Basically over 4000 orphaned girls were transported from Ireland to Australia between 1848-50 to work in workhouses and/or be a lords wife. Most of these girls were 8-14.

The British believed the famine was a blessing God to kill all the irish catholics. Queen Victoria spread rumors like this one.

The soup kitchens fed 3 million irish a day in 1847 (the worst year of the famine) they were shut down after 6 months due to the british wanting money from the dying irish.

Robert peel, a British lord, sent £100,000 worth of Indian grain. It was as rough as dog nuts, the irish were told to water it down until it was mush. It was named "Peels Brimestone"

When the british found out that irish women gave birth to be able to eat the baby from starvation, they cut out the uteruses of any woman they found.

Workhouses were made for 100,000 people, but some of them had as much as 300,000. The British refused to make more, leaving most of the population of the workhouses to die to starvation or disease.

The disease rotted people's bodies.
Some people walked around in hope of help while missing limbs that rotted off, their bodies turned yellow, blue, purple or black depending on the stage of disease.

Massgraves were used to dispose of bodies. 50-300 bodies were dumped in a deep hole, covered and a small cross made from twigs were placed ontop.
Every county has atleast one massgrave sight.

Queen Victoria is said to have mocked the irish over dinner, making starvation jokes with an irish accent.

Alot of countries are calling the famine "The Irish Genocide" due to the british refusing to give aid to the irish and instead leaving them to die.
