CHAPTER TWENTY

Lisa scratched the side of her forehead with the butt of her pencil as she nibbled her lower lip. She was one of the students who were assigned to do the fresh comer winter ball where first year college students will get to know the upper year students and different departments.

It wasn't extravagant unlike in highschool where they need to where ball dresses and suits to impress. College is more like dressing up in your most comfortable way.

And since it was also the end of the year and winter break will come soon after it, teachers and the school guardians allowed them to put alcohol in their punch drinks but not high enough to actually get drunk students roaming around school.

But since the assigned students to do the preparation of this year's winter ball are unlike ordinary, the professors can only wished for something least expected to happen.

Jenifer Ruby Bass, Nathaniel Raeburn, Tyler Kim, and Lisa Hearst are now seated at the long table inside the student council room. Three of them was assigned actually but the rich Chinese girl loves parties so much she would never lose this chance to be a part of it.

"So that's it? You guys won't do anything extra for the fresh comers? That's so boring!"
Jenifer sassed, while blowing her newly polished red nails. The smell of manicure was stuck inside the room Nathaniel needed to open the exhaust fan for it.

"Tell me why she's here again?"
Nathaniel messed up his hair and put his glasses down to massage the bridge of his nose.

"What are your suggestion then? It will happen two days from now. Changing designs and themes of the winter ball won't be a good idea. They are all prepared."
Tyler asked Jenifer nonchalantly, the lad didn't even look up, his gaze is busy eyeing the file which Nathaniel gave them to look, so that they can check wether there's missing or it's good to go. After that they should pass it to the head minister for a final review.

"Nothing much, Tyler. Just some you know? Add some more booze?"
Jenifer said, rolling her eyes. Holding a party is her forte, she held frat parties two times a month on the Kappa Delta house which is one of the school dorm here in university.

She isn't alcoholic but she loves the crowd, the attention, Jenifer Ruby loves being praise.

On the other hand, Nathaniel is having a severe headache because of the girl. He can't kick her out even if he badly wants it too. The Bass family is one of the biggest benefactors in this school in which Raeburn's owned of course. The partnership of Raeburn and Bass had a strong bond and if his parents knew about him kicking out Jenifer they will surely berserk.

So he heaved a deep sighed, trying to calm his nerves and proceed on talking.
"The teachers strictly said to add only a safe amount of alcohol to not intoxicate the students."
Being the student council president, he needs to be responsible and tolerating this stuffs won't be a good image for the school.

"Boo, where's the fun of that?"
Jenifer argued, she even snatched the files of the three and stood up to throw it in the trash can. Nathaniel, Tyler, and Lisa was flabbergasted by it. Then Ruby went back to the table as she stood mightily in front of them.

"Remember last year, did you even get some fun because the senior obeyed the teachers to not add more booze in the drinks? It was more boring than listening to a praying monk."
She's like on a debate, protecting her beliefs which gained more veins popping on Nathaniel's forehead. He will really kick her out any minute now after he'll pick up the files in the trash can. Doesn't she know they still need to report that to the head minister?

"I thought asians are smart?"
He couldn't help but to asked, Tyler who just gave him a deadpanned gaze, shake his head in disbelief. Nathaniel frowned forgetting the fact that Tyler is actually half korean and that makes his friend asian too.

Tyler ignore Nathaniel and crossed his arms over his chest as he leaned at the chair. Now what will they do? The crazy chinese girl won't actually stop until she gets what she wants.

By the thought of it, they didn't actually enjoyed last year's winter ball that much. If Tyler hadn't had Lisa that time, bet he'll die in boredom. They didn't even finished the party, they actually went somewhere else to make out and probably did more than that... He mentally shake his head, why is he even thinking about that anyway?

He got woken up from his trance of thoughts when Lisa threw her pencil on the table making a loud noise. The three looked at her and she's sporting a very bored face.
"You guys know, you can't say 'no' to the devil right? Even if we don't want to, that spoiled nihao girl will secretly add two bottles of vodka in our drinks anyway." She shrugged her shoulders, putting her elbows on the table to cupped her cheeks. Basically, giving up with this nonsense argument.

Which earned Jenifer Ruby a victory party. She once again gets what she wants when Nathaniel sighed, realizing Lisa is somehow correct.

"You know me so well, wizard."
Jenifer crossed her arms with an amused smirk playing on her red heart shape lips. The brunette just rolled her eyes from hearing the same pet name she got from her when they first met because of her Harry Potter like accent.

