Giovanni Leone Santorini's POV
"Are you pregnant, bambolina?" I was almost doing flips as soon as the realization hits me. I don't know what came into me, but since I took her, I never used condoms, unless she uses pills. The thought of her using it made me feel disappointed.
The hope slowly plummeting to the ground. I quickly shook the negative thoughts off, and tried to be optimistic, not wanting my hope to it's imminent death.
I don't know why am I acting like this. So possessive and persistent over her. I was afraid to get into any serious relationship before, that's before I met her. It's obvious since my life had been attached to mafias and illegal doings. I've been chased by death not more than once, and still running away. I have several enemies, and there's only few people I really trust.
Now, I brought her into my world, full of shits and danger.
Dark and deadly.
I adjusted myself, shifting my body a little bit to face her while watching her. She was laying on her back on the bed. She'd been vomiting since this morning at five. And my heart clench at the sight of her, sitting on the floor while hurling, emptying every content in her stomach.
My hand involuntarily brushes her cheeks. I'm completely smitten by her, and I can't deny it. Heck, I'm not going to deny it. I've been very vocal on my actions and feelings towards her. Just staring her beautiful face, made me forget who am I. What do I do, and that I was surrounded by evil
"That's impossible, Gio. I've been using pills." She stated as she stared at me in vexation, dragging me out of my train of thoughts. Even on her weak state, she still has the energy to snap. I stifled my amusement, but I knew my eyes couldn't hide it.
Since when I'm too transparent?
Oh yes, when I met my little spitfire, my bambolina.
When her words finally squeezes in my crammed brain, my happiness slowly withered. And then I realized, she may be wrong.
You see, she's always snappy to me. She's really showing weird stance, so why can't I think that she's not pregnant?
I just kept that thought in my head and not wanting to piss her even more. Her lips is purse and I knew she's already vex.
Again, thinking of a little boy who looks like me is overwhelming. Suddenly, I want my minnie me and minnie her. I wanted a big family.
"Would you like me to cook you some food?" I asked.
She shook her head furiously. "Please don't cook. You're going to burn the place down, and I can't even run, incase the whole building is on fire." She looks so worried.
Alright, for the second attempt of cooking -because they say, stomach is close to the heart- I almost burned the place. I'm just glad there's a fire extinguisher that's of reach when needed.
I had to call someone to replace the stove.
"For now, I just need liquid Gio. I might throw it up anyway. I think I got a bug, that's why I'm having this diarrhea." She explains with her eyes hazy. She looks groggy so were her voice.
It's already eleven in the morning. The doctor I called is on her way.
"Alright, just stay up for few more minutes. Diana will be here any moment." I kissed her forehead before I stood up and tuck her in. "I'll just grab some more water for you." I said and she nodded, with her eyes still shut.
It's so hard to see her like that, sick.
....................................................
"Boss, we caught a spy dawdling inside the brewery lab." Isaias words grasp my attention. "We had been watching his suspicious actions since yesterday, and we just found out that, he wasn't an employee, but his name was in the employee list in the lab book, but not in the system." There must be someone who's working with this guy." He elaborated.
I've been really frustrated since the doctor said that Enna has the flu. Now, it's perfect to vent my anger and frustrations. I'm so frustrated that she's not pregnant, and at the same time, she's sick.
"I'll meet you in the clubhouse." I ordered in my controlled deadly tone and hang up the phone.
"Where are you going?" I heard Enna behind me. She's awake. It's already four in the afternoon. The doctor gave her some tonic water and it seems working. She had been sleeping for good four hours.
"Emergency." I replied as I turned to see her. She hauled herself up, propping her back against the headboard of the big customized bed.
She looks a lot better now.
I walk to her and sit on the edge of the bed. "I'll be back early, bambolina. I'll just have to meet this person." I didn't specify since she doesn't need to know.
Her eyebrow cock-up in curiosity. "Fine." She finally agreed after a few seconds passed.
"I'll see you shortly. I will let three of my securities to stay and watch you. Felicity will be here to help you too incase you need anything." I explains. "Call me if something happened. Alright?" I leaned down to kiss her.
She nodded.
I kissed her forehead, then her lips briefly before heading out.
I don't want to leave her, but I needed to know who's behind this. This guy better spill the beans if he still wants to see the light tomorrow.
I quickly went downstairs. My beach house has an underground where all my guns and security stuffs are hidden, and pick my favorite ones. I put the Colt .38 revolver which I bought from an auction owned by Al Capone, and tucked it inside pocket of my coat and another pistol, carefully tucked the gun in the back of my waistband of my pants.
Then, headed out. I saw my seven securities rounding the area approaching me.
"You, you, you and you." I pointed the first four securities in front of me. "Stay here and watch my Enna. Report to me every hour, and check on her in case something happened." I ordered coldly.
The four bulky men nodded their head. Fear is clear in their faces.
"And all of you," I pointed the rest. "come with me." Then I walk to front of the lobby building. I met four employees working in my resort.
"Buenas tarder, señor." (Good Afternoon, Sir.) They all greeted, bowing lightly in respect.
