Decided to skip the boss of the Myrlwood dungeon boss to get the Star of the Rogue as it is fairly short. Depending on how long it takes, roughly twenty minutes or less if your higher than the recommended level which is at least in the mid-thirties. So, Noctis has basically already acquired the Star of the Rogue. Onto the chapter.

After defeating the beast that lied within the Myrlwood, Noctis had recovered the sixth royal arm, the Star of the Rogue.

Seven royal arms were remaining.

The four of them start to move back to Aranea, who was going to take them back to Lestallum with their car.

They arrive at the ruined gate, where the imperial commodore was waiting for them.

Aranea: You're heading to Lestallum, right? I'll take you there, but no further.

Noctis: Got it.

Aranea: So, ready to ship out?

Noctis: You bet. Let's fly.

Aranea: Hold on tight boys.

Prompto: (gasp) Look at that!

Ignis: A red ship.

Y/N: Huh, red is always was my color.

Aranea's ship descends, the five of them getting on board as it starts to rise back up. It starts to move, heading into the direction of Lestallum.

They weren't going to be there for awhile so the group decided to get some sleep. Resting up against the hanger walls, they turned in for the night, the only thing heard was the humming of the ship's engine.

A few hours then passed and they wake up. Y/N checks the time on his phone to see it was around one or two in the morning. They had left the Vesperpool around 9 PM last night so he wasn't surprised that they slept that long. Yawning, he looks to see Aranea walking towards them.

Aranea: Rise and shine, Prince Charming. We're here.

The hanger doors open and they were faced with Lestallum's power plant.

Aranea: Sounds like a spot of trouble's popped up at the power plant. Mmm, wish I could help, but I'm powerless to do anything I'm not ordered to. I'll leave the keeping of peace to you.

Ignis: Of course.

Y/N: Right.

Prompto: We got this.~

Aranea: Good luck, boys. (looks to Y/N) See you later, handsome.~ Give me a call some time.

Y/N: (scratches back of head awkwardly) R-Right.

After dropping them off at the parking lot, Ignis parking the Regalia and the four of them heading up to the power plant. Several hours pass by and a woman with a power plant suit was seen outside the gate with Prompto, Y/N, and Ignis. Noctis was on the other side of the gate, putting on a heat suit for the power plant as he was about to venture in.

Prompto: (whistles) Lovin' that outfit, Noct!

Noctis: Why don't you wear one?

Y/N: Because he doesn't want to look stupid. Same here.

Ignis: And it was the only one. And if anyone stands a fighting chance in there, it's you. Forget about fashion and go.

Noctis turns around and heads for the power plant, leaving the rest of them to sit there and wait.

Y/N: Well, got nothing better to do right now. Prompto, wanna play some King's Knight?

Prompto: Sure. Also, you gonna call Aranea?~

Y/N: Huh? I don't even have her number. Look, I'll--

About to go to his contacts, he receives a message. Confused, he clicks on it and sees the number and saw that it was unidentifiable.

Looking at the message, it read: "Hey there handsome.~ I was able to sneak my number onto your phone. We should play again some time.~ Your favorite, commodore."

Y/N only stared at his phone with disbelief, Ignis and Prompto looking over his shoulder. Ignis gains a smug look, opening his mouth to say something.

Y/N: Don't.

Prompto: How--you...I don't even know how you do it.

Y/N: Yeah, well, I got no tips.

A few hours pass by and Y/N and Prompto spent their time playing King's Knight and Ignis talking to the woman who worked at the power plant, Holly, Cindy's friend. Foot steps could be heard and they looked toward it. The sun was now rising and they now got a good look at Noctis and the other figure with him.

Holly: Great work in there! As promised, here's the mythril. And thank you for your hard work.

Handing the mythril to Noctis, he smiles happily before he turned to the Hunter that was with him, who actually turned out to be Gladiolus.

Gladiolus: Sure.