"Bloody gormless brat." She mumbled under her breath. Tyler heard it of course, he can't help but to chuckle hearing her old accent coming out again.

"Did you say something?"

"Nothing, Ruby."

The meeting ended with Jenifer patting her own back for the successful victory of her plan. She can't let this poor first year students to not know what real party is. They just need to trust Jenifer Ruby Bass, because she got their back so they better praise and follow her on Instagram after this.

Contrarily, Lisa Hearst went out from the student council room massaging her nape. She's exhausted from all the preparations with their winter ball and finals.

Since it's examination week, medical students needed to dress smartly like doctors. Piercings should be minimal and tattoos covered, hence why all medicine field students wore their white lab coats or scrubs for the whole week including of course the brunette who had her wavy hair in low ponytail and wore no accessories except her wristwatch, she also had minimal makeup on to look fresh even though she's badly in need of coffee right now.

"Looking good, doctor."
Lisa gather her remaining strength to turn around and greet the Latina beauty who's smiling playfully at her.

"Hi, Julia."
The shorter girl chuckled from seeing the brunette tried her best not to roll her eyes. She look so stressed up and Julia Bella was about to ask for Nathaniel but she leave that thought and just joined the lonely brunette who's heaving a deep sigh while walking like a damn zombie.

"What a law student like you is doing in our department anyway?"
The straight haired girl who have the shiniest black hair chuckled again at her words. Hearst couldn't find what's amusing in it so she just let her be.

"Oh you know me. I'm always here for my best friend but since Jen actually forgot about me fetching her might as well join you with your pity party." She smoothly lied. Julia Bella Ross is not Jenifer Bass's chaperon to actually do that to her main bitch every time. Of course she's here to have some fun and to actually annoy someone but that's another story so Julia turned her head to the brunette as she smiled at her so prettily it kinda freaked Lisa out a little.

"Now tell me, who made you this miserable sweetie?" They continued to walk and students around them can't help but to stare at the top two beauties in Manhattan Dale and not only here in campus.

They whisper words by words and some even took out there phone to actually take a photo of them together.

The brunette couldn't even count how many times she sighed today, she shortly glanced at the girl beside her and answered, "Finals?"

Julia somehow focuses her gaze on something else, her smiling lips even turned into a mischievous one.
"Are you sure it's the finals and not that one?" Hearts look at the shorter girl and Julia gestured her to look at the side not too far from them with a soft nod of her chin.

Hearst followed on where Julia has been looking at and automatically she halted from walking that made the Latina stopped too.

"Damn ma, you didn't tell me bad boy looks fascinatingly delicious in lab coat and scrubs." Julia even licked her lower lip as she smiled teasingly at Lisa who's obviously dumbstruck from where she stood at.

Lisa Hearst actually never bothered to look at anyone this morning. She was focused on the test, she didn't even want to get disturbed and seeing Jimin Clark leaning at his own locker while reading some book with his lab coat that he folded up to his elbows in which it shown some of his tattooed arm and it's not even helping how he looked so damn serious and intimidating while reading the medical book.

His brows mildly furrowed, his dark raven hair is sexily messy and he's nibbling his plump lower lip. Oh goodness just by staring at him alone is very orgasmic.

It doesn't even gave her justice that she actually have seen him wearing his scrubs and lab coats during lab sessions or if they go to clinical areas for study. So why is she suddenly acting all up astounded by the looks of him.

"You should go get a doctor for that, Lisa. The shit that struck you ain't finals. You've been bitten by the love bug, sweetie."
Yeah, maybe she should. She needs that soon to be doctor in front of them. Hearst shake her thoughts, Julia Bella Ross is intoxicating her mind. She should focus on the exam and not to the bad boy who's standing there like a full course meal in just his scrubs. Lisa still need to study for tomorrow's last examination day.

"You're crazy. We're just friends."
She finally recovered and continued on walking again. Julia laughed at her.

"Yeah right... I wasn't born yesterday sweetheart. You just looked at him like you want to kneel down and suck him good." Julia even lift her hand and did a sucking gesture with her tongue inside her cheek. Lisa's eyes went wide like she just had been scandalized. Blood went to her cheeks and it heated in no time, leaving her face all red.

"Excuse me?" Lisa gasped. She was flabbergasted but Julia only roar with laughters, she held her stomach from laughing too much at the brunette.

Lisa's face was so priceless, it stuck in Julia's head.

