Chapter 4

Pagkatapos ng madamdaming usapan ni Steven at LA ay napag pasyahan nilang ituloy na ang pagpa-file ng divorce Atty. Hero Bareras help them on the papers needed to petition the divorce papers.

"So this is it LA your going to leave this brute for good." there's a hint of disbelief in Matti's voice hindi din sya nito masisisi dahil isa rin ito sa saksi kung paano nya pag tyagaan ang sitwasyon nilang mag-asawa.

She just nod to their friend.

"Mukhang titira na naman ako sa bar kasama ang gungong na'to." natatawang sabi nito.

She akwardly smile and look to Steven, he's also looking at her.

"Y-your not going to the bar, right?" alanganing tanong niya.

"Of course not. Why would I, right? I still have a year with you." he said and smiled to her.

Naiiyak na naman sya pero pinigilan nya nalang.

Sila pa talaga ang magsasakripisyo para sa baliw na kababata ng asawa.

"Let's have lunch, my wife!" sabi ni Steven at hinawakan na sya sa kamay.

She just smile and walk with him while their hands hold each other. Ito yung pangarap nya na akala nya hindi na magkakatotoo.

Jorlie is Steven's friend. Magkababata at magkaklase sila hanggang college. Jorlie took Education and Business Management with Steven, ilang taon silang magkasama at hindi napapansin ni Steven na may gusto si Jorlie sa kanya to the point na naging obsession na sya ni Jorlie.

Ang pamilya ni Jorlie ang unang nag-alok ng kasal sa pamilya ni Steven.

Flashback...

Ngayong araw ang punta ng pamilya Dimon sa bahay ng mga Kings.

A marriage for convenice is a usual thing for rich people in the industry or in the world of business.

Dimon Builders Realty Corp. is one of the new construction company that makes a billion of pesos in the Philippines.

King Classio Hotel is also one of the Highest Top-Rater Hotels in the Asia manage by the father of Steven, Philip King.

"Is my suggestion okay?" nakangiting tanong ng ina ni Jorlie, Liz Dimon.

"Uhmm that's sound okay to me, Tita Liz." Steven said.

"Then, that's great hijo! So when do you plan to start the preparations for the wedding?" abot sa tengang tanong nito kay Steven.

He looks to her Mom like asking for help.

"Ah Liz isn't that too early to ask? Steven just agreed malay ba natin kung may iba pa syang balak gawin." sabi ng ina nya.

"Why Steven, do you have other woman in mind!?" taas kilay na tanong ni Liz kay Steven.

"Oh mom! Don't pressure my babe so much. He's just thinking of me as always." sabi ni Jorlie.

Gusto na nyang itulak ang babae at umalis sa bahay nila upang puntahan ang totoong kaligayahan nya.

Her girlfriend.

Her innocent girlfriend.

The one for her.

The one and only Lady that she will love, the only woman she wants to spend his whole life with. Her own image of an Angel, her Amelie.

Siniksik pa lalo ni Jorlie sa kanya ang nagmumurang dibdib nito pero hindi sya makaramdam ng kahit anong pagnanasa sa babae tanging inis at galit lang dahil sa pangingielam nito sa buhay nya.

Jorlie knows that she already have a woman in her heart, in her mind, and of course she's already in his soul. Mababaliw sya kapag nawala ito sa kanya.

Hinila nya palabas si Jorlie ng hindi na nagpapaalam sa magulang nila, dumiretso sila sa may garden ng bahay nila kung saan nanduon ang kaibigan nyang si Matti na matagal ng may gusto kay Jorlie.

"Hey honey!" bati pa ni Matti kay Jorlie na inirapan lang ito.

"Steven, babe why the hell this guy is here? iritableng tanong nito.

"Then why the fuck are you here with your parents!?" nagbabaga ang mat ni Steven sa sobrang galit aa babae.

"We told you, you and I are going to marry each other!"

"NO FUCKING WAY!!" sigaw nito sa babaeng kaharap. " How many times should I tell you that I don't want to marry a crazy bitch like you! Jorlie your just a friend!! You will never be a lover to me." isang sampal ang natamo ni Steven mula kay Jorlie.

"How dare you say that to your fiancée!? To your future---" he cut her off.

"Your not going to be my wife, Jorlie! You will never be a wife nor a girlfriend to me. You are just a friend and you just broke the friendship we build for 16 years." sabi ni Steven at akmang aalis na ng yakapin ni Jorlie ang bewang nya.

"No Steve! Please nooo! I'll be a good wife, just marry me. Be with me. I'll be good." parang batang nagmamakaawa ito sa kanya.

"Jorlie, ang pagmamahal hindi hinihingi kusang ibinibigay yan at kapag nagbigay ka wag ka sanang umasa na may kapalit, dahil hindi lahat ng pagmamahal nasusuklian ng tao. Dahil madalas ang pagmamahal ang sumisira sa tao." sabi nya at tuluyan ng kinalas ang pagkakahawak ni Jorlie sa kanya.