Prompto: Hey, big guy!

Ignis: So the "Hunter" that went on ahead---

Y/N: Was you.

Gladiolus: The one and only. How ya been, fellas?

Prompto: Not bad. Y/N somehow got Aranea's number.

Gladiolus: (looks to Y/N) Oh really?

Y/N: Don't ask.

Prompto: Whoa...someone did a number on you, though.

Looking to where Prompto was pointing out, they noticed that there was a scar along Gladiolus's forehead.

Y/N: Got your reward from him too, huh?

Gladiolus: Yeah. You should see the other guy. Anyway, I'm back and better than ever.

They were soon met with Iris and another man with them. This was Dustin, the other retainer and partner of Monica that serves under House Amicitia.

Iris: Noct? Gladdy!? I can't believe it!

Gladiolus: Hey, thanks for looking after her, Dustin.

Dustin nods with a smile on his face.

Iris: So, Gladdy, did you apologize to Noct for storming off like that?

Noctis: He made it up to me in there.

Iris: The power plant? Oh, so you got your hands on some mythril! In that case, I'll go deliver it to Cid. You'll probably want to freshen up first anyway. Come and meet me in Caem when you're ready!

Iris and Dustin then leave, the two of them heading back to Caem as the Prince and his entourage stay in Lestallum, eating at a nearby restaurant. After finishing their meals, they walk back to the Regalia.

Prompto: You reckon Aranea has a boyfriend?

Noctis: She is surrounded by guys, but who knows. Why, you fancy her?

Prompto: Nooo. My interest is purely hypothetical.

Noctis: Eh. Besides, she's got her eyes set on a certain someone.

Y/N: You guys aren't going to let that one go.

Noctis: Nope!

Gladiolus: Anything happen while I was gone? Aside from Y/N's ordeal.

Y/N: I so hate you guys.

Noctis: Yeah. The car got roomier.

Gladiolus: Smart-ass.

Before heading out, the others waited by the car while Noctis had went to talk to Iris, who actually waited by the overlook before heading back to Caem.

A cheerful Iris was standing in front a confused Noctis, holding something behind her.

Iris: So, remember how I picked something up at the market the other day?

Noctis: Ah...I think so?

Iris: (pulls out stuffed toy) Well...this is for you.

Noctis: What. Is it?

Iris: You put your life on the line everyday, so I wanted you to have a little insurance--a lucky charm. It's called a "moogle." This one's gonna look out for all you guys! Keep him by your side and he'll take care of you. And if he gets roughed up, I'll take care of him--I'll be in Caem! Later!

Handing the moogle to Noctis, Iris cheerfully leaves. Noctis stares at the moogle before walking back to the car.

Y/N: What the hell is that thing?

Noctis: Iris said it's a moogle. Said he's going to be looking for us.

Y/N: (unsure) Rriiiggghhhtt.

Prompto: So, what's on the agenda today?

Y/N: We can look for more royal arms, I suppose. Once we head to Caem, there's no going back. Plus, there's still some out there.

Ignis: But, it all comes down to Noct. So, what's it going to be?

Noctis: We're going tomb hunting, I guess.

Getting into the car, Ignis drives it down near Costlemark Tower. Now the afternoon, they get out and head for the tomb.

Heading down to the Fallgrove, they encounter the Tomb of the Tall. The odd thing was, they noticed that the gates had been broken down. Running inside, they notice that the royal arm that lied there was missing, the only thing there was a message left by the Hunters. It read,

Tomb Robbery
Greatsword remains unaccounted for,
likely taken to Costlemark by daemons.
Investigation continues.

With a clue of where to go, they head straight for Costlemark. Upon walking, they could hear humming.

Ignis: (humming chocobo theme) ...You alright, Prompto?

Prompto: (disbelief) Were you...humming?

Ignis: Hmm. I suppose I was.

Prompto: Who are you, and what did you do with Iggy!?

Ignis: My lips are sealed.

