Chapter 4: The Past Has Come Back For Me
Allison
I waited, caught in my own daydream for him to finish when he was inside of me. Thinking of a better tomorrow, all the while I heard Drake let out one last groan before all his weight had fallen onto me. After a few minutes, he stood up, helped me off his desk, and cleaned me up. When I turned to look at the man who has haunted my life since I was a young girl, he tried once more to kiss me.
When I turned my head away, he wasn't too happy. It's the one thing I will fight him on with everything I have. No kissing! That is saved for the man I will someday fall in love with. If that is possible for me. "I'll be gone for the next month." His words brought pure joy to my heart. I kept a neutral expression on my face, so he wouldn't see and slap me across my face.
I know better than to push him too far. He told me to behave and that he will miss me. Explaining that is why he felt he had to have me then and there. Luckily, one of his men came to the door, telling him he was needed in the basement. Knowing full well what that means, I scurried out of the room as fast as I could without a backward glance.
It's been three days since that night, and I am happy to say that he left late last night. I overheard his father saying he won't be back for six whole weeks. Now that I know it's true, and that they are forcing him to stay away even longer, I can perhaps forge a plan to get me and Lilith the hell out of here.
The only problem is Drake has eyes and ears everywhere. It's going to be difficult to slip away unnoticed. I'm trying to form a plan in my head, when I walk out around three in the morning from the club, only to get startled by a man you can clearly tell uses steroids says my name. My head pops up, as I look wide-eyed in his direction.
He's now standing there with both hands held up. "Sorry about that. Drake told me to make sure you get home safely." My hand is to my chest, as I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths. Trying my hardest to calm down. When I open them back up, I plaster on the fake smile I have perfected over the years. "Of course." Walking to the car, I allow him to hold the door open for me.
I tune everything out once in the car. Leaning my head back I look up at the night sky out of the rear window. Silently praying to anyone that may be up there to help me out of this Hell. Begging with all I have for someone to come and save me. Although, I'm almost certain my words fall on deaf ears.
No one has helped me thus far, it's a simple dream of mine. One that will more than likely never come true. Drake will return home from wherever he was sent, his grandfather will pass on. Meaning his father will become in charge of the family. That evil bastard will allow Drake to marry me, and I will be forced to have his children and live under his thumb.
I could always take the easy way out, just like my mother had, but I can't ever imagine doing that. One, it's the coward's way I feel. Two, I have my little sister to look out for. I'll be damned if I leave her alone in this world, like my mother did me. Three, and final reason, I don't want to just give up. I want to fight for the life I know I deserve deep in my heart.
I was so stuck in my own head; I hadn't realized we were at the front iron gate. I watch as Mr. Steroid rolls down his window to talk to the guard on duty tonight. He's saying something so low I can't hear him at all, but for some reason he isn't opening the gate. When he steps away and the window is rolled up, I'm confused when he backs the car up, and we begin heading down into the city.
The farther we get away from the mansion, I get a devastating feeling in my stomach. "Where the hell are you taking me?" Normally, I try to keep my cool, and be completely aloof around these men, but right now he's driving me away from where Lilith is. I don't like it in the least. I check he doors, and sure enough they are locked, the only way I'm getting out of this car is if he lets me out.
I eye the passenger seat; I remember daddy telling me once that the tops come out and you can use the metal throngs to break the windows. If he makes one wrong move, I'll use that one as a weapon against him, and get the hell out of the car while he's down. I wait a moment, watching the lights along the road pass us by.
We continue on for a bout twenty minutes, until we make it to a twenty-four-hour diner I have never been to before. My brows fold in confusion. "What are we doing here?" Still the giant has nothing to say. He simply unbuckles, opens his door, and I watch like a hawk as he makes his way around the car.
My eyes go back and forth between him, and the seat in front of me. I see how you loosen it up and lift it, so I know I have something if need be. When he opens the door, he stands there and waits for me to exit the car. Having nowhere else to go, and the truth of the matter is I'd much rather be out there then stuck in this small car, I take a step out. At least out here I can run and have a chance of escaping him.
"Your uncle and Lilith are inside waiting for you." He tells me as he closes the door and walks back to the driver's side without a backward glance. As he drives away, I turn to look toward the diner windows. I can't see them at all, but they could be on the other side of the place. I have no idea what my uncle is doing here, all I can see is his car parked out here. Three motorcycles are close by.
Shaking my head, I decide to get this over with so then I can get us back home. I still have Lilith's bedtime routine to do with her before I can lay my head down along my pillow and allow sleep to take me. Walking up the steps, I pull open the door, and listen intently as the little bell rings.
Looking around, it takes me all of two seconds to see Lilith. A full-blown smile grows along my lips as I see her sitting at a booth, eating a big bowl of what looks to be ice cream. What I'm confused about is the man sitting across from her. I've never seen him before. The fear coursing through my veins has me practically running to get to her.
When she sees me, she leaves the booth and runs directly to me. I open my arms to her and wrap them tightly around her body as she makes her way to me. I breath in her scent, allowing it to soothe me. "Sissy, I missed you!" She exclaims as I burry my head in her neck and hair.
When I stand up, with her in my arms, I look behind us. The men sitting with my uncle are not like the men back home. They have spiked or long hair, tattoos fill almost every part of their skin, and they have on leather jackets. Looking closer my mouth falls open when I see the cobra snake on the back. It can't be. Could it? "There is the woman of the hour." My uncle purrs out loud. Letting me know he's got something cooking to benefit him.
The man sitting across from him is big. He's not too big, but you can tell he works out. He has black hair, but that's all I can see, as he is facing away from me. He stands up from the booth and when he turns around my eyes bulge out of my head. Although it's been years, and we haven't seen one another since we were kids, I would recognize those baby blues anywhere. "Grayson..."