Bumalik sya sa loob ng mansyon nila at tinungo ang living room na kinalalagyan ng mga magulang nila.

"I believe your daughter really loves my son, but I don't think my son do--" pinutol na ng ina ni Jorlie ang sasabihin ng mommy nya.

"That's not a problem. Matututuhan din mahalin ni Steven si Jorlie they're good for each other." sabi ng ina ni Jorlie.

Kumatok muna sya bago tuluyang binuksan ang pinto.

"Son!" tawag ng ina nya.

"Where's Jorlie?" tanong ng ama nya.

"I left her with Matti."

"WHAAAAT!?" malakas na hiyaw ni Liz.

"You know Matti, right? He's the one that wants your daughter. Its not me its him." he coldly said.

"But my daughter wants you--" he cut off Salvador Dimon the father of Jorlie.

"I don't give a damn." he said." I already have a woman in mind and that's not her and I told her many times about it but she doesn't listen."

"You can learn to lo--" pinutol na nya ang ina ni Jorlie.

"Love can't be learned! It must be felt by your heart not by your mind." sagot nya." Love will never be real if that love is just learned. Ang pagmamahal hindi nasa isip dapat nasa puso, kasi kung mahal mo ang isang tao you should know how that love works. It isn't about forcing the one you love to love you back, its about learning to love and respect you lover wants." mahabang litanya nya.

"This isn't going to work, Liz!" sabi ng ina nya.

"NOOO!! My daughter wants your son and you agree to it!"

"We didn't agree, we just listen to your wants." his father said.

"Then we should have a deal then?" suhestyon ng ama ni Jorlie.

He looks to his father that looks onto him. He just shookt his head just like saying no.

"Its a no. We don't need to have a deal Mr. Dimon, it's my pleasure to say no to you." sabi ng ama nya na ikinangitngut lalo sa galit ng pamilya ni Jorlie.

End of Flashback...

They are now in the 7th branch of RAHR here in the Philippines mas malapit ito sa Buencamino Bank Co. kaysa sa main branch na sobrang layo pa.

They are eating a seafood salad, steak, pasta, and a pizza. Simple but its her favorite she just can't eat a lot still thinking about their conversation.

"Do you like it?" tanong ni Steven sa kanya.

"Uhm yeah! Thanks." she smiled a little not reaching her eyes.

"You barely touch your food and you're saying you like it!?" nagtatakang sabi ni Steven lumipat ito ng upuan sa tabi nya at hinawakan ang kamay nya." What's wrong my wife? Do you want something else?" tanong nito.

She almost cry again hearing him say "my wife"

"Mamimiss ko yan."

"Alin?" tanong ni Steven.

"You being clingy, carring and especially being jealous." she said.

"Me! Jealous!? To whom?" nagtataka naman syang tinignan ni Steven.

"Hero Bareras!" she said and smiled to him sweetly.

'Hay. Bakit ba ang gwapo gwapo mo!? Kaya madaming nababaliw sayo eh! As in literal na nabaliw' she said at the back of her mind and shookt her head.

"Do you really want to do this?" he's back again with his serious tone.

"We still have a year to enjoy, right!? Matagal pa bago ma petisyon yung divorce papers kaya let's just enjoy." she said not minding his question.

"Okay"

She just smile to him.

Lumipas pa ang ilang minuto ay napagpasyahan naman nilang pumunta sa Reál Amalia Hotel y Restaurante o RAHR kung tawagin ng iba.

Halos tatlong oras ang byahe papunta duon mula sa BBC. pero ito ang kaunaunahang punta nya duon na magaan ang pakiramdam nya alang pagpapanggap.

Ang alam kasi ng mga tao duon ay si Jorlie ang girlfriend ni Steven pero ngayon ay kung makabow sa kanya ang mga ito ay tila mo hindi sya pinagsabihan ng mga masasakit na salita.

"Goodafternoon Lady--"

"Its Mrs. King, Secretary Fey!" pagtatama ni Steve.

Secretary Fey smiled apologetically to her.

"Goodafternoon Mr and Mrs. King!"

"That sound so good into my ears, Secretary Fey." Steven smiled to her secretary and look to her.

"Shall we go to my office?" maloko ang ngiti nito pero hindi nya nalang pinansin at tumango agad.

"Good decision, my wife!" sabi pa nito kay LA.

"Ahh sir! Wai--"

"Cancel all my appointments, Fey!"

"Pero --" hindi na natapos ni Secretary Fey ang sasabihin nya ng tuluyan ng makapasok si Steven at LA.

"--sir padating daw po si Mam Jorlie." dugtong nalang nito sa kawalan.
