"Yo, Jeongguk!" The orange-haired male called out, jogging up to his younger friend. He slung an arm around the boy's shoulders, pulling him into his side. "What's up?"
Jeongguk flashed him a small smile, loosely wrapping his arm around Hoseok's waist. "Nothing really, Hobi hyung. Just the usual, I suppose. What about you? Anything new happening with you?"
Shaking his head, Hoseok chuckled. "Nothing really– oh! Oops, I lied. I downloaded this game onto my laptop last night. I haven't played it yet, but it looks really cool!"
"What's it about?" He questioned as the two boys entered the school, soon spotting their good friend Yoongi.
Hoseok removed his arm from Jeongguk. "I don't really know, to be honest," he began explaining. "It's some shooting game or whatever. It didn't really say what exactly it was about. The game was pretty brief with information. It wouldn't even let me play until today."
Furrowing his eyebrows, Jeongguk looked at the boy strangely. "That's kinda weird, don't you think, hyung? You might want to be careful."
"I'll be fine," Hoseok brushed the younger's worry aside, fist bumping Yoongi as he approached the duo. "Hey Yoon."
Yoongi greeted Jeongguk, shoving his hands in the front pockets of his jeans. "What are you nerds talking about? It can't be anything interesting," he teased.
"Hobi hyung downloaded some weird game last night that won't let him play until today," Jeongguk replied, summarizing their conversation. He ran his fingers through his hair, softly ruffling his brown locks.
The raven-haired boy cocked an eyebrow. "It won't let you play until today? What the hell kind of game did you even download, Hoseok?" He poked his tongue out of his lips, running it over the silver jewelry pierced through the left side of his bottom lip.
Rolling his eyes, Hoseok crossed his arms over his chest. "It's just a game, Yoon. You and Jeongguk are being way too skeptical about a dumb game. Not that I think there's a reason to be concerned, but I'll stop playing it if there's anything weird, okay?" He glanced between both boys as they nodded. "Alright. We should probably get our stuff and head to class now."
The trio split up, each going to their respective locker to get the things they needed for their first class. They then went to their classes, none of them sharing their first period.
The day went by as usual, but it seemed to go so much slower for Hoseok who was itching to get home and play his new game.
If he wasn't glancing over at the clock every few minutes, he was clicking his pen obnoxiously or drumming his fingers on his desk until someone became irritated and told him to stop.
When the bell for the last class rang out, Hoseok had already gathered his things and jumped out of his seat, speeding out of the class and to his locker. He tossed whatever he thought he would need for homework into his backpack and zipped it, slinging it over his shoulder.
He met back up with Yoongi and Jeongguk who were waiting in their usual spot just outside the front doors of the school.
"Hey Hobi, do you wanna go to the arcade and then get some pizza with us?" Yoongi asked, nodding over at Jeongguk as he spoke. "After that, Jeongguk's mom said we could hang out over there."
"She said you guys could stay the night too since it's Friday," Jeongguk added on to Yoongi's words.
Scratching the back of his neck sheepishly, Hoseok looked away from the boys before sighing. "I actually can't. I have a lot of homework and stuff I have to do."
Yoongi rolled his eyes. "You suck at lying. We know you just want to go home and play that stupid game. Just tell us."
"Fine," he sighed, looking at the two. "I do want to go home and at least check that game out and see what it's about. If it's weird or not good or whatever, I'll text you guys and then meet up with you at the arcade. Sound good?"
Jeongguk nodded, a faint smile on his face. "Sounds good to me. Hyung?" He inquired, looking over to Yoongi for his answer.
The ravenette shrugged, shoving his hands in the pockets of his pants – it was a habit the boy had when talking to people. "S'cool. Just text us, I guess. See ya, Hobi."
Yoongi began walking away, Jeongguk soon following after he waved and wished goodbye to Hoseok.
Said boy began his own trek home, walking faster than he normally would so that he could get home to his new game. As he walked, he thought of the different possibilities of what the game could be about and consist of.
"It's probably just some shooting game," he mumbled to himself. "Jeongguk and Yoongi are too concerned about this. It'll be fine."
A/N:
Sorry that this chapter isn't very exciting. I wanted to have somewhat of an introduction to Hoseok and his friends and their relationships. The next chapter should be a little more exciting.
Also, these chapters don't have any specific length, so some may be shorter and some may be longer. It just depends on the content of them.
