Author's Note:

            This story takes place over the course of fifty years. All material obtained was consensually provided, and detailed from personal accounts. Not all of the material is able to be historically backed, but was included nonetheless in an effort to piece together the Life & Legacy of Hollywood's most cherished starlet, Honey Lane.

            This oral presentation has been compiled to the best of my ability, and was rather arduous considering many of the interviewees were hard to persuade, or in some instances, to find, some were more uninhibited than others, and some, regrettably have passed away. Alas, the project has endured.

            This book presents an unparalleled account of the depth in which Honey Lane's life both sank and soared. As for the anchorers and high-flyers, that is up for interpretation.

Frances Lovell (nèe Murray), better known by her sobriquet, Honey Lane, is a young starlet who tapped into her unmatched potential in the early sixties. She was indisputably made for the big screen, a motion picture beauty. But that was many years ago. Now, she's a self-proclaimed housewife, subject to suburban confines.

Her husband, esteemed writer, Warren Lovell, isn't quite as flashy, much more secluded and a self-proclaimed recluse who has always had aspirations of putting his words into someone else's mouth.

Vivienne "Vivi" Frazier is the couple's next door neighbor, and the wife of Warren's longtime friend from University, who moonlights as an English professor.

Frances, stricken and forlorn, living in the shadows of what was once a lively marriage, seeks solace in Vivienne, who is irrefutably attentive. The two strike up an affair. What comes next is all a matter of fate.

This is a Hollywood tale of fame, devotion, temptation, and betrayal, documented and chronicled as an oral overview of the Life and Legacy of Hollywood's finest, Honey Lane.
