-The Next Day-

Kayla's POV

I wake up and I sit up but Yuzuki pushes me down. "Yuzuki let me up."

"No Lady Kayla you still have poison in your system." Yuzuki says.

I notice that I'm just in my black t-shirt and shorts. "Yuzuki I have to find my antidote to the poison." I say trying to get up.

"Lady Kayla its best you wait. Kankuro is in the same boat as you." Yuzuki says to me.

I freeze and I look over to my sude and I see Kankuro sweating like crazy and moving around a bit. "Yuzuki the poison in my system isn't affecting me I have to help Kankuro because he clearly can't deal with poison like I can." I say trying to reason.

"No Lady Kayla you are being affected by it so lay down and get some rest." Yuzuki barks at me calmly.

"So I spent 3 years working on my antidotes for nothing hurray now I'm useless." I mutter and I stay down and I lay on my side.

"You aren't useless but if you move to much the poison will spread." Yuzuki says to me.

"Then let me get my antidotes."

"No Lady Kayla just get some rest." Yuzuki says to me.

I grumble. "Fine." I mutter and I fall asleep.

~In My Dream~

"I'm here again?" I ask myself.

"Squirt you just had to go get yourself poisoned didn't you."

I huff. "Its just a little I don't see the problem its not affecting me." I mutter.

"Uh huh say that to your body that's sweating like crazy in the waking world."

"Dann Sasori of the Red Sand." I mutter.

"Kayla what trouble did you get yourself into now."

"All I was doing was my mission and that was to protect the Kazekage of the Sand Village and I failed because of a stupid puppeteer who left his village 20 years ago and his poison is now so much stronger just as strong as mine maybe stronger." I say with a sarcastic attitude. "Some Jonin I am at least he didn't hurt Yuzuki or Kiba or Akamaru."

"Kayla you did right by telling Kiba to go get help because what is happening now is the thing we were talking about 2 1/2 years ago."

"Kiki how am I supposed to help when I'm in the same condition as Kankuro."

"Not you. Naruto and Sakura." Kiki says to me.

"Yep I'm useless I went on a mission got myself poisoned and now I'm pretty sure this is a deathly poison so yeah."

"You aren't useless you can still help them." Haru says to me.

"That's the other thing I have no clue how they are already strong I felt it when I saw them after the 2 and a half years and I'm pretty sure Temari, Lady Tsunde, Shizune, and Shikamaru and Kakashi felt it to." I say to them.

"Yeah I have no clue how to reason with that this time. But there is always a way to help. Just remember that." Kiki says to me.

I mutter incoherent words about puppets and puppeteers.

Haru and Kiki chuckle. "Its not that bad."

"Kiki Haru I lost a fight to an Akatsuki member and he cause damage to the Sand Village I am pretty sure I failed my mission and I'm gonna hear it from Lady Tsunde." I say to them.

They sweat drop. "Good luck with that now you need to wake up you have been asleep for 3 days Sakura at this point already took the poison out of you." Kiki says.

"Fine see ya guys again sometime." I say to them.

~The Waking World~

I wake up and I sit up. "I feel useless." I mutter.

"Oh Kayla your already awake you shouldn't move around to much though." Sakura says to me.

I grumble. "If I stand up I'm gonna fall I already know that I just need my pouch with all my scrolls in it."

Sakura brings it over to me. "Here you go."

"Thanks Sakura." I say and I look through the pouch and I pull out a scroll and I unseal Dad's jacket and I put it on.

"Kayla are you ok?"

"Kankuro get some rest you had it much worse than me since I usually have a strong amunity to poison." I say to him.

"I take it that your fine good you just blacked out, out of no where when you got in the village." Kankuro says to me.

"I need to get up." I mutter and I try getting up but I fall back down. "Well shit I should have expected that."

"Kayla I told you not to get up." Sakura says to me.

"And I have to get up I don't like feeling useless." I say to her and I stand up successfully.

"She looks just like her." Some women mutters.

"I heard that Lady Chiyo." I say and I walk over to my Jonin Vest and my ninja gear and I put it on.

"Do you know who I was talking about?" She asks me.

"I most likely don't care also I failed my mission I am not needed here so I should head home then get scolded by Lady Tsunde for failing and getting poisoned on top of that and I have to make sure Kiba made it back ok." I put my ninja sandals on and I put my ninja gear on. "I am probably gonna be out of commission for a while." I take an antidote pill.

"What was that Kayla?" Sakura asks me.

"Its an antitode pill that usually takes care of some strong poisons want one Kankuro?" I ask.

"No I'm fine." Kankuro says to me.

I nod and I put my scrolls that I took out away and I tie my hair into a pony tail and I put my ninja headband on. "Alright I have to go Sakura just remember what Lady Princess taught you and you should be fine. Come on Yuzuki." I say and we head out and I get stopped by Kakashi.

"Where do you think your going your poisoned remember." Kakashi says to me.

"Not anymore I have my antidote pills and Sakura took out most of the poison so I'm good I have to head back to the Leaf Village because I failed my mission and you guys haven't yet." I say and I slip past him.

"Kayla do you know who fought and poisoned you?" Kakashi asks.

"Sasori of the Red Sand." I reply to him and he stays quiet and me and Yuzuki walk out of the hospital and we run to the gates and I see Baki here."

"Lady Kayla what are you doing here?" Baki asks me.

"I have to get back to the Leaf to see if Kiba made it back alright." I say and he nods and me and Yuzuki run out of the village and we start running back to the Leaf.

-3 Days Later-

I arrive at the gates with Yuzuki next to me.

"Lady Kayla your back." Izumo and Kotesu say to me.

"Izumo, Kotesu." I say and I walk in and I run to Lady Tsunde's office and I jump in through the window and ibsee her talking to Kiba and Shizune. "Thank Kami you made it back Kiba."

"Kayla what are you doing here I thought you were at the Sand still."

"Uh long story short I failed in protecting the Kazekage and I managed to get poisoned and nearly died so I basically failed my mission." I say as I jump in.

"Kayla I thought you had a better tolerance to poison." Lady Tsunde says and scolds me.

I laugh nervously. "I already saw the scolding coming." I say sweat dropping.

"You must feel useless at the moment." Kiba says to me.

"I hardly ever fail of of course I feel useless right now." I say to him.

"You both are dismissed." Lady Tsunde says to us.

"Hai." We leave and we walk to a hill and we sit down.

"This is why I didn't want to go on that mission because I already knew the outcome of that happened." I mutter.

"Everyone fails a mission at some point Kayla and we failed ours." Kiba says to me.

"Yeah your right but still."

"Kayla calm down its not that bad." Kiba says to me.

I nod and I out my head on his shoulder. I fall asleep a few minutes later.

Kiba's POV

Kayla's breathing slowed down and I could tell she was asleep.

I chuckle and I lay down with her head on my chest.

"No the Pink Fluffy Chickens got out." Kayla mumbles in her sleep.

I chuckle.

Kayla's POV

I wake up a few hours later and I feel someone under me.

"So your finally awake." The person under me chuckles.

"What time is it?" I mumble.

"Midnight Kayla." Kiba says to me.

"Oh in that case I'm going back to sleep." I mumble and Kiba chuckles.

"Don't you want to head to your home and go bed there?" Kiba asks.

"No I'm perfectly fine right here." I mumble and Kiba chuckles and kisses my forehead and I fall asleep with my head on his chest.
