A week and a few days earlier...

Tano

Here I was sitting and looking into the distance.
A lot has happened since the incident.

I had to move out technically speaking.
I was in a condo recently bought in the woods.

Which is sometimes scary because anybody could be lurking but most of the time it's just insects or small animals passing by.

"Ooweee! Oowe" I turned back quickly and walked inside.

"Relax relax , I know it hurts but I have some remedies to help ease the pain and help you heal quicker"

"It really hurts, I really wanna get them now"
I chuckled she had her sense of humor when she wanted to be violent.

"Where's everyone?"
"Where are we ?"

"Everyone is still traveling from place to place to get home, and to get back at King" I answered

"And where are we ?"

"Well we're home"
She looked confused

"When you entered the hospital , and we got the news that you were in coma and were to wake up soon . Aiden said to send you out ASAP . Making sure that you're safe he told everyone you were dead. You're brothers ofcourse didn't buy it so they know you're alive" I shrugged while she her mouth hung open .

"So you guys lied ? My poor best friend" she covered her mouth
"I can't imagine how Anjelica must feel or even worse Jeremy."

"Did you want king to know you are ? Or ? Would prefer him send another set of armed men to kill you ?"

"Well...it was just a little white lie" she shrugged "wouldn't hurt nobody " she made me laugh. Made me thankful she was alive.

"Before I forget" I pulled out my phone and dialed Aiden. "And before I die"

"Hey boss"

"Tano I hope this is important because if it isn't -"
"She's up"
That shut him up.

"Put her on"

I put the phone to her ear"who's this ?"
She looked at me confused but grabbed the phone nonetheless.

I guess she heard his voice because she got all happy and teary eyed.

"Aiden" she breathe out . I took this as my cue to stand outside. Give them a lil space and to do a quick prayer.

It is going to take the strength of the lord to get through these next few days.

She was done a minute later. "Tano I'm done!"

I walked in to her trying to massage her arm. "This still hurts tho"

"We'll get that fixed as soon as possible"

"Why couldn't you just say asap"

"Because I wanted to say it in full"

"But you could've just made it easier by saying ASAP"

"Fresh out and you're still annoying" I teased.

"Fresh out and you still have no sense of humor" she answered back.

"These few days are gonna be eventful"

"Are we going to see Aiden ?"

"Nope . Not yet" she frowned
"Oh he didn't tell you ?" She looked at me confused "tell me what?"

"You're gonna be training with me the next few days"

The words left my mouth and she scoffed and dramatically fell back on the bed.

But then started bawling about how her arm was hurting her .

"It's okay I feel the same way"

"Tano no offense , I love you I really do but with the way my chest and arm are feeling right now I just wanna sleep and relax"

"Let it heal properly and stuff" I looked at her slightly smirking . Shoving my hands in my pockets.

"Can't escape this one. Boss's orders."

"Aiden wouldn't let me suffer like that I don't believe you"

"You're right. He actually wanted to keep you safe but your brothers insisted you get some training . You can have body guards and whatever but one split of a second anything can happen . Like you getting shot for instance"

She frowned looked like she wanted to cry.
"Ughhhhh fine" she folded her arms slowly making sure she doesn't hurt her hand more.

I went and took out all her medication.
She wouldn't be fully healed but she would be alright by the time she's somewhat ready.

"Do I have to take these ?" She pouted teary eyed. I had 2 pills in my hand.
I looked at her like she was crazy.
"How old are you 5?"

"You're being super non sensitive right now" she rolled her eyes sniffling. I took the cream for her wound. And I had to clean it so if she was teary eyed now she'd be bawling later .

Thank God I'm a Man.

"Ready ?"
She was confused. So I lifted the things in my hand "time to clean the wound"

Her eyes were wide as saucers , she really looked like she'd seen a ghost.

"It's not that bad" I tried to convince her but she wasn't having it.

"I have to clean the wound or the healing process might just take longer."
She started shaking her head noo.
I breathed out. Lord it already started please share your strength and patience with me please.

"Fine . Stay that way then it certainly doesn't bother me." I put the items down and I went about my business. I picked up my phone and I went to sit down on the couch nearby in the hall and pretended to be unbothered. Knowin very well Aiden is going to have my head for it.

About a minute later
I hear her footsteps coming closer.
"Tano... Tano.." I ignored simply because I was annoyed.

She started crying softly trying to take the bandage off of her chest. Feeling that feeling in my chest. I got up and pushed every negative emotion aside and went to help her.
I sighed. The feeling in my chest about seeing her cry wasn't leaving. So I had to apologize.
"I'm sorry"

"I'm sorry too"

She finally pulled it together and dealt with it like a big ole girl.

I massaged the cream on the wound I fixed the stitches and she was good to go.

I could've sense tiresomeness in her movement.

"I'll be heading to bed now" she got up and dragged her feet.
"Alright. Training starts tomorrow"

"Ugh" she scoffed and stomped tiredly to the room. I chuckled. This is going to be a very long week.

Present time

Tano POV

Seeing her point her gun at him had me in tears.

"See I told you that training would come in handy" I spoke lowly.

"Look at you" I whispered sounding like I'm going to cry.
I knew this was a serious moment but it was also a touching moment.
All my hard work . I didn't think she'd make it this far.
"She's even holding the gun right-" I started wiping under my eyes.
"Dawg not the time" Jason said holding a gun towards king himself.
I was just so proud.

"It's just I remember it like it was yesterday -"
Bursting into an mini emotional cry.
Jason screwed his face up at me but still handed me a tissue.

"Thanks" I replied
