Chapter 47

Lady Amelie Buencamino POV

"Steen! Azarea! Come here now! Steven!" namamaos na ako kakasigaw pero ang mga taong kanina ko pa tinatawag ay hindi pa rin lumalabas.

Iritableng pumasok ako sa loob ng kwarto at nakitang tulog pa rin si Steven habang si Steen ay nakadagan dito tulog din at si Azarea na nanunuod sa Ipad nito habang nakaunan sa braso ni Steven.

"How many times should I call all of you?" sabi ko bago tinapik tapik si Steven.

"Hmm" ungol nito.

"Bumangon ka na dyan! Steen ikaw din." sabi ko at tinapik din ang anak ko. "Azarea stop watching and eat there! Lalabo ang mata mo nyan eh."

Dahan dahan namang bumangon si Steen at bumaba sa kama. Umupo ito sa lapag at pumikit. Si Azarea naman ay bitbit ang Ipad na nagtungo sa labas ng kwarto.

"Steven! Bumangon ka na dyan, ano ba?! Akala ko ba gusto nyo umalis ng maaga?" napahimas nalang ako ng sentido ng mahiga si Steen sa carpeted na lapag.

"Ayy! Pusaaa ka!!" napasigaw naman ako ng bigla nalang akong hitakin ni Steven dahilan para matumba ako sa matipuno nyang dibdib.

"It's 4 AM in the morning, it's too early for them. Maybe we should let them sleep first hmm." he whispered in my ear while giving me wet kisses.

Mabilis na hinampas ko naman sya at bumangon.

"Civil lang tayo! Wag kang maharot, Steven." mahinang kastigo ko sa pilyong lalaking ito.

"Come on, Steen" sabi ko sa anak ko na hanggang ngayon mukhang zombie na hindi makabangon sa lapag.

Inupo ko si Azarea at Steen sa sofa na nasa labas ng terrace kung saan naka handa ang umagahan. Naka-suot na sila ng hoodies at nakaligo na rin sila.

"Do you want pancakes or rice?"

"Pancake with chocolate syrup!"

"Rice with ham and eggs, Mom."

"Okay! Pancake with chocolate syrup for Steen and Rice with eggs and ham for Azarea."

Nilagay ko sa mga plato nila ang pagkain at masagana silang kumain.

"Rice with Mommy for me!" nakangiting bungad ni Steven. Inirapan ko lang ito ng umupo sa tabi ko at tsaka bumulong.

"Stop being so naughty! Alas singko palang ng umaga pero ang pilyo pilyo mo na baka gusto mong upakan kita!" nakangiti kong sabi pinipigilan na marinig ng mga anak ko ang pagkairita ko.

Bakit kasi kailangan sabihin pa yun? Pwede namang ibulong nalang eh. >-<

"Rice with bacon and eggs for me." ngiti nito at tinaas taas pa ang kilay. Inirapan ko lang sya at tsaka sumandok ng pagkain nya.

Kumuha rin ako ng pancake at nilagyan iyon ng strawberry syrup tsaka bacon.

We eat and wait for the sun to rise. Tanaw na tanaw mula sa terasa ng bunker ang papataas pa lamang na araw.

"Mom, can I asked something?" bulong ni Steen na nahihiyang tumingin kay Steven na may kausap sa telepono sa di kalayuan.

"Yes, baby. What is it?"

"Who's that guy? Is Ninang Rhianne telling us the truth?"

I confusedly look at him.

"Is he our Dad?" Azarea asked poker face.

"Uhm... What do you guys feel about him?" I asked.

"He looks nice and it looks like that he can fight." Azarea said and shrugged.

"He look at you with so much love, Mom. Dunno why, but I think I like him." Steen said and sat next to me.

"Don't you want to know who's your father? You didn't asked me about your father ever since."

Azarea stood up and sat next to Steen.

"If that guy is our father it's okay. I do like him, mom!"Azarea said.

"Me too!" second by Steen.

"Thank God! That I raise you two well. When he finished the call gave him a hug, alright babies?"

"Yes, Mom!" they answered in sync.

More minutes passed before Steven sat again beside me.

"Sorry 'bout that. Matti just called me for the bonuses of the employees."

"It's alright." I answered.

I look at my kids and motioned them to hug Steven.

Steen and Azarea stood up and go to Steven.

"Oh, uhm. D-do you want something?"

I laughed silently on the nervousness on his face.

"Are you our father?" Azarea asked.

