Chapter 11: The Iconic Duo
Hey guys! It's Clipsey here with another chapter. This book is moving fast, well, in the sense that it feels like only a day ago when I was too scared to hit publish on the first chapter. Ahh, fun times.
I am going to be trying to update this book on time, but I am having a busy quad-mester (yes, where I live there is such a thing) so I may have to delay some. No confirms though, for all you know, I could update on time every single week UwU
Anyway, enjoy :)!
Adrien tried not to think about his psychiatrist session - he had no idea how he was supposed to face her a week later. As soon as the meltdown began, he ran out of the office back into the car, not looking back to see Zoey's face.
Maybe she looked sad - or worried. He sighed. He didn't wish Plagg a good morning as he always did; he was still angry. Plagg was also surprisingly silent, not wanting to face his owner. "Adrien, I'm sorry,"
Adrien didn't reply, even though it was killing him inside to keep quiet. "But, I don't regret telling her," he turned around, crossing his arms.
Adrien put his toothbrush into his mouth, hoping that would help him resist the urge to talk. "Adrien-" "Plagg, how am I supposed to trust you?" Adrien's tone was laced with desperation.
"You went behind my back, and now she," Adrien wiped his eyes with a towel. He sucked in a breath through his mouth. "I - just go get some cheese Plagg,"
Adrien clenched his fist so tight, he may have expected some blood to come out. His kwami, the one thing that was there for him, and he couldn't even trust him anymore. "Adrien, get ready for school," Natalie reminded him.
"Coming," Adrien groaned, flopping onto his bed. Adrien quickly got dressed and snuck an apple into his bag. "Score," Adrien whispered to Plagg, his smile fading when remembering he was supposed to be mad at him.

Adrien waved to Marinette and Alya, sitting next to Nino. "Okay, today we have a group project, and I have assigned the partners," Miss Bustier explained the assignment. "Hey dude," Nino interrupted the explanation.
"You should ask Marinette," "You heard Miss Bustier, she assigns them," Adrien sighed. "And besides-" "Adrien and Nino, I'm guessing you both already understand the assignment if you're chatting," Miss Bustier interrupted.
"Sorry!" Adrien spoke up as she nodded. He quickly crossed his arms, drifting to the edge of the seat, eager to know his partner. "Okay, so the partners are..." Miss Bustier grabbed a small list with names.
"Mylene and Lia, Nathaniel and Ivan, Marinette and Chloe, Adrien and Alya, Nino and Sabrina-" "Can we please choose our own partners?" Alya interrupted gently. "Yeah, we promise to behave," Nino stood up for his girlfriend.
"Yes please," Marinette said through gritted teeth, looking at Chloe. Adrien laughed - the two enemies put together wouldn't be great. "Please," Mylene dragged on the last syllable. "Yeah, I'm sure It'll be fine," Adrien added as the attention diverted to him.
"Okay, okay, but you all must behave," Miss Bustier smiled. "Yes!" Alya pumped her fist in the air, giving a glance at Nino. Of course, Nino nodded, already knowing what she meant. "You guys should pair up," Alya leaned on her hand, pointing at the two.
"Well, I, maybe-" "Sure, Marinette! Sounds fun," Adrien interrupted with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I mean, if you want," Adrien quickly reassured as Marinette nodded slowly. "Great, I can come over today if that's fine," Adrien pressed quickly texting Natalie.
"Yeah it's a date - I MEAN, not a date," Marinette said as Adrien chuckled. "Yup, It's a date," Adrien repeated with a large smile.

"MARINETTE!~" Manon's squealing entered Adrien's ears as Sabine answered the door. "Hello, Miss Dupain-Cheng, I was wondering if Marinette is around?" Adrien asked. "For our project," he added as he walked in.
"Adrien! Adrien," Marinette noticed him as Manon was tugging on her arm. "I-I'm sorry, I totally forgot I was babysitting tonight," She squealed, almost as high as Manon's voice. "No problem, I don't mind hanging out," he grabbed one of the dolls from the shelf.
"Aww, Adrien you don't have to, I'll be fine, I-" "No! No, it's fine Marinette," Adrien interrupted, stopping her from spitting out her rambling. "Okay, so I'm Chat Noir," Adrien felt a small presence of fear in his voice as he spoke this.
"Uh-huh! And I'm the super evil villain," Manon ran around the room with the doll. "A-And I'm Ladybug," Marinette wiped a sweat drop from chasing her around. "'Come on kitty, time to kick some akuma-butt!'" Marinette said as Adrien gasped.
"Wow, Marinette you really got the Ladybug-tone in your voice!" Adrien complimented as she giggled. "Aha, I wish," Marinette said, some concern laced into her tone. "I'm serious!" Marinette didn't know how to reply.
"T-Though, anyway, 'My Lady, always a purreleasure to fight by your side,'" Adrien said as Marinette giggled quietly. "'No time for puns, we got a victim to save!'" Marinette shouted as Adrien's phone buzzed.
He brushed it off. After a few more minutes of roleplay, he checked his phone, seeing why it was getting so many buzzes. "30 missed calls!" he quickly dialed his father. "F-Father, so sorry for not picking up," Adrien ran into the bathroom, closing the door.
"I-I'm doing the project right now," He said with uncertainty. "Okay, good, I want you home as soon as you finish," Gabriel said hurriedly. "Definitely. Good-" Gabriel hung up. "-Bye," Adrien sighed deeply.
"A-Adrien! Everything alright?" Marinette noticed his facial expression. "Yes, of course, let's get back into it," Adrien replied quickly. Marinette's brown furrowed, but she brushed it aside. If Adrien wanted her to know, he would tell her.

"Hey, Chat," Ladybug said as he perked up. "Hmm?" Chat replied. "I'm having a problem with a boy in my class, he seems a bit depressed," Ladybug said sadly. "Is it the boy you like?" Chat asked quickly after.
"That's none of your business," Ladybug bounced back with a smile. "But, any tips? I don't know how to help him that much," she bit her lip. Chat thought for a moment. "I mean, I'm not really good with that stuff, maybe recommend a psychiatrist? I know I good one," Chat thought of Zoey.
"I think he sees one already," Ladybug said as Chat's head tilted. "Wait, do you go to one?" Ladybug said quickly after. Chat froze. "Of course not, it's my friends," Chat lied. "He...he's sad and he likes her," What? Where did that come from Adrien? "And he got rejected by some girl," My God, stop talking.
"And he loves...food," Adrien, you dumb piece of crap. "Oh...okay?" Ladybug giggled a bit. "Anyway, see you Chat," Ladybug leaped away as he sighed. Great, Adrien, you just pushed her away more...
HEYO! So, yeah, not much action during this chapter. But, there is a small flashback in the next chapter about what happens before LB and CN meet up that night to talk about Adrien... I wonder what it is...
Why am I wondering, I literally know, because I planned it out-
Anyway, stay tuned ;)
