"Surprised?" The man smirked sinisterly.
"There's no way.. there's no fucking way!" Jeongguk shouted angrily, tears beginning to collect in his eyes.
They laughed heartily.
"Oh, but there is, Jeongguk," they began to explain. "I never actually went missing and I never died."
"But...how?"
"I walked off in the forest because I had an important meeting to attend to. Then I used a fake body. It's very simple, Jeongguk."
Jeongguk, tears rolling down his cheeks, questioned, "Why?"
They sighed heavily at the boy's question. "You don't get it, do you? Oh you poor little idiot. Always so gullible. You know, everyone knows that you put on a facade. In reality, you're just a vulnerable little boy." They took a few steps closer to the crying boy.
"How did you know that I play that..game?" Jeongguk asked hesitantly.
"How did I know, you ask? Well that's simple. I know everyone that plays the game. You and Hoseok both play it, am I right?" They chuckled. "Of course I'm right. I created the game."
Jeongguk froze, his eyes opening wide and staring at the person before him. Everything was catching him so off guard. He wasn't prepared for any of this and now he didn't know what to do.
"I am your boss, Jeongguk. I'm everyone's boss. I know everything. I know the people Hoseok has killed. I know the people you've killed. I know that you requested to kill Yoongi and I know that you were filling out a request to kill Hoseok," they spoke softly, yet bluntly, their face just inches from Jeongguk's. "In fact, that's kind of why I brought you here. I couldn't let you request to kill innocent little Hoseok, so I had to find a way to stop you. He doesn't know what he's doing and he never has. He didn't know that I was going to go missing or end up dead, yet you still blamed him. You blame him now."
"You were my best friend! It killed me to lose you! He was the only one I had to blame!" Jeongguk wailed, hot tears polling down his face. "You can't judge me for that!"
"Oh, but Jeongguk, I can." They smirked once more, pulling a gun out and holding it against Jeongguk's temple. "The prophesy must be fulfilled. Say your last goodbye."
"I-I'm sorry. Please don't kill me," the boy begged, his whole body shaking in fear.
Grabbing Jeongguk's face roughly with one hand, they made the boy look them directly in the eyes. "You can't get yourself out of this one, I'm afraid. This is the will of God. You're a sinner and you deserve to be punished. This has been your destiny all along."
"Please!" Jeongguk sobbed, choking on his tears. "I'll do anything! I swear! Just please don't kill me!"
"Anything, hm?" They quirked an eyebrow, letting go of Jeongguk for a moment.
Jeongguk nodded vigorously. "Anything."
"Sorry, but the prophesy must be fulfilled."
"Taehyung, no!"
The gun was pressed to Jeongguk's temple once more, the trigger being pulled without hesitation.
Jeongguk's body flopped to the ground, blood pooling from the wound.
Crouching down beside the body, Taehyung shook his head. "You had potential, Jeongguk. You were helping bring justice to this Hell of a world. Then you went and killed an innocent. I wish it didn't have to end this way, but killing innocents is not the will of God."
