-The Next Morning-

Kayla's POV

Someone slams papers down on the desk an di jolt awake falling out of my chair and on the ground. "Oww seriously Izumo." I say to him and he chuckles along with Kotesu. "Its not funny." I pout my energy restored.

"Well thank Kami your back to being you." Izumo says to me.

"Hmfp." I puff my cheeks out and I look away.

"Ok sorry but you had to wake up we got word earlier that Tsunde and the others will be arriving tomorrow." Kotesu says and I sit back in my chair and he looks at me expectantly.

"Well good then she can handle all the stress of Hokage when she gets here." I say to him and they look at me expectantly. "Go help the villagers or something or go guard the gate do something I just woke up so don't go expecting orders right away." I say to them shooing them out.

Itachi appears out of nowhere.

"HOLY MOTHER OF CHEESECAKE." I yell as he smirks. I let out a breath and I look up at him. "You want something?" I ask him.

"Just wanted to know if you got any sleep." He says calmly.

"I did but then 2 CERTAIN CHUNIN CAME IN AND INTERRUPTED IT." I yell down the hallway and I see them running away and I huff.

"Good then you can handle more stuff today." He says pointing to all the papers on my desk. "Well get to work." he says and leaves.

I fall on the ground out of hunger and I get an idea and I run to Ichiraku's.

"hello Kayla how's being temporary Hokage." Teuchi says with a kind smile.

I groan and I bang my head on the table. "I haven't eaten in 2 days because I've been temporary Hokage." I say to him and he chuckles and places my usual next to me.

"Enjoy." Ayame says.

I hear someone running and I make a rasangan in the shape of a text book at they run into Ichirakus's and hit the book and fall down. "That is what you get Itachi." I say to him and he sits up rubbing his head.

"What did I do?" He asks me.

"You kept me awake for 2 days straight with paperwork and sending people into my office." I say to him and he sweat drops. "I didn't eat or sleep for 2 days Itachi so if your gonna tell me to get back to work them I'm going to throw you as far as possible with my chains." I say to him and he steps back.

"Actually I wanted to know if you knew when Tsunde and everyone else is coming back." He says.

"Sometime tomorrow." I say turning to my food and I eat it quickly and Teuchi places another next to me and I continue to eat and eat and eat until I'm full. "Thank you Teuchi and Ayame here." I place the amount I owe on the counter. "I should probably get to work before Itachi start breathing down my back about it." I say smiling.

"Ok see you tomorrow." Teuchi and Ayame say as I leave.

I jog around town and I find Kiba and I jog over. "Hey Kiba." I say waving.

"Hey Kayla what are you up to?" Kiba asks with his usual grin.

I grin back. "Trying to escape duties. I got no sleep the past two days because of them." 

"Seriously you love sleep you wouldn't let anyone get in the way of it." KIba says to me.

I chuckle nervously. "Yeah but I had to do them and I'm escaping today cause Lady Tsunde is coming back tomorrow to become Hokage so she gets the stressful work and I will finally be free." I pause. "Unless she sends me on missions. I'll kill her if she does." I say and Kiba chuckles.

"Your one of a kind Kayla." Kiba says to me and I grin. "And your grinning again." Kiba says to me.

"Huh what do you mean again?"

"You stopped grinning ever since your mom and dad died and to be honest I kind of missed your grin and I know the other rookie nine do to." Kiba says and I hug him. "What are you hugging me for?" 

"Your the only one who doesn't treat me as the temporary Hokage your treating me like how you always do and I'm happy about that." I say to him and his chest rumbles with laughter.

"Kayla your Kayla not Hokage Kayla, I could never see you as Hokage or temporary Hokage your still Kayla in my eyes." He says to me grinning.

I step back and I grin at him. "Thanks I don't see myself as Hokage either Dad just made me temporary Hokage incase he died and now I feel like myself because of you Kiba and I'm happy about that." I pause. "Wanna help me with paperwork?" I ask and he steps back afraid.

"No way to boring." Kiba says to me waving his hands in front of him.

I laugh. "Aww come on I don't want to deal with complaints all day and you have a louder voice than me." I say to him. "Please its boring without company and my clones well they don't help." I say to him.

"How about we hide and we don't do paperwork." Kiba says to me.

"Usually I would say we have to do it but today I want to do something fun." I say to him and we run around town doing stuff for the rest of the day with us falling asleep in his clan grounds.

