10~ Sandhir Moments

For the rest of the day, Kishore kept eyeing Randhir while he kept pretending like he is okay. But his feet hurt and he is limping most of them, when Kishore isn't around. Seeing him in so much pain was hurting Sanyukta. And she vented out all her frustration on Vidhushi on many occasions. Vidhushi remained clueless till the night.

'Move, I need the Kitchen.' Sanyukta nudged Vidhushi speaking to her in a stern tone. Vidhushi placed her palm on her hip and demanded to know what was bugging Sanyukta since afternoon.

'Nothing.' Sanyukta replied with a straight face.

Vidhushi rolled her eyes and sighed. She muttered something and walked out of the kitchen. Sanyukta is relieved that she left.

Sanyukta opened the top drawer and took out a bottle of Mustard Oil. She heated it on the stove and transferred the contents into a small steel bowl.

'Ouch!' It is hot. Carefully, with a help of a kitchen towel, she placed the bowl on a small plate and smiled looking at it.

Carrying the oil, she walked towards Randhir's room. But as she was about to enter his room she froze on hearing her father's voice.

Shit! Sanyukta is frustrated as the whole day was utter crap for her.

She turned around and forced a smile at her father. Kishore stood at a distance with his hands folded at the back. He continued to look at his daughter with a straight face.

'Papa, woh-actually-Randhir-woh-he-has pain-toh I thought-that...' Sanyukta stammered pointing towards Randhir door. She stopped speaking when her father raised his palm. Sanyukta gulped.

'I had been noticing something was wrong. Okay, apply the oil properly.' He said. Sanyukta is relieved. She wanted to hug her father and thank him but by then he had left.

She smiled widely- at least something good happened.

Randhir sat on the bed getting bored AF. He kept touching his feet and wincing. He cursed and lean against the bedpost.

He is startled when someone opened the door. Opening his eyes, he turned his head and smiled as Sanyukta entered the room. He looked curiously at the bowl she held.

'I got this oil for your feet.' She said sitting at his feet.

Randhir nodded. 'Keep here, I will apply it in a while.' He said.

'No, I am going to do it for you.' Sanyukta said and Randhir looked at her surprised.

'But what if your Hitler Dad comes?' Randhir pointed out. Sanyukta chuckled and shocked him by telling that he knows.

'Still, I can't let you touch my feet. It's awkward.' He said seriously.

'No, it isn't.' Sanyukta argued. She leaned forward, her fingertips inches away from his feet.

'Sanyukta, Please, don't' Randhir held her hand

'I want to, Randhir.' Sanyukta whispered and smiled at him. Randhir relaxed. She held his shoulder and made him rest against the bedpost. He smiled gratefully at her. With their gaze locked they admired each other lovingly.

Sanyukta is the one to break the eye contact as she looked at the bowl. Randhir tilted his head little and continued to admire her. Sanyukta dipped her fingers into the hot oil, rubbed it on her palms and touched his feet.

Randhir winced and Sanyukta winced too. She looked at him concerned.

'Did I hurt you?' She asked. Randhir simply smiled shaking his head. Sanyukta smiled back.

As the hot oil touched his skin and Sanyukta's soft fingers massaged his feet, Randhir felt the warmth travel into his body. The oil sucked away his pain. But the main reason for the pain to subside was the fact that love of his life, his wife, Sanyukta was giving him the massage.

'Done.' Sanyukta exclaimed and Randhir shook his head slightly. He realized all this while he had been lost admiring her. Sanyukta looked up at him and he quickly fixed his expression. She smiled at him.

Randhir is little disappointed as he watched Sanyukta stand up. As she covered him with the duvet, she advised him to rest.

'Okay,'- She looked lovingly at him, - 'Good night.' She blew him a flying kiss. But as she was about to go, he held her hand and she stopped.

'Don't go, stay.' He said in a soft voice. Sanyukta looked helplessly at him but he continued to stare at her with pleading eyes, - 'I need you.' He whispered. Sanyukta felt her heart melt. She nodded and sat beside him.

Randhir held her oily hand and she blushed as he kissed the back of her palm.

'Thanks.'

Randhir sat up straight and leaned closer, Sanyukta shifted closing her eyes. He held her neck and moved in for a kiss.

'Sanyukta!'

Sanyukta and Randhir jumped apart on hearing Kishore's voice. They groaned.

'Sorry, Randhir.' Sanyukta sounded helpless. Randhir is disappointed AF but then this is the test. If he passes then mangal hi mangal. He smiled and patted her hand. Sanyukta is relieved Randhir isn't angry.

Kishore had been agitated since he let Sanyukta in Randhir's room and she was taking too much time to come out. He got worried leaving the two madly in love couple alone at night. After all, he is a daughter's father, it's natural to get anxious in such situation.

He is relieved on seeing Sanyukta coming out.

'Beta. How is he feeling now?' He asked genuinely concerned.

'He is fine now.' Sanyukta smiled. 'Good night, Papa.' She was about to leave when her father interrupted her.

'I know you and Randhir love each other.' Sanyukta lowered her gaze and nodded. Kishore held her shoulder.

'Beta, I know when people are in love they don't see what is right and what is wrong. Beta, somethings are better after Marriage.'

Sanyukta felt her cheeks burn as she realized what her father meant. She nodded avoiding his gaze.

Kishore smiled patting her shoulder. 'You are my sabse acha wala beta. I trust you.' He said.

Slowly, Sanyukta looked up into his eyes. Seeing the pride in his eyes, Sanyukta felt guilty thinking about the bathroom incident.

Randhir is my husband- Sanyukta reminded herself. She recollected their marriage up at the terrace and inwardly smiled.

I have done nothing wrong- she self-motivated herself.

Sanyukta smiled at her father, - 'I never let you down, Papa.' She replied confidently. Kishore smiled and patted her cheek. They bid goodnight and left their separate ways. Sanyukta to kitchen and Kishore to his room.

Precap:

Everyone sat at the dining table having breakfast when the doorbell rang loudly. Someone rang the bell repeatedly.

Randhir got up to get the door when Kishore stuck out his palm, he gestured him to sit.

Kishore got up. He didn't listen to Sanyukta's protest and walked to get the door.

He opened the door and blinked at a short, young fair skinned girl. Her long tresses open and resting behind her. She seemed fidgeting type as she kept bouncing on her feet. She grinned ear to ear at Kishore.

'Hello, Uncle.' She waved excitedly

'What do you want?' Kishore asked sternly.

The girl smiled. 'Sheku. I mean Randhir. I am his friend.' She replied brightly.

Kishore is surprised. He eyed the girl's attire- very short floral summer dress.

'What kind of friend does he have.' Kishore thought bitterly. Knowing that Randhir has a "girl-friend", in his mind, Kishore felt insecure for his daughter.
