Natsu reached in his pocket, pulling out a red touch screen." It's Lucy. "he said, touch the answer option and holding it to his ear." Hey Luc-"
" Natsu... "Lucy's voice was shaky and she was clearly frightened by something.
" Lucy, what's wrong? "he asked, very concerned.
" Do you remember the walk we had back in high school, before we got to my old apartment and I spoke to you for the first time? "she asked, her voice still shivering.
" Of course-"he stopped himself, eyes widened. That night she found about the gang he had once been in and Hit had 'attacked' them. "" Erza, turn this car back around to Lucy's! "
" Back to Lucy's? "Gray questioned.
" Why, what's going on? "Erza asked.
" I can't explain right now, just get back to Lucy's! "Natsu yelled.
" Alright. "Erza swerved the car around, almost tipping it over.
Zeref grabbed his brother's shoulder.
" Natsu, what's going on? "he asked him.
" It's Hit. "Natsu hissed through his clenched teeth. He looked back at his phone, seemed as she had hung up on him, or... Was forced to. He clenched onto his phone tightly, hoping he would be there soon to protect her, to kiss her, tell her everything would be alright, to kick Hit's ass.
Erza pulled up at the side of the road, Lucy's house stood right there, the front door was already open. Natsu burst out of the car, running up to her door and barging in.
" Lucy!? "he called for his love's name.
" Nope. "Hit came from the shadows of the dark house, a gun in hand.
" What did you do to Lucy? "Natsu growled.
Hit turned his head to the couch. There was nothing. But he wasn't looking at the couch, he was looking behind it. He took a step back, lowering his gun.
Natsu slowly walked closer, he hesitantly looked away from Hit and down behind the couch. A lump got caught in his throat, seeing her lay there, on her side. Her blonde hair messy and made it impossible for him to see her face. She hugged herself, body shivering.
" Lucy! "he finally called, going down to her, flipping her onto her back. He bit his lip, her eyes were wide open, to afraid to blink. Waterfalls pouring down her cheeks. And more than her obviously scared, there was a redish brown almost purple bruise spreading on her neck.
" Natsu! "Gray called over, finally running in with Zeref and Erza.
" Hit. "Zeref growled.
" There you are~ "Hit, lifted his gun, pointing it at Zeref." I've been looking all over for you, and when I decided to go after Natsu to lure you out, you both suddenly disappeared. I already knew the blondie who lived here was dear to Natsu... So of I had gone for her, Natsu would come and his big brother not far behind. "
" So he's Hit, I heard about him from Natsu in high school. "Gray stated, Erza nodded also knowing about him.
" And two others came, Let's just hope they don't end up hurt. "Hit grinned.
Natsu finally turned, having enough of the guys cockiness. Natsu jumped on him, hitting the gun out of his reach and knocking him to the ground. Hit threw Natsu's to the side, standing up and punching the pinkette's cheek hard. Natsu punched his palm, pissed Hit was able to block his attack. He immediately retaliated and slammed his other fist in his stomach.
Erza bolted, jolting her knee in Hit's back as hard as she could which was inhumane power.
Hit turned quickly, taking her arm and twisting it to her back. In doing that, her hand clasped his wrist, her being able to pick him up and swing him from behind her to the ground in front.
If anyone could fight, it was her. She went to the gym daily, due to that's where she worked as a trainer and pushed people into shape. But she was also skilled in karate, already a black belt. Not surprising from the scarlet haired monster. Now if Mira was there, Hit would have a broom handle shoved so far up his ass,, he'd be a mopping the floor.
Erza dodged his fist and uppercut his jaw, making him fly back, Natsu ready as he lifted his leg and kicked his back, slamming him on the ground near Lucy.
Hit pushed himself up, but Lucy grabbed onto her leg, making him fall. He turned, going to push her off him. Bad choice.
She caught his fingers in her jaws, biting down hard. She already felt her jaws begin to become sore and a warm liquid tasting like pennies seeping in her mouth.
Hit flicked his hand, his strength making her light body fly across the room, slamming her back into the wall.
Gray ran to her as she pushed her under body up off the ground.
" Lucy, are you alright? "he asked, placing a hand on her back. She coughed, spitting out Hit's blood that had spilled in her mouth.
" I'll be-"
Before she could finish a gunshot was heard and Zeref staggered back.
" Zeref! "Natsu called to him. Erza bit her lip, seeing Hit had taken the gun when he was down. She stomped on his wrist then kicking his face in, knocking him cold.
Natsu ran to his brother kneeling to him.
" ah, that hurts... "Zeref groaned, sliding his back down the wall. He held his stomach where he had been shot.
" Get an ambulance, hurry! "Natsu yelled to Erza. She whipped out her phone calling 911.
Lucy reached her arm forward, pulling herself along the floor to get to Zeref.
" Zeref, how are you feeling? "she asked once she got next to him." An ambulance is on they're way. "
" Ya know, it hurts, but not as much as I had thought. "Zeref chuckled lightly." Maybe this is beter-"
" Shut up right there you idiot! "Natsu yelled." We're gonna get you help and you will live! But you dare say you won't! "
" Natsu I know my own body, I don't think it can hold out much longer. "he sighed.
" Zeref-"
" Lucy, I haven't gotten to know you... But from Natsu you seemed like an amazing girl. I'm really happy I had gotten to meet you. "Zeref smiled lightly.
" Stay with us Zeref. "Natsu started firmly. Zeref just sat there, done speaking, the sirens were heard in the distance coming closer. But he was already gone.