"Mi amiga necesitaría algo de comida en cualquier momento pronto . Dile a Felicity para cuidar de ella , mientras que yo me haya ido ." (My girl friend would need some food anytime soon. Tell Felicity to look after her, while I'm gone.) I said in Spanish.
"Sí señor." (Yes sir) They said in unison.
I quickly walk to where the two SUV awaiting. Vito and Isaias is at the clubhouse with the traitor. The clubhouse is our hideout just another town, where our beer brewery was located. A room underground of the brewery, hidden and a tunnel connected, for escape incase there's a sudden raid.
Inside the van, I called Vito for any development. "He's tough." I clenched my jaw hearing his words.
"Does this guy has any family?" I asked. If he won't talk, then I'll use any possible alternatives to make him concede.
"No. He was an orphan and no details of someone adopting him or anything. He just came out from the jail of attempted rape. Someone must have paid this guy to spy, or maybe he was sent to do more than that." Vito explains further. He sounds pensive.
"What about the distillery in Milan? Have you found the culprit yet?" I asked him.
"No development yet, but I'll let you know as soon as we get a lead." Vito responded, sighing momentarily.
"We are getting close." I said and ended the call.
The SUV entered the underground parking lot. My head was already working like a clock on what I'm going to do with that dickhead. He's going to face my wrath. He doesn't have any idea, who he was dealing with.
A cold bastard, Giovanni. A merciless that even death had finally resigned chasing me.

Athena Guidici's POV
It's been six hours and yet that ass hasn't arrived. After I had my dinner, I felt a lot better. No more woozy feelings or tummy ache. So I decided to spend my time in the infinity pool that was surrounded with blue lounge chairs that matches the color of the water, and four canopy's at every corner of the pool.
There's a bar also located on the left side corner of the pool area, with two bartenders working.
The place was gorgeous. The humongous beach house that was almost like a mansion, was in the middle of the resort. There's a lobby at the entrance, and another building which is the snack bar/slash restaurant.
And at the beach, another medium size bar with another two bartenders. Along the seashore, were a line of umbrellas made of palm tree leaves. It was gorgeous. The seashore were well-maintained. No seaweeds scattered around.
It was like paradise and the weather is gorgeous. Palm trees beautifully landscape the place, different tropical flowers with an amazing smell.
I sigh.
I decided to walk around and ventured around the beach house while waiting for him. I've been walking around the hallway. The house has eight rooms, five bathroom, a powder room, it has its own gym at the second floor, entertainment room and library.
I just don't know it there's a basement. Giovanni never mentioned it to me.
I went back inside our room. The room is almost three times my room back home. With two adjoining walk-in closet, an ensuite washroom, humongous bed, and the wall is painted beige. There's a huge balcony, overlooking the ocean, a mini setting with a eighty inches wall mounted flatscreen. He also has its own bar on one corner of the room.
Everything inside is so manly yet boasted extravagance in every corner of the room.
I lay on the soft bed and I shrunk with the size of the bed. Maybe this bed was customized.
Well, with Giovanni in it, it surely looks small. He's very tall and muscled man.
Gosh, I missed him already. He said he'll be back and it's already almost midnight. I look at the phone sitting on one table at one corner, beside the love-seat and tempted to call him, and again, I dismiss the idea.
When my eyes landed back on the phone, I saw the red light blinking.
I walk and check, and saw there's a voicemail. I quickly hit the play button. I might have missed his call.
"Hey loverboy .. I've been waiting for you. I know you're in town!" A purring voice of a lady played in the voicemail. "Saturday ten AM. End of final-"
I hit the end button furiously as I grit my teeth in anger. "That ass." I clenched my jaw maddeningly as I stared at the phone, vehemently.
God, I felt so jealous. "I'm so going to kill that dickwit!" I clenched my hands.
I decided to walk around to calm myself. I need something to vent out my frustrations. "Shit, shit..." I hissed as I strode out of our room and ventured aimlessly around his house.
Then at one corner of the hallway, the beautiful old black and white picture caught my attention, and the quotes in it. "We don't call the cops, We call our family." Five old burly men in suits, three of them with guns.
I wonder if one of them were Gio's dad? or maybe not. Maybe just a random picture. A mafia picture. I know some men like mafia. Like my dad.
I look at the picture again. The five men was standing in front of a classic car looking all deadly and menacingly.
I wonder if it was a photo of someone painted it?
I touch the rectangular frame hanging on the wall, eye level. It felt like a paint. There's no name or signature on the picture. Maybe behind it. I carefully took the frame which I'm glad wasn't heavy, and just as I took it, I saw a round almost kind of button on the wall, that of the same color as the all, beige. At a sudden glance, it doesn't look like a button, unless you took a close look. I wonder what is it for.
MY curiosity kicks in. I push the button and just beside the painting, the wall cracks and push forward lightly then slides open.
"Oh my God," I quickly put the frame back on the wall and involuntarily my palm covered my mouth gaping at the rectangular opening. I look around the hall first to check if someone saw me and when I'm sure I was alone, I bravely walk down the stairs.
The place looks unsuspicious.
