The seven of us sat down, we were served some snacks to dine on while we talk. I noticed that the staff were rather, depressed, there was no hint of happiness in them.

Cho: I must say, Sir Draven, you are quite interesting in terms of appearance. I have never seen your kind before.

Draven: I am sure of that, you could say that I am one of a kind. Most people are scared of me so I was surprised when you didn't show any of it.

Cho: Haha, we welcome all folk, different or not, you are always welcome. Tell me, where do you hail from?

Draven: I come from a country that no longer exists, me and my people are seeking refuge for the time being.

Cho: I am sorry to hear that, I was similar to you, escaped a conflict and began a new life in these lands.  You see, even as we speak we are in a conflict against the other factions, each trying to gain the power hold over the other. I must ask, what is that ship you came in? It is massive and strange looking.

Draven: I am sorry but I cannot disclose that information.

Cho: Shame, but I guess I can't help it. Well, let us discuss more important things. You said you had refugees with you?

Draven: That is correct, there were more of us but right now we number in about a hundred, slightly more.

As we continue to talk about the problem of taking in the refugees a voice in my head is heard. Feminine.

Atsuko: Pst, over here. It's me, Atsuko.

My eyes drift towards her, I notice a determined look on her.

Atsuko: I need to talk to you. In private.

I am at the same in wonder but also creeped out by this telepathy. It feels strange. Cho notices me glancing over at her.

Cho: I see Atsuko has caught your eye Sir Draven.

Draven: I do not mean to be rude, but she certainly is a woman of pure beauty.

Cho: She is, isn't she. Would you wish to speak to her?

Draven: That would be lovely. You can feel free to discuss with Kahoda, he is my second in command.

Cho: Great, Atsuko, why don't you show our guest around?

Atsuko: Certainly father.

She bows and gesture for me to follow after her. The two of us walk out and walk through the empty halls, there is the castle staff here and there, but mostly we are alone. She shows me to the garden before sitting down on a bench and looking around.

Atsuko: Please sit down.

Draven: Certainly. What did you want to discuss?

Atsuko: I will be blunt. I want you to kill my family.

I recoil a little at such a request, staring at her in shock.

Draven: I am sorry, but you want me to do what?

Atsuko: Kill them, I know it might sound strange, but it has to be done.

Draven: Why? I mean, if you hate them, that isn't a really valid reason. And if you want to take over the throne, I definitely don't want that.

Atsuko: Tell me Draven. Have you ever misjudged someone?

Draven: Yes, why do you ask?

Atsuko: What you see from them is all a facade. They are trying to fool you into thinking they are good people. But all they want is to use you.

Draven: In what way?

Atsuko: I am sure that you noticed that the staff here are, how to put it lightly, emotionless. They look defeated.

Draven: Yea, I did and?

Atsuko: You see, all of them dread the day that will eventually come when they make even a smallest of mistake and they are taken into the laboratories.

What the hell is she even talking about? Laboratories, what kind of damn laboratories is she talking about.

Draven: I am sorry, but what?

Atsuko: Under this castle and all around our territory my family has laboratories in which they experiment on the populace. Torturing and defiling their bodies, turning them into masses of mutated flesh all in hopes of creating perfect slave soldiers.

Draven: So you are saying he wants my people to conduct his experiments on?

Atsuko: Precisely. He had never gotten a chance to experiment on demons and other creatures and I fear those experiments might get more gruesome and horrific but might yield good results.

Draven: And let's say I do help you out, what then? Your country would loose their leaders and collapse.

She smiles at me.

Atsuko: You said you lost a country and that you were a leader of some proportion. Am I correct?

Draven: You can't be serious?

I and she knows what she means and wants.

Atsuko: I am not a leader and I have no use for the throne. You, on the other hand do. Kahoda seems like a trustworthy person, he could be your accomplice. You thought that I wanted to become a ruler, but I do not wish of that.

Draven: Wouldn't that not only put distaste in your people but also make us an easy target for other?

Atsuko: Our people do not prize honor that much anymore. Killing my family would not do too much in the long run, they might be confused at first but if you promise them a brighter future they will stand by you. As for our neighbors, you have experience in negotiating, so use it.

Draven: You want me to do everything?

Atsuko: No, you have Kahoda and me.