"Oh come on, stop acting like all virgin to me. You obviously like him."
She is still laughing but the brunette didn't even find it funny at all. She stared at the latina beauty with her arms crossed and her foot impatiently tapping the floor, waiting for her to stop laughing.

Julia finally fixed her posture as she rolled her eyes at the brunette.
"What? Did I lie?"

Lisa sighed in defeat.
"It's complicated okay?"

Hearst dragged her gaze back to the said man and she was surprised to see him already looking at her. His eyes were void with emotions, she wish she could read.

Unknown to her, she got his attention by Julia's loud laugh and there he saw her blushing face looking so pissed at what Julia just said. His lips formed a little smile, it's ridiculous how his heart flutters even just a glimpse of her... and then she turned around, her gaze locked on his and his breath had been knocked out.

Jimin could've look away from her but he misses her so much, his body failed him.

Hearst on the other hand is her heart hammering so hard, it hurts her chest.  She nervously glanced away as she continued on walking until she passes him, Julia walking beside her.

And when they're too far from him, Lisa turned to the staircase as she leaned her back to the wall for support, Julia raised a brow by the gesture.

She looked at the brunette sympathetically.
"I'm a flirt expert sweetie so believe me if I told you he badly wants to do you too. Jimin Clark just followed you with his gaze like he wanted to reach out. What the hell were you doing back there? You could've talk to him so you two can live and fuck happily ever after." Julia nudge her side and she was talking exaggeratedly.

So when Lisa look at her, Julia shake her head in amusement. She think it's better to leave her alone so she finally bid goodbye. "Ciao!" She says, winking at the brunette before Julia turned her heels and left Lisa all alone in that stairway with the other medical field students in their department.

The girl needed an alone time to figure out her feelings. But hey, at least Julia planted some seeds. If they got together she will definitely brag this to Nathaniel until he get pissed. He look so hot if he's angry. Julia thought, smiling.

Back to the brunette, Lisa let out a sighed again for the umpteenth time, she can't believe she just avoided him again.

→→→

The night has come in which Jenifer Ruby has been excited all about for two days. The winter ball night is finally happening tonight and it's been designed with Jenifer's liking, she even paid for the other extra props like it was her sixteenth birthday party.

Tyler, Lisa, and a very pissed Nathaniel didn't even had the power to opposed. Jenifer gets what she wants.

The finals is finally over and winter break is happening after this. She should celebrate for a good successful year but Lisa is here staring at her reflection in the mirror, contemplating wether to go to the ball tonight or just sleep her sadness away.

Soojin texted her earlier that she'll fetched her by seven but it's almost quarter to six yet she wasn't still fully prepared. She's still wearing her scrubs from their examination earlier, her face is bare with any makeup and her hair feels oily.

She suddenly stood up and walk out from her room after staring at her reflection for God knows how long. Her feet dragged her to the place she rarely visits as her hand knocked on the door.

"Come in."
She heard the voice inside, so Lisa turned the knob and there she saw her mom in her office inside their house. She's signing some paper works and when Mrs. Hearst saw her daughter looked distress, she stopped at what she's doing and take off her reading glasses.

"Mum? I need you." Lisa called and in that instant Josephine's heart broke for her daughter. She quickly stood up and went to her crying daughter.

Lisa didn't even know when did she start crying, her chest felt so heavy for the whole week. She tried to divert her feelings by seriously studying for the exam and it has been successful but when it's finally over and there was nothing left to do. Everything came back rushing and all the weight dropped again on her shoulders, she couldn't bare to hold on any longer.

Josephine rushed to her daughter's aid. It's a surprised to see Lisa coming to her, seeking for a comfort that she needs from a mother. Josephine knows her daughter is tough but seeing her all vulnerable right now, guilts her to the core.
"Oh dear, what happened Lisa?"
She engulfs her daughter into a warm embrace, softly patting her back.

The brunette cried even harder, when she felt her mother's care. She's so good at pushing her loved ones away that she forgotten how calming and comfortable it is in her mother's hold.

Josephine wasn't always at home, leaving her daughter all alone with the maids and servants of the house, causing her daughter to rebel against her. She sleeps at her friends house to avoid seeing her mom or maybe to avoid being alone because every time she came home, there's no one there to even greet her 'welcome back home' or 'how's school?' 'have you eaten yet?'

She isn't holding a grudge against her mother. Lisa Hearst is just lonely.

