hogwarts, A History," Rose replied, her face still the same.

"Mine is The History of Ilvermorny. I think you'd like it."

"You're judging me?" Rose accused.

"No... you just said you liked Hogwarts, A History, so-"

"So you judged me?" Rose growled.

"She was just suggesting a book you may like, Rose," I butt in.

"Well I don't need her opinion on what books to read!" Rose snarled.

"Well maybe you can give me some suggestions then? Some books for me to read?" Alex tried to make conversation again.

"I don't think so," she sneered at Alex. I frowned. I didn't understand as to why Rose was acting like this...

"I'll see you all at dinner tonight," Rose grumbled and got up.

"Don't worry about her. She's just in a mood. It's nothing personal," I told her.

"Are you sure?" Alex asked me, nervous. "I really want your family to like me."

"I'm certain."
