3Gun visited Lean's grave and saw how it had been kept up, deciding there was no way he allow it to be desecrated by a gunfight. He went to the hotel to let Chester know that they would pick another place.

Chester surprised him by starting the fight right there. After several shots were fired, Chester lay dead in the hotel doorway. 3Gun retreated to the saloon and drank.

Lou met Enzo and dropped several hints about her 'diamonds'. Not convinced but curious, Enzo suggested another meeting sometime and Lou agreed. When he had gone Bruce asked if she thought he fell for it and Lou just laughed, she knew a grifter when she saw one.

Rusty had a confrontation with Smartie just as he finished writing. The tea cup fell and Smartie bit his finger, getting blood on the writing and making a mess. He would have to write it all again but he promised it would make up for having to do it again.

A new edition of the paper came out announcing the winner of the mayoral election and giving almost all the front page to the new mayor, Lorne Order. Praising quotes followed.

Dixie Bellows was the new Deputy Mayor and Will Barter the new Council Chair. There was a side piece about an error reporting the rescue of Hugh Bellows but by this time everyone knew who was involved and how.

More drama continued in the Lou, Shamus and Buchanan brother's dilemma. Shamus was angry Lou was with Bruce and he made it known to Buck, trying to get him upset at stories about Lou and the judge and how they had arranged Bruce's bail.

No love was lost among the players.

The wedding bug invaded Busted Gulch and it was AJ, nervously but determinedly posing the question to Loren on Lover's Hill. Opening the special box from his family, he presented her with the intricately designed gold and jade bangle. She replied with an overwhelming, Yes!

Lorne was sworn in as Mayor and he and Myna promised one another how their life together would be; his Marshaling days were over, now he was going to be the best husband she could have.
