Backstory: Keisha was born to Riley and Thomas Cruz when her older brother,Victor, was just two years old. But unfortunately,Riley passed away giving birth to her. Watching her brother play sports throughout his childhood made her develop a passion for cheerleading. When she was in 6th grade,she signed up for cheerleading and made the cut. Of course, she recieved harsh racist comments about a black girl being on the cheerleader squad,but she paid no mind to it. When she was in 8th grade,she came out as pansexual to her father and he loved her unconditionally. Now as a Freshman in high school,she hopes that people will be more open to the idea of having people of color on sports teams because of the harsh comments she had to put up with in middle school