Upon coming up to the ruins of Costlemark, the only thing that seemed to remain intact was the tower itself. The walls around it and the arches that surrounded the massive building were wrecked and destroyed.

Prompto: (stares at tower) Huh. Weird building, eh guys?

Ignis: It's like no architecture I've ever seen.

Y/N: Yeah. The design looks familiar as well.

Gladiolus: Wouldn't want to meet the weirdo who built this.

Walking up the steps, they go inside the main tower, walking over the bridge. They stop in the middle of it and peer down over the edge.

Prompto: It keeps going down, down, down...

Y/N: So basically, endless.

Prompto: Check it out, guys--glow in the dark!

Looking forward, they could see on some of the walls there were something embedded in them, causing it to glow red.

They soon come across an empty area. Looking around, there didn't seem to be any entrance into the lower area of the tower. It wasn't until Y/N looked down and saw markings of the same design from when they went to the Vesperpool.

Y/N: Hey, Iggy! Come check this out!

Ignis: (walks up to Y/N) Is something the matter?

Y/N: Doesn't this design seem awfully familiar to you?

Ignis: Hmm...now that you look at it, it does show a resemblance to when we went to Steyliff Grove.

Soon, the other three walk up to the two.

Gladiolus: What's up, guys?

Noctis: Find something?

Ignis: The design of the structure and everything around us is similar to the structure of Steyliff Grove.

Prompto: Yeah, look!

Noctis: Think it's made by the same person?

Y/N: Probably. Let's come back at nightfall and check if an entrance opens up.

Heading to the nearby campsite that was a bit away from the tower, the group walked there to wait till nightfall.

By the time they got at the campsite, it was dusk. Gladiolus pitched up the tent, Y/N and Ignis cooking dinner, and Prompto and Noctis setting up a makeshift table as well as the cutlery and plates. As celebration for Gladiolus coming back, Ignis and Y/N cooked one of his favorites, Prime Garula Rib.

After eating their supper, night soon falls and the five of them head back to the tower. Upon going up the stairs, they hear rumbling. Going to the noise, they see the floor go down, forming stairs for them to walk down.

Prompto: Hah! Knew there was a way in.

Gladiolus: No red carpet, but a stone staircase is the next best thing.

Y/N: Lights on, everyone!

Gladiolus: Well, guess they're only closed during the day.

Ignis: Huh? What manner of mechanism is this? 

Walking down the blue, illuminated stone stairs, they begin their venture down into Costlemark Tower to retrieve the royal arm from the daemons that lie rest here.

Noctis: Let's move.

Prompto: Alright, let's go!

Gladiolus: Hmm. Out of character, but I'm not complaining.

Upon walking down the steps, they come into a circular room. Daemons started to rise up from the ground.

The daemons were Gelatin, slime-like creatures. Magic was effective against them. Ignis had prepped many spells for the group before they left. Tossing the spells at the daemons, they were quickly defeated, the daemons disappearing as they turn into a black substance. Now free, they got to the room that was to their left.

Gladiolus: Well, this place is seriously ancient.

Ignis: Indeed. These walls have withstood the test of time. A stark contrast to the ruins that lie above.

Y/N: Hmm...reminds me of a certain-wearing green hero. Had blonde hair too.

They continue down the hall, heading even deeper into the tower. From the distance, loud roars could be heard. What awaited them at the end however...is what they don't know.

All they know was a vicious beast was simply awaiting them in it's lair.

Apologies for not getting this chapter out much sooner. This was meant to come out two days ago, but I got tired and was doing other shit. Again, apologies for not getting this out much sooner. The Altissia part of the story is not coming yet as I'm going to have Noctis go around and collect the other royal arms. Of course, in the game these are all optional. However, two of the royal arms you don't get till near the end. The Katana of the Warrior doesn't come till after Altissia and the Sword of the Father is obtained when Noctis heads to Gralea.
