I was in a house that was empty except for a single crazy dude. He was Mr. Lovegood.

He was nice to me. He understood my situation (to some extent) and his daughter was missing. I felt bad for him. We could probably help each other.

I heard a tapping on the window next to me. It was an owl. It was holding a letter. I opened the window and the owl flew in.

"Mr. Lovegood!" I called. "There's an owl here with a letter!"

He came down the stairs with a small jar of owl treats.

I took the letter off.

On the front of the letter it said, "to Annabeth, from Percy."

"It's from Percy!" I screamed, opening the letter.

Mr. Lovegood gave the bird a treat as I quickly read the letter.

Dear Annabeth,

I hope this letter gets to you. You, my Mom, my stepdads, and Reyna (mostly you though) are the only people I can remember.

Are you okay? I miss you a lot. If someone hurt you, I swear I will make sure they get just as badly hurt. Probably way worse though.

Do you have somewhere to stay? I'm staying at Neville's house at ____________.

P.S.S. Apparently I have been getting smarter. I've been having lots of good ideas. Sending you this letter by an owl seems like an obvious solution, but no one but me thought of it.

P.S.S.S. I love you! A whole lot! You're going to Hogwarts! Have you gotten your supplies? I'm excited to see you!!!

Then I read the other letter.

"Mr. Lovegood! They have some information on Luna!" I yelled even though he was right next to me. He immediately turned and faced me. I gave him the other letter.

I found a quill and a piece of parchment and wrote down a reply. Mr. Lovegood helped me a little.

I had to add more afterwards because only once I finished did I realize I wrote it in Greek.
