You are awoken by commotion from down bellow and you wonder what it might be. You get up, and grab your rifle and look down over the edge. You spot a couple of goblins making a ruckus, those green short things that are in so many books. You wonder which goblins are they, are they the savage kind or the ok ones.
You yell: "Oi, you down there, what do you want!?"
As you yell all of them look up and start making noises. As you are about to start saying something else an arrow flies by your head and you back away from the ledge. "So it is those kinds of goblins, well..", you grin "time to kill." You approach the ledge with the rifle in your hands and aim down. You pull the trigger killing the archer, the goblins get startled from the gunshot. You cycle the next one and hit another one, they start to panic and start to run away.
You yell out: "You can run, but you can't outrun a bullet you suckers!! Hahahaha.." You keep firing at them, you miss a couple of times but it doesn't matter. A couple manage to escape but otherwise a successful killing. After they have left you quickly grab everything and head out, your presence has been probably noted by those who managed to run away and you don't know and want to know how many of them are there so you head out. You walk into the night, not wanting to stop until you reach a safe distance, then you will rest.
Sun starts to rise and you feel exhausted from the walk and the lack of sleep. You think that you are probably far enough from them that they won't pose a problem. So you rest against a tree trunk to grab some sleep and some well deserved rest. You awake a little while later, surprised nothing has come to harass you. Feeling rested enough and having discovered that this forest isn't as safe as it first seemed you head out again.
A day later.
You finally reach the mountains that you wanted to reach so badly. You slowly travers up, finding the least steep path you can find. You have grown stronger that is for sure, you would have never been able to do what you are doing now. As you climb up you finally find some flat ground and decide to set up camp here. You look out into the forest, it spans as far as the eye can see. You take a moment to enjoy the view, the sound of fire crackling and a soft wind hum brings peace to your soul. You think that since you are heading into the mountains you will need some warmer clothes so you decide to summon a Red Army winter uniform.

You immediately feel more snug and warmer but also heavier but it is a small price to pay for comfort. You take out the last piece of the boar meat, but you did yesterday manage to hunt a deer exclusively for the trip ahead. As you finish eating and drinking your water you lay down and close your eyes to get some sleep. You think about summoning a tank, but decide not to, the terrain is probably not suited for them, the noise might trigger a avalanche. So by foot it is as much as you hate that idea. You head out, the first thing to note is that the air feels fresher and cooler. Even though it was nice down in the forest, maybe a little cold night but rather nice here it is like it is night time temperatures during the day and who knows what the nights will be as you will climb up higher. The terrain is definitely a lot more difficult to travers but not too bad as it isn't like the cliffs that you had to climb up to get here.
Four days later.
During the four days you managed to come across some rather interesting 'creatures'. One is what looked like a yak but it was larger with curly wool, seemed docile as when you approached it it didn't pay you any mind. Later you saw some birds, large wings with thick fur around their neck and legs. Saw a couple of wolves in the distance, led by a much larger one giving you the clue that you will need to be wary of them, you don't want to be mauled by a pack of them. And the last interesting thing you saw, and frankly worrying was a yeti like creature, you WILL have to be alert against them especially.
As you have climbed quite a lot you started seeing snow, and with that blizzards but you had the face covering which did help. But all of these things didn't stop you from enjoying the scenery, this world is rather beautiful, much prettier than back home. Every time you think of back home you are hit with a little sadness but you are growing to suppress it. You saw some bones of a rather large creature laying against a ridge which confirms that there are bigger beasts out there. But so far you haven't had a need to confront anything and you just sneaked by anything that you could.
One week later.
You are panting, hiding behind some boulder and pulling out an arrow out of your leg. You scream out as you pull it out you pant recovering from the hit of pain. The arrow didn't go to deep so it isn't anything life threatening but it hurts and you will need to bandage it up. You are grab your Webley and pull it out of it's holster and step out of cover aiming.
You yell: "You fucking, stupid goblins, come here and let me kill you all!!!" you fire and keep yelling "Come at me you assholes!!!", you run out and break open the gun and insert new rounds with the speed loader and start shooting again. You have become rather skillful with the use of firearms and with the adrenaline pumping your senses are sharpened and pain suppressed you laugh maniacally as you kill each goblin one by one "ahahahaah, come, come you fucks, don't you dare run from me!!!"
Some goblins manage to run away since you can't go and chase them. You pant, feeling satisfied and happy looking around at all the dead goblins littered around. You see one crawling on the ground, wounded, it's eyes filled with fear and almost like begging you for mercy. You slowly limp towards him as he tries to crawl away. You load another set of rounds into the Webley and aim at him. You look at him with deadpan eyes and fire one, fire the second, the third, the forth, the fifth and finally the sixth when you pull again when all you hear is a click. You limp away from the carnage, feeling no remorse for those savages. You rest against a rock and light a fire and start to stich up your wound. Once you have finished stitching it up you bandage it up and feeling exhausted not only from the fight but also from the pain you fall asleep quickly.
In the morning you put your rifle on safety and use it as a walking stick to help you move. The pain is still there but you need to keep on moving. You are really hoping to come across some kind of civilization that at least won't try to kill you. You travers through the mountains, walking through blizzards and snowstorms.
And after a couple days later you see something that brings you upmost happiness. A fortress, a town, some kind of encampment and it looks like it isn't abandoned. This might be the first time you will come intact with a civilization. Filled with this euphoria you move faster towards it, you ignore the pain as you are just too happy. Once you finally reach the wall you start to get dizzy, you hear a voice but you can't make out what they are saying.
And then, everything goes dark.

So, how is it, does it feel to rushed? I don't want to make this part of the story feel to long since there isn't dialogue since y'know, Mason is alone, and from here there are going to be more faces and dialogue. This is my first story so do expect some inconsistencies in lengths.
Tell me your thoughts.