Steven look at me and I just nod.

"Yes. I am your father!" he proudly said and hug our kids.

The mere sight of them makes my eyes poured into tears.

The smiles of my children is what I really want. Hindi mapapantayan ng kahit anong bagay ang mga ngiti nila.

This moment was too perfect and I will treasure it.

"I love you!" he mumble as I heard a gunshot.

Thirs Person POV

"WHAT!?" sigaw ni Steven sa kabilang linya.

"He killed two of our people. I think Sadie save her that day! Diba nakita nyo sya ni LA sa Pangasinan." Matti answered to him.

"How can Jorlie escaped there in the Island? At bakit ngayon pa!?" galit na sagot ni Steven.

Lumingon naman si Steven sa gawi ng pamilya nya at nakitang kausap ni Amelie ang mga bata. Napangiti nalang sya sa magandang tanawin na iyon.

"We don't know how, but we are sure that she got help from someone and the only one that we think of is Sadie. That can't be Jezkiel, because he's here with us trying to help us with Tyler." Gino answered on the other line.

"Fuck! Tangina! Nasaan na si Jorlie hindi nyo pa ba nakikita? What's the use of the tracker you've injected to her?!" galit na sabi ni Steven sa kabilang linya pilit na hindi tinataasan ang boses para hindi mapansin ng pamilya nya.

"Sandali lang! JC was their that day, wala sya dito ngayon at sa mga nakaraang taon wala din sya sa Pilipinas."

Naalala na naman ni Steven ang araw ng medical mission nila kung saan dumayo sila sa Isla na may nakatayong kweba.

FLASHBACK (CHAPTER 22)

"Make sure that crazy woman, won't last a day. I want her dead. She ruined everything in my life." malamig na sabi ni Steven habang naalala ang mga paghihirap ni Amelie dahil kay Jorlie.

He tricked Jorlie to the cave. Akala ni Jorlie ay ipapakita na ni Steven ang divorce papers at gusto nitong ipakita ang bagong biling isla, but things changed when they captured her on the islands cave.

Mabilis na tumango si Tyler at Gino tsaka magalang na umalis sa harap nya.

"Isn't that too fast? You should gave her atleast a week." suhestyon ng kanang kamay nya.

"Do you really think that crazy bitch isn't able to make a plan in a week? Think carefully JC. Hindi ko gagawin sa kanya to kung hindi kailangan, I treasure her as a friend before and I will treasure her memories with me especially when we're just kids."

Kasama nya si JC at hindi iyon alam ni Amelie. He trusted JC the most because of his loyalty to him and to Amelie.

"That crazy bitch ones carried your child, remember that."

"I do remember that, but I also remember the night she go on my office full of blood because she aborted the baby. Hindi ako makakalimutin, JC." sagot ni Steven bago tuluyang umalis ng isla.

Naiwan si JC, Tyler, at Gino sa isla. 

"Gave her a week." sabi ni JC bago pumasok sa kweba.

END OF FLASHBACK

"JC was their, but why would he let Jorlie live?" napapaisip na tanong ni Steven sa kabilang linya.

"Because he can't accept the fact that Amelie was deeply and madly inlove with you." Jezkiel answered on the other line.

"What are you doing their, asshole?" iritableng sagot ni Steven.

"I'm trying to remove the bullet on Tyler's legs. Don't you remember when we we're in collage and they're in highschool! Amelie and JC was always together. Remember when JC showed up out of nowhere in your house trying to cancel your wedding? Remember when JC try to asked you where Amelie is when you guys go in the bunker three years ago?" pagpapaalala ni Jezkiel sa mga kaganapan sa mga nakalipas na taon.

Steven remembered when JC told him to back off when he tried to court Amelie.

He remembered the night JC showed up in his house and punched him, because he will marry Amelie.

And the bunker, he receive a hundred of calls from JC and a hundred of messages trying to ask where they are and threatening him if something happens to Amelie.

"That prick! Why did he impregnated Rhianne if he's in loved with Amelie?!" galit na tanong ni Steven sa kabilang linya.

"We don't know his motives, but we're sure that JC conspire with Jorlie. We' ll just send some of our people their for your safety." Matti answered sounding so nervous.

"Alright, thank you. Update me on her whereabouts, there's no gun in here but the bunker is a bulletproof we can atleast prepared ourselves." Steven said and cut the line.

"I love you!" Steven muttered to Amelie before hearing a gunshot.