The sobbed wracked her body and the feeling inside her chest was too much to hold, she wanted to scream and cry really hard. Lisa has been holding all these fears and pain for too long, her hands were weary and tired.

She felt her knees weakened and her body do not have the energy to carry her weight anymore, so her mother guide her down slowly so that she won't hurt herself.
"Oh Lisa, what's the matter?"
Her mother cupped her cheeks, and all Lisa could see is a blurry face of her mother from the excessive crying.

Lisa let out a hiccup and closes her eyes. She heaved a deep breath, trying to calm her breathing.
"I think... I think I love someone and I can't be with him because I'm a coward. I wanted to be with him, mum but there's a part of me that just can't do it."
One by one she let out her emotions, she tried to take out the weight that's in her chest. She slowly let go all the burdens she's holding, like a child telling her mother about her fears of monsters at night.

But the monster she was talking about doesn't even have horns or sharp teeth. Because the monster she's talking about have the most beautiful eyes and sinful lips.

"I was so scared of getting hurt that I chose to hurt him instead in order to not hurt myself, but why I'm suffering in much more in pain?"
Lisa punched her chest, wanting to stop all the feelings she have. This is what she feared the most. She saw it coming, she even prepared herself for the worst but she wasn't strong enough to block her emotions and it led her to this. Her downfall.

Josephine nodded her head, finally understanding what this is all about. She put her hand on the back of her daughter's head as she gently pulled Lisa to cry on her shoulder.
"Princess, pain is inevitable. You can't escape from it even if you avoided it for the rest of your life."
She said softly, caressing her daughter's long brown hair. She planted soft kisses on Lisa's temple and she hugged her so dearly, trying to give her the comfort she needs.

Lisa's hands turned into fist.
"I saw you, mum. You almost ruined your life because of dad's affair."
Josephine's eyes went wide, realization hit her right on the heart and her embrace to her daughter tightened. Lisa was traumatized by the outcome of her parent's marriage.

In such a young age she had seen the worst kind of pain by loving someone deeply. She had seen her mother weakly kneeled down after a phone call from her dad declaring he wants a divorce. She had seen her mother cried for weeks, locked herself in her room for months, lost weight for not eating much, and almost lose her sanity with it. But behind all those pain and betrayal from the only man she loves, Lisa's mom Josephine... she never once bad mouthed her father even if they finally got divorced and her dad build a new family with another woman.

She hated the fact that her mom never stopped loving her dad even with the pain he caused her. He's still her mum's one great love and Lisa hated that. She ought to herself that she will never experience this kind of love, she will avoid it in all her might.

Unaware that she mildly copped a trauma because of it.

Josephine leaned back to see her daughter's face. She gently wipe the tears on Lisa's cheek as she smiled at her daughter solemnly.
"Once in our life we make mistakes because people weren't born to be perfect and by mistakes we learn from it, Lisa." She tucked a few strands of Lisa's hair behind her ears. Josephine stared at her daughter and it hurt her to know she's experiencing the same pain she felt before, but seeing her like this also meant her only daughter had grown into a woman, Lisa isn't her baby anymore. She just lost her chance to see her grow up and now her daughter is crying like it's a crime to fall in love.

She let out a deep sighed and caressed Lisa's cheeks. Josephine may have absences in her daughter's life but her love for her is still as deep as the ocean and she can't bare seeing her hurting like this.
"Don't be afraid to really fall in love or to lose yourself from it, because why would you stop yourself from experiencing God's greatest blessing to human?" Her mother smile at her. Assuring her that it's okay to love someone so deeply, because after all if she ever got her heart broken? This time Josephine will be there for her daughter. She will fill her absences and be with her throughout Lisa's journey. She'll be there like how her daughter was there when her husband left them for another woman.

She felt her daughter finally calmed down. The only reaction she have right now is her silent tears.

"Don't do something you'll regret for the rest of your life, princess. Because, sometimes all you gotta do is choose a person who's really worth the pain."
Josephine planted a warm lingering kiss on her daughter's forehead. She misses her daughter so much, she was so glad she went here and talked to her. Lisa only pulled her mom, taking this chance to say her real feelings for her even if the only thing she do was bicker with her. "I love you, mum."

Lisa and Soojin came up late at the ball and as usual Soojin came in front of her door and was dressed to kill unlike the brunette who just wore a dress that she firstly see inside her wardrobe. Soojin wasn't impressed by it so she pushed Lisa back inside her room and rummage inside Lisa's closet to choose a more decent outfit for the winter ball.