-The Next Day-

"Kayla wake up we fell asleep outside." Kiba says and he shakes me.

I sit up and I yawn and I rub my eyes and I open them. "I have to go and greet Lady Tsunde keep kids from killing other kids and deal with Tsunde's commands." I say grumbling and he chuckles. "Well see ya Kiba." I say stand up and walking out of the Inuzuka compound and I'm greeted by 2 ANBU and a pissed looking Itachi. "Morning." I grin.

"Where were you yesterday you were supposed to be working." Itachi says glaring at me.

"Having fun cause working on paperwork is boring plus I looked through the papers and they were supposed to be filled out by head of ANBU not the Hokage." I say walking passed him and I get pulled back by the 2 ANBU.

"You were still supposed to do some work." Itachi says.

"Nope cause yesterday I had zero work cause I didn't hear my name once." I say to him and he grumbles. "Besides you cant push your work off onto me that isn't how it works Dad explained this to me and half of the work I did the 2 days before yesterday was yours I did it because you were on a mission and now you have to do your own work cause I know Tsunde wont put up with it and I wont any longer." I say to him while twirling a sebon in my fingers.

"Kayla." Itachi says to me.

"Meh I can deal with your scorning and everyone else's cause you know what. I. Don't. Care." I say and I walk away and to the gates leaving him speechless and I wait at the gates for a while and I eventually pass out in a chair that the guards use and I sleep for a while before I hear bickering and I groan. 

"KAYLA THERE YOU ARE." Naruto says and I stand up and he crushes me in a hug. "Where did you go?" he asks me.

"Oh remember when Dad put me as temporary Hokage if he died I forgot about that and then I came here and I did what I was supposed to for 2 days then yesterday I did zero work and I just had fun since I was annoyed and pissed as hell the 2 days before and by the way don't pay any mind to Itachi he's just upset I didn't do his work for him like he suspected I would." I say to him and he nods.

"Hello Kayla how was it being temporary Hokage." Tsunde asks with a smirk.

I groan and I bang my head on the gate walls. "I am never being Hokage I will leave that to you Naruto." I say to him.

"BELIEVE IT I WILL BE HOKAGE ONE DAY." Naruto yells 

"Ok Kayla you can be temporary Hokage forever." Lady Tsunde says and I fall down on the ground. "Kayla?"

"I DONT WANT TO BE HOKAGE." I yell and Naruto helps me back up.

"Ok what would you rather be?" Tsunde asks me.

"A teacher since Kids seem to like me and all." I say to her and she looks at me weirdly.

"Kayla you always said you wanted to become ANBU when we were older." Naruto says.

I tap my chin. "I did but that was because of Mom I wanted to be as strong as her one day and be exactly like her but I should follow my own path instead of walking in her footsteps and doing everything she did I should find what I want to do." I say and Tsunde and Shizune smile at me while Jiraiya grumbles and Naruto hugs me again. "I should follow my own thread of destiny not someone else's." I say after Naruto lets go.

"Are you sure your 13?" Jiraiya asks me.

"Yes I'm sure now Tsunde good luck with the mob in your office and Itachi also don't put up with any crap he hands you in paper form he tried pushing his work off on to me yesterday." I say to her with a smile.

"WHAT." Tsunde yells.

"Yeah now get to work." I push her towards to Hokage tower with my chains and she tries pushing against them and I pick her up with my chains an di set her in the Hokage's office and I close the window with my chains and I retract my chains.

"Hey Kayla why did you get picked to be temporary Hokage instead of Naruto." Jiraiya asks after Shizune and Naruto leave.

"Well Dad knew I had his genius skills and he also knew how calm I was about almost everything and he knew that I would be a good replacement until a new Hokage was picked." I say and we walk around town talking.

"KAYLA."

I groan. "Not again." I mutter and I walk to where I heard the yelling and my eye twitches.

Some people are bickering while some are full on fighting and some are fighting.

"SHUT UP." I yell and everyone freezes even Jiraiya and the air stands still. 

"But Lady Kayla." One says.

"I said Shut up your creating a scene and I am not Lady Kayla I am Kayla." I say to them.

"But your the Fourth's daughter so you are Lady Kayla." Another says.

