Confession
The lovely Sweet_Lovexx edited this. Thank you babe xo
You know when you realise that you're about die and your life flashes before your eyes. Your loved ones, the good times and regrets.
My biggest regret in my life was not telling Xavier how I had fallen in love with him. The man who had to put on a cold-hearted mask on to fix his father's mistakes, the man who'd do anything to protect his loved ones, the man who saved me from dragons' den.
"XAVIER." I screeched out his name one last time with all the emotions and power I had left within, hoping he'd hear me and know that he didn't have to just protect me until I met the right person, he was the right person.
My soul mate.
My attacker's dark silhouette appeared in front of me, he approached me with two hands by his side like a predator hunting for its prey. Tears kept streaming down my face as I frantically looked around for something to throw at him.
Anything that'll distract and I'd be able to make it to the door, which was on the other end of the room now. He lunged towards me with full power. I hid my face with my arm as an ear-piercing scream escaped my lips again.
Suddenly the door burst open breaking the hinges from its place as Xavier's silhouette appears with his men behind him. Relief washed over me as he lunged towards the man in the mask knocking him off his feet.
Both of their bodies crashes on to the ground with Xavier on top, creating a loud thump. They rolled around in the shattered pieces of glasses from the lamp. Suddenly, I felt an arm grasp me as I tried to bury myself into the comforting embrace of Leo.
My brain couldn't comprehend the words he was saying, the only thing I could concentrate on how cold and murderous Xavier looked when he kept punching the man's face repeatedly.
"WHO SENT YOU?" He grabbed him by his collar with both hands and brought his face closer to his own, lifting his upper body of the ground. Xavier had one of his knee buried deep in his stomach.
"Fu..ck... yo.." The man spat out enraging Xavier gauging he smashed his head on the ground making me cringe. Abruptly he stood up, bringing the man up along with him, pulled his gun out and shoved it in his mouth.
A loud whimper escaped my lips at the view of his sadistic nature. I couldn't believe he'd kill someone right in front of me. The contours on Xavier's face changed into something malicious and dangerous when he spoke out through gritted teeth.
"You go tell your boss or anyone else you want, Tell them if... ANYONE," He pushed him against the wall harder. "ANYONE, tries to come ANYWHERE near HER." He pointed towards me with his free hand. "I'd happily kill them." He vowed before pulling away and whacking the back of his gun against the man's head making him spin around and fall on the bed limply.
"I want another room and get a couple of housekeepers to get Anna's stuff in there." He waved his gun around towards his men who stood there still, not at all affected by what just happened. One, on the far end nodded and walked out of the room quickly following his instructions. "I need to know how this happen-"
"XAVIER." I screamed in horror when the limp body of the man moved ever so slowly and pulled his gun out pointing it at Xavier's back.
My heart stopped at the thought of him dying and my body shot up trying to push him out of the way but to my disappointment, Leo held me back as Xavier's body fell on the floor.
His men simultaneously fired their guns, bullets split the air eliminating the target. Blood splattered all over the headboard of the bed and the wall while a pool of red liquid seeped through the white bed sheet.
Instantly Xavier was up in his feet walking towards me sweeping me off my feet in bridal position and carried me out of the room. My arms instantly circled around his neck, I buried my face in the crook of his neck breathing in his scent.
My heart ached at the thought of him dying and I knew I was irrevocably in love with his man who continuously saved my life.
After entering another similar but smaller room down the hall, he set me down on the edge of the bed and walked straight into the bathroom to bring out the first aid box.
He avoided my gaze the whole time he kissed and aide to my cuts and bruises. Not being able to carry on in silence I grabbed him by his collar and brought his face so close to mine, his warm breath kept fanning over my lips sending bolts of electricity around my body.
"You could have died." I told him looking straight into his beautiful blue orbs. Usually it would take me a ladder to reach his eyes but due to the fact he was kneeling on his knees and I was sitting on the edge of the bed, made it possible for me match his height.
"YOU could have..." He released himself from my grasp and stood up abruptly with his back towards me.
"But you saved me... again." I told him standing up pressing my palms on his tensed back.
"What if I was late?" He turned around with glassy eyes. "DAMN IT, I shouldn't have left you on your own." He kicked the table peg next to us and ran a frustrated hand through his perfectly combed hair. I also noticed his glasses were missing.
"But I didn't." I told him placing my palm over his accelerated heart. He shivered under my touch and took a deep breath trying to calm himself down.
"Thank you." He told me while placing his hands on my hips.
"Why?" I asked, slightly confused.
"You put up a fight, giving me the chance come and get you." Grabbing my waist, he brought my body closer to his. "Thank you for not leaving me." He whispered out putting his forehead on to mine.
"Xavier, thank YOU for saving me twice and I'd never leave you." I told him running my hands up and down his biceps in a comforting manner.
"But you will when you find the right person." He moved back slightly leaving me empty and cold. There was a distinct painful expression slapped across his face that I wanted to take away and I knew it was time for me to confess everything to him.
"What if I told you I found one already?" I asked him watching his expression change from shock horror to disappointment. My heart broke every time I watched his face and studied is distinguish moves.
Like when he'd put a hand on his hip and run the other one through his hair when he was frustrated or when he's rub his face with both of his hands when he didn't know what to do. How his eyes would change their colour due to the brightness of the light or his feelings.
Walking closer to him, I placed both of my hands on his chest and began my monologue.