She smiles at me, there is a slight smug on her face. I would be annoyed but she is quite damn beautiful, I might just be a sucker for pretty women, but she might also have a point. If it is true that these laboratories exist, then my people would be in trouble and killing the family would not only put a stop to the experiments but also I could become a leader. Two birds with one stone, but is it worth it. I take a moment to think it over, I mean, what else can I do. Run on forever, sail the seas in search for a new home, I and Kahoda can but the civilians can't.

Draven: And your brothers?

Atsuko: They might be worse than my parents. All of them are monsters.

Draven: And how do I know that you are speaking the truth.

Atsuko: Let me show you.

She signals to the one of the maids going about to come over. As she takes a stand in front of us I can see the nervousness in her posture.

Maid: Yes, Lady Atsuko.

Atsuko: Meet our guest, Draven.

The maid bows down.

Maid: Nice to meet you, Sir Draven.

Atsuko: Tell us, if you were to make a big mistake, what would happen to you?

Maid: I would get fired.

Atsuko: It is alright, you can tell the truth, but be quiet. Don't worry, I won't say a word to anyone.

Maid: I would be sent to the basement, where the others had been taken, where my sister had been taken. Only gods know what would happen to me there. I saw one of creatures from the basement, their corpse unrecognizable from the being they were before.

Draven: Is what you speak the sole truth?

Maid: Yes Sir.

Draven: Alright, Lady Atsuko. I will help you out, but I will have a couple requests once it is done.

Atsuko: Anything you wish. You are free to go maid.

The maid retreats and Atsuko and me make our way back. I summon an STG 44 which Atsuko looks fascinated by my power and inquires to know more.

As we walk into the room Kahoda notices what I am carrying but the others don't seem to note that what I carry is their end.

Cho: How did the tour go?

Draven: Quite nicely I must say. But I am sorry that I could not visit your basement.

Cho's eyes widen and then he glances at Atsuko. I put the STG to my hip and let loose, shooting Cho many times, his body crashing onto the floor. Reika and Atsuko's brothers stare in shock. I dispose of them also quickly, feathers, dust, blood, it all flies up. Their bodies come crashing down onto the ground and Matsui's slumps onto the chair. Atsuko holds onto her ears. I load another magazine in.

Kahoda: What the hell was that?! Why did you kill them?

I hear Reika struggling, coughing up and trying to crawl away. I climb onto the table and dump the whole mag into her. I feel a little refreshed, exactly what I needed after so much stress being built up.

Draven: You see, Atsuko told me quite a lot of interesting information about these assholes. Did you know that they had laboratories in which they experimented on the populace, doing what could be the combination of the SS and Unit 731, if you know who they are.

Kahoda: Are you serious?

Draven: Yep and she confirmed it and so did a maid passing by.

Kahoda: Well, if you excuse me, I must do something.

He walks over and pulls out a Colt and dumps a couple mags into their corpses. I am glad that he carries the same distaste for it all. I smile spreads across my face.

Kahoda: That felt better. So, what now?

Draven: Are you interested in introducing a thing called democracy into these lands and becoming my vice president.

Kahoda: Gladly. And Atsuko?

Draven: Atsuko? How about you become my prime minister? Atsuko?

She is still shocked, her ears probably ringing, judging by her ears she probably has a more sensitive hearing and I should have warned her.

Atsuko: W-What power is that?

Draven: A powerful one, I will explain it to you later, or Kahoda can. Anyway, do you want to become a prime minister?

Atsuko: What is a democracy?

Draven: Democracy is when the people get to vote on what happens, when they elect their leaders. But we will be more of pseudo democracy. They will chose many things but not the leaders.

Atsuko: And what would my job be as a 'prime minister'?

Draven: We will explain it all. Just, do you accept?

Atsuko: I... I guess I do.

Draven: Perfect. Kahoda, spread the news that new leaders have come into powers, Atsuko, you write me down all the candidates for the following things, trade, education, culture and other things that I will report to you later on.

Kahoda and Atsuko nod and quickly leave the room. I take a deep breath, the blood that courses through my veins boils from the pure excitement. Kahoda and me will finally be able to build a nation of our own. There will be struggles and dangers of course. But maybe we will be able to figure out what to do. Our knowledge from Earth will be alien to these lands, but who says they won't be welcome. With me and Kahoda's experience and knowledge we will be able to dictate security and army, so there is no need for ministers for that. Oh boy, am I excited. Things are looking up, that is for sure. Keeping Atsuko is quite a good idea as she is the most knowledgable and might be well known on this continent so that is that. I hope we will be able to build an alliance with the other factions. But we shall see what the future hold.