"Ok you know what I give up call me whatever you want but stop fighting, complaining and bickering your pissing me off when you do that." I say to them and they break apart after I said that. "Now if you would please not involve me or the entire village next time you guys decide to fight instead involve Lady Tsunde." I say to them and they nod and they run off.

"Wow you handled that well." Jiraiya says sarcastically.

"I hate people." I mutter and Jiraiya chuckles nervously and I roll my eyes. "You owe Naruto Ichiraku's so shoo." I shoo him away and I walk to a hill and I lay down as the sun shines on me and I doze off.

A few hours later

Someone shakes me and I wake up. "Your awake." He says.

"No shit Sherlock." I mutter and I close my eyes again. "Shikamaru why are you here?"

"This is usually where I come to watch clouds." Shikamaru says to me.

I nod. "There is plenty of space you didn't have to wake me up." I say to him.

"Not really, Lady Kayla." he teases and I groan and I roll off the hill. "Kayla?"

"Idiocy." I mutter. "Boys are such a pain." I mutter.

"Girls are so troublesome." Shikamaru mutters.

We smirk and we doze off with him on top of the hill and me at the bottom.

-A few hours later-

"KAYLA."

I groan and I sit up and Shikamaru does the same.

"Idiocy." I mutter and I stand up and I walk to where my name was called and my slam peoples heads together. "I told you not to get me involved I said get Lady Tsunde involved." I say as they sit on the floor.

"Sorry we forgot." They all apologize.

I huff and I walk to a different hill and I lay down and I glare at the stars.

"What did the stars ever do to you." I hear someone say from the tree behind me.

"Hi Kakashi." I say to him as my glare turns to a stare.

"So what are doing here and not asleep at your house." Kakashi says sitting on the ground with his back against the trunk of the tree.

"I slept almost all day today I'm not exactly tired." I lie.

"Tell me the truth Lady Kayla." Kakashi says using the nickname the villagers gave me.

I grumble and I sit up and I turn around to look at him. "How did you deal when everyone you cared about died or betrayed you?" I ask him.

"How did you deal with it?" Kakashi asks.

"I just tried to act normal like nothing happened like I always do when someone tries something but I failed at that as soon as I saw my parents' body's then when I found out Kiki and Haru betrayed the leaf I was being suspected by a lot of people because I didn't show anything but hate when they were mentioned they thought I was gonna be sad and to tell the truth I was shocked I thought they were to dumb to join the snake but I was wrong turns out they were smarter than I thought. They always acted like they were weak and they acted like they didn't have a lot of chakra and then when I realized my team was dead and gone I cried all night just as hard as I did once I saw my parents dead body's I didn't want to believe it I wanted it to be a lie. I wanted to believe it was a horrible Gen Jutsu but in the end I knew it was reality then when I was put as temporary Hokage I was almost at my breaking point from all the stress and other stuff." I say looking at his closed eyed smile. "Why are you smiling?" I ask him.

"You just opened up, you never open up to anyone. Your always so secretive." He says.

"As if you can say anything Sir Mysterious Mask." I say to him with a grin.

"Do you feel better now that you opened up?" Kakashi asks.

"Sorta." I say and he looks at me seriously. 

"Kayla do you have a team to be on?

"Uh no remember my teams dead and gone." I say to him.

"Why don't you join ANBU?" He asks me.

"Nope not gonna happen."

"Why?" he asks me.

"I'm not following some arrogant Uchiha's orders." I say to him.

"Then have you thought about even joining a team?" He asks me.

"No." 

"Do you want to join a team?" 

"Maybe."

"What team would you like to join?"

"I don't know."

"Do you have a favorite team?" 

"The browns football team." 

"That isn't what I meant." 

"Then it would be my team since I had my Father as my Sensei but I don't have any other favorite teams." I say to him.

"Well you should join a team instead of being a loner like how I was." Kakashi says.

"What team?" I ask.

"How about mine?" Kakashi says.

"With the buckbutt haired Uchiha and the Pink haired fan girl of duckbutt plus my Brother. I have nothing against my brother but the other two. One is quiet and hardly talks and the only word in his vocabulary is 'hn' and the other is loud noisy and has temper tantrums that could kill someone someday if Lady Princess Tsunde teaches her." I say to him and he takes a mental note of everything I said.

"Come to training ground 7 at 7 am tomorrow." He says with a closed eyed smile and he disappears with a poof.

I groan and I jump up into the tree and I lay down and I fall asleep.