"Xavier, I've lost everyone the day I was kidnapped and I was the only lucky person who was saved by you. I've lost everyone and everything already, I can't lose the person I've grown to love, I can't lose my guardian angel, and I can't lose my fallen star."
"You mean...?" He gulped loudly bringing his hands to rest on my hips again. His eyes lit up igniting fire all around the room.
"Just kiss me." I demanded impatiently.
"Yes ma'am." He smiled before smashing lips.
The feel of his lips against mine set my soul free. Each stroke filled with ecstasy and need. He kissed me like his life depended on it. He kissed me long and numb. My mind became a whirlpool of incoherent words when his hands brought me closer and closer to his tensed frame.
My legs liquidised when his tongue brushed along my bottom lips asking for entrance which I gladly provided him with. Our tongues danced in sync as we both moaned into each other mouths.
When the kiss broke apart, I realised that somehow I ended up underneath him on the bed while he kissed down the side of my neck and buried his head there. He remained still for a while confusing me with his actions.
"Xavier..." I breathed out not knowing what to do due to the fact I wasn't experienced in this area.
He sighed raising his head to look me in the eye with immense intensity. "Princess, I want to, but I don't want you to feel like you owe me anything." He said with honesty dripping from his voice.
"But it's not like that at all, Xavier everything happens for a reason and the fact that you were there meant everything happened at the right time." I told him trying to make him understand. I took his face in my hands and brought him closer to me.
"I love you."
I told him looking him dead in his eyes.
"Then marry me." Startled I looked at him like he was a mad man while trying to ignore the fireworks that were erupting in my stomach.
"I'm only 19 Xavier." I reminded him with a smile lingering on my lips.
"Yeah. That's legal and you'll be turning 20 in 2 weeks and I turned 26, 3 months ago." I was somewhat taken aback by the fact he remembered my birthday.
"You want me to marry you?" I asked him trying to keep a straight face but I knew I failed miserably due to the smile dancing on his lips.
"Yup. Marry me because you love me, not because you feel the need to." He brushed a couple of strands of hair away from my face.
"Fine." I chuckled at his pouted face making him light up. He bolted off the bed to get his suit that was brought into our rooms. "What are you doing?" Sitting up, I asked in confusion.
After rummaging through his clothes, he picked out a navy velvet box making my heart skip a beat at the sight of it. With a smile on his he walked towards me and settled himself down in front of me.
"This was my mom's, she told me to give it to the girl that I'll not be able to live without." He opened the box, taking the ring out. "Marry me AnnaLynne, I might not be able to give you your old life back but I'll do everything in my power to give you the life you've always dreamed of." He took my left hand and set it on the tip of my ring finger.
Tears poured out of my eyes at the site of the beautiful huge shiny diamond, set in the middle of the platinum band, with a couple of smaller diamonds ascending from it. It reflected the dimmed light around the room.
"It's beautiful." I told him and he slid it on all the way back.
"Funny how it fits you perfectly." He chuckled kissing my knuckles. "Now, where were we?" He said jumping on the bed carefully settling himself between my thighs.
Our laughter died down when all our clothes ended up on the floor leaving my naked body flushed against his.
"You sure about this princess?" He asked as he kissed down my body swirling his tongue around my navel.
"Yeah..." I breathed out as my voice became laced with pure lust.
"Tell me that you are mine." He begged looking into my eyes, asking for permission consummate our engagement.
"I'm yours Xavier."

After the intense love making session we remained tangled in each other's embrace. There was beautiful full moon hanging alone in the dark foreign sky shining so bright.
"What are you thinking princess?" He asked kissing my bare shoulder pulling me closer to him even if that was possible.
"The moon's beautiful tonight."
"Not more than you." I could feel his smile against my neck. With a smile on my face I turned around in his arm to kiss him thoroughly.
"God, you're so beautiful." He said kissing my forehead.
"Xavier?"
"Yes princess?"
"Why were you there that day?" I asked not knowing what to think.
He sighed while playing with my hair. "You know it hasn't been long since my father passed, right?"
I nodded yes in response.
"Well it was one of the sectors he handled. As my first time; I had to be there, I didn't want to go there in the first place because I knew better than but, I just did for some reason and now knowing I met you there... I'd do it again if I had to." My heart broke at his honesty.
"Thank you for saving me." I told him again making him smile.
"Well every King needs a Queen. I'm just happy I found mine before I gave up." He stated making me chuckle.
"Can I ask you something?" I asked getting back to my trail of thoughts.
"Of course." He nodded sliding his fingers down my arm to capturing my ring finger and started with the ring. Something within him lightened up when he remembered I was wearing the ring he gave me making me feel even guiltier for asking him this.
"Were you... involved with... you know" He moved back slightly to look me in the eye in confusion before realising what I was asking.
"No..." He moved his other hand underneath my neck so I was resting my head on his bicep instead of the pillow. "When I found out that my father cheated on my mother, I stopped even looking at other girls let alone be with them. I mean, I saw my mother live in pain and I didn't want any women to suffer from that. So, I made myself a promise, until I find the one worth dying for... I won't touch another female."
Couple of tears escaped my eyes at his sincerity. "I'm sorry." I told him feeling two inch tall.
"Hey... it's not your fault." He wiped the tears away pulling me closer to his body. "I'm just glad you decided to give me a chance."
I smiled against his skin.
Just when I was about to peacefully fall asleep in his arms a loud bang on the door broke us apart from our protective little bubble. Leo's concerned voice came through from the other side of the door.
"Capone sent his men after you Xavier. You and Anna need to get out of here."