When I got to the last step of the staircase, my eyes scanned the the place. A huge living room welcomes me. Gray L-shaped couch over a deep red furry carpet. A huge flatscreen on the wall. A classic wooden coffee table in front of the couch. Then behind was a huge bar. I ventured through the room and I ended up to another room. I opened the metal door, it was heavy and then there, I was surprised to see all kinds of guns on display.
Then, I realized. I entered inside his vaulted gun room.
I ran my palm of the guns displayed, feeling the metal. I took one of the pocket size gun and run my hands in it. It felt cold, but smooth.
I know how to use gun, because dad teaches us how. That was when I was in high school. He said if something happened, since he gets a lot of threat due to the kind of business he has.
I check if the semi-auto handgun- just like the one dad had- if it's loaded or not trying to avoid touching the trigger, with my index finger along the side. Grabbing with my thumb and forefingers of the slide frame, and slides it down and check on the injection pore to see if there's a round in it, but saw nothing. I slides it back down with my index finger drifting away so not to hold on the trigger.
Then I heard a sounds just above the ceiling.
Maybe he's here.
I quickly stormed out of the vaulted gun room and ran up the stairs without realizing I was still holding the gun. I slides my hand underneath the picture frame and pressed the button. I saw the door clicks and then slides to close then it clicks indicating it was close. The door then blended with the wall, and it looks perfectly unsuspicious. Even if you stared at it, you couldn't tell it was a door. It looks like a part of the wall itself.
Dammit technology!
I remember someone is here.
"Shit!" I mumbled inaudibly as I stared at the gun. What am I gonna with this? I know there's no bullet in it so it's not harmful, but who knows. Maybe I was wrong.
I quickly tuck it inside the pocket of my robe with my hands, and I'm just glad it was deep.
My heart was racing rapidly as I walk back to our bedroom.
Just as I passed the foyer, I saw the back of one of his securities and I felt relieved. I thought he's here.
I quickly strode up the staircase up to our room on the second floor.
When I walk inside, I quickly close the door and leaned my back against it, as I let out a loud relieved breath I didn't know I've been holding for a while. I took the gun out of my pocket and stared at it.
I decided to put it inside the top drawer of the beside table on my side, and I decided to go to sleep. I couldn't wait for him. I need more rest since last night, I wasn't feeling well.
I threw my robe on the foot of the bed and crawled inside the blanket. It took me a while to finally find sleep, after tossing and turning around.
-----------------------------------------------
I woke up with a kiss in my forehead. I smelt his sexy scent that I've missed for long hours. This dick-wit finally remember me.
I didn't wake up until I felt his weight lifted up and his footstep. I snap my eyes open and saw his back heading to the washroom. I look on the slit opening of the curtain and there's no light seeping through the slits. I glance on the table cloth and it's still five.
"So you decided to go home?" I couldn't contain my anger anymore.
He turned around and I saw his puffy eyes. He looks dead tired. Probably they didn't sleep and that girl, fucking the daylights out of each other.
Fuck him. I felt that stinging jealousy within me. It hurt to realized the truth. He was a womanizer and he won't stick with me.
Why not? If there's more women, ready to pleasure him, why would he resist right?
"I'm sorry bambolina. Something came up. I can't leave yet, until it's all settled." He looks away. He can't meet my eyes.
"Liar!" I screamed in my head.
I got out of the bed and stood beside the side table. "How are you feeling?" He asked and I realized he was a few inches away from me.
"Don't come to close, liar!" I hissed and opened the top drawer.
I took the gun out and pointed it to him. His eyes bulged and I saw fear but promptly vanished. Did he know that this gun has no bullet?
"You better not lie to me, Santorini! Without a blink, I will shoot away your manhood and I mean it ..." I grit out. He didn't seem to look scared. He was only staring at me with amusement. "Where did you go?" I asked, still with the gun pointing at him.
"To the distillery, Bambolina. Where do you think I am?" he chuckled his response and it only annoyed me.
"I told you to not lie!" I snap sternly. "I know where .." I glared at him. His eyebrows furrowed in curiosity. He didn't even move or flinch. He still look amused.
"And where?" He crossed his hands on his buffed sexy chest and I gulped. His shirt that clung onto his taut chest made my head crumbled. I teared my eyes off his chest and stared at his amused eyes.
"To one of your women, where else?" I spit out vehemently. After hearing my words, he burst into a fit of laughters.
The gun I was holding moves pointing at him as he kept on laughing so hard.
"So Vito and Isaias was now my lovers, huh? Where did you get that idea?" He was trying to stifle his laughters.
My eyes turns into slits. He still has the audacity to lie in my face. "Hey loverboy .. I've been waiting for you. I know you're in town!"
I mimicked the sound of that annoying lady who left a message while relating it to him and his laughters just increases an octave. He totally looks amused.
I threw the gun on the bed and decided to walk out instead. I'm so pissed. So fucking pissed and jealous! And he just laugh at me.
"Hey bambolina. Where are you going?" He followed me, amusement still evident in his voice.
"To hell!" I grit out without looking back as I strode along the hallway.
