9. Besides, I have my own greek god

"Nobody really wanted to seat beside me just because I was a 'ticking timebomb'."
👑S E L E N E👑
Monday rolled by pretty fast. Nothing much happened while Percy was home because he was pretty much stuck with my brother. They were all out on avoiding me like the plague. Well, Percy wasn't but my brother, that little shit, was.
I mean, with the things he has been doing, it would seem as if I'm the one who made a mistake and not him. So, in return, I ignored him like the Great Depression. To be fair, I had no one to confide in, my friends were both busy and my therapist was not in on Saturday.
"You know, you might as well break the whole food if you keep on crushing it." Kris pointed out with her fork. My brother was just on the other side of the cafeteria with some girl, who I think was the one Percy mentioned before. I wasn't actually angry for that, I was angry because he was so 'happy' with his life right now like I didn't even exist.
"I suggest that you get someone to supervise your dining manners." Percy laughed as he took the empty seat beside me. I rolled my eyes, "Please, I can handle myself."
He took my lunch and put his in replace, "Eat this. I don't think this one's still edible." He ruffled my hair and left our table. I rolled my eyes but started eating it anyway.
"Oh my God!" Both Valerie and Kris had their mouths hanging. They were squealing like pigs but I didn't know why so I gave them a questioning look, "Why?"
"What do you mean 'why'? Young lady, you have a lot of explaining to do."
I stopped eating and scratched my head, "Oh, you mean Percy?"
Kris suddenly slapped my arm lightly, "Tell us the hot gossip, when did you guys have a civilized conversation? You're acting as if you're friends now."
I shrugged, "Didn't I tell you this before?"
It was Valerie's turn to react, "'Before'? So this has been going on for long?"
"What? We just became friends last week. We mended our broken relationship, like you know, we had closure. He apologized, I forgave him. Now, we're friends."
"Doesn't seem like just friends to me." I heard Kris mutter with a grin on her face. "What? why?"
"I ship them."
"Oh, you and me both sister!" They both high-fived while I looked at them with a ridiculous expression. "Come on, guys. I liked him a long time ago but those feelings are gone, okay?"
Despite nodding to what I said, their expressions say otherwise. Those little shitheads. I rolled my eyes, I seem to be doing that a lot today.
"Come on, guys. Don't be ridiculous. We're just friends, besides, he'll never like me more than that." I muttered the last part to myself because I knew that it was right. Percy hated me for two years, who knows how long he can stay and actually be my friend?
After that, I went straight to my next class, chemistry.
I took a seat in the middle because I wanted to hear the lesson but not actually participate in the lesson, you know?
My head almost wanted to detach itself from my neck because of how boring the teacher was speaking, I love science, I only wished the teachers teach it in a fun way, when this guy suddenly entered the room holding a late pass and a paper which looked like class schedule.
Everyone immediately turned to each other to gossip about this new 'kid'. I, however, decided to study him. He had blonde hair, styled, he wore a Pink Floyd shirt, skinny jeans, and combat boots that immediately caught my eyes. Not only that, his face looked drop dead gorgeous for my standards. He had ocean blue eyes, sharp nose, defined jaw which had stubbles growing on it, and he wore a crooked smile which makes him look like a trouble maker.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Seavey. Thank you for joining our class, just pick your seat and we'll continue."
Unfortunately, the only seat left was beside me because nobody really wanted to seat beside me just because I was a 'ticking timebomb'.
"Hey." He propped on the seat beside me, "I'm Jona, short for Jonathan."
Just because I was feeling nice today, I went along, "Selene." I was pretty sure that he was gonna ignore me after that but he didn't, instead, he spoke even more.
"So, how would you rate this school? From 1 being the worst and 10 being the best?"
"Depends."
He hummed to himself before saying, "Okay. How about the faculty and staff?"
"I'd say at least five." I would've given a six if it weren't for Mr. Pettigrew and his shiny bald head.
"What about the students?"
I clicked my tongue, "They're dicks and bitches most of the time but some of them are actually nice and friendly so, maybe six and a half."
"What about the guys?"
"Seven, maybe?"
"What about the student coucil?" I didn't even hesitate, "I'll give them an eight."
"Why?"
"Because they're good and nice." I sighed dreamily, my mind drifting back to Percy.
Maybe it was the smile on my face or the look in my eyes but something gave me away. He chuckled, "I don't think this is about the group anymore."
I blushed, "What? I have no idea what you're talking about." Even though I knew what he was talking about.
"Oh, honey, guys tend to make girl look like that a lot."
I couldn't stop my mouth, "Does your girlfriend look like that?"
For the second time in less than two minutes, he chuckled again, "Dear, dear, Selene. I don't swing that way."
"Huh." It took me three long minutes and for the bell to ring to fully process what he just said, "Oh. Oh! Holy shit!" I pried, "Shit! You're gay?" He smiled at me, eyes twinkling. I frowned, "But, but, you're hot, like a guy straight from my dreams, drop dead gorgeous. Oh, why must all hot guys be gay!?"
He chuckled and hugged me, "There, there." I sniffed him while he wrapped his arms around me, "Dear God, you even smell good!"
"Now you have been hugged by a greek god." He smirked at me which made me want to throw him away.
"Apparently, they're arrogant assholes, too." I rolled my eyes and joined his chuckles. "Besides, I have my own greek god." I smirked in return.
A/N:This story has been camping in my drafts for a year, lmao. Even though it's shitty, I'm gonna post the rest of it anyway.