Once Soojin saw a never been wore, special designer's dress her eyes lit up. She took out the hanger, zipped out the plastic that's covering it and throw the dress to Lisa.

"Wear that instead, you sloth!"
Soojin narrowed her eyes to her best friend and the brunette didn't even argue about it. She take off her clothes and wore the designer dress that her mom got her from Paris fashion week.

The tailored chic one-shoulder blazer dress looks so unique it compliments Lisa's beautiful fit arm and shoulder, the classic and stiff textile gave her a sexy look and power and a soft touch of masculinity. Soojin then put a black Jimmy Choo's pointed pumps.

Her best friend clapped at her creation and Lisa can only roll her eyes and pulled her out of her room before Soojin can add more things she could wear.

Now that they are late and just missed the program's announcement which Soojin says 'the boring part of the party', students from different departments are dancing and getting to know each other with red cups in their hands. Lisa could only imagine the smirk on Jenifer's face right now.

Soojin pointed at their friends who are jamming not far from the corner side of the stage and her best friend pulled her to be with them.

"Look who came fashionably late."
Stewart checked Lisa and Soojin out from their head to toe as he playfully whistles which earned him a soft nudge at his side from Nathaniel.

"Hey! What about me?!"
Joy pouted, she didn't get compliments from their friends even if she also dressed up for this.

"You're hot too, sweetie."

"Enough with the flatteries to the ladies, Kings. Look at Bass."
Nathaniel interrupted them, the three girls just ignored his lowkey jealousy and look at what Nathaniel has been looking at.

"Wow. What is she doing up there?"
Soojin was the first one to comment when they saw Jenifer standing at the highest part of the stage with the DJ on her side, she's holding her own red cup and is looking down at the students with a smirk on her lips.

"Oh let the girl be. She's been dreaming of this." Stewart cooly says and even take a sipped at his red cup.

Joy grimaces at him.
"Yeah? She's looking at us like we're her pawns or something." She added with scrunched nose that made her friends laugh.

Lisa then look around after laughing with her friends. She and Soojin take their own red cups and poured some punch in it. Her eyes still roaming around the area, when Soojin take noticed by her weird actions.

"You guys perhaps have seen Jimin?"
Soojin asked their friends that made Lisa look at her.

Nathaniel nodded,
"Oh yeah, he arrived with August earlier and we know how whipped his cousin is to the church girl so I think he's with them."
He said while touching his chin like his trying to remember if he was right. Stewart agreed with a nod though so Nathaniel confidently smiled at his own answer.

"So what are you waiting for?"
Soojin turned to look at Lisa, she drank from the cup and shrugged her shoulders.

The brunette was confused at this.

"Huh?" Lisa blinked in surprised. She doesn't get it why Soojin is looking at her like that.

"Go get your fucking man, Lisa!"
Soojin chuckled as she pushed her best friend away to search for him. Lisa hesitated, her lips opened but there were no words that came out. She look at her friends and they were nodding at her with smiles on their faces, so without further more ado Lisa turned her back and look for him.

Soojin can only watch Lisa's back fades to the dancing crowd and then she felt a soft tapped on her shoulder and when she look at her side, she saw their friends smiling proudly at her which made her feel that she really did the right thing.

Lisa was circling back and forth around the large gymnasium of their school. In search for that certain man when she doesn't even have any idea what to talk to him if ever she sees him.

This is pointless. She had seen the elites, Jonas, Suzy, and even his cousin August who's clinging at Alaska and Hunter the whole time but they were no trace of Jimin Clark inside the hall.

So she just decided to went out from the gymnasium to actually get some fresh air. It suffocating inside, Lisa needed to breathe. She walk down the corridors and only the sound of her heels can be heard until she got to the garden in front of the library, she sat on one of the benches there and inhaled a deep breath.

She looked up to see the void night sky, only the bright moon is there. Unaware of it, she found herself smiling softly at the only celestial body that is present right now. The moon somehow gave her a relief as she found some peace in this solitude moment.

Her eyes fluttered closed as a soft wind blew at her side. It's damn winter and Soojin just made her wore this dress, it's freezing. Lisa hugged herself, trying to get herself warm when she felt something was put down on her shoulders.

Lisa opened her eyes as she look at her behind. There she saw him with his hands inside his slacks front pockets and his face was looking at the side, Lisa watched how his sharp jaw clenched.
"Jimin..." She muttered softly.

He then looked at her with furrowed brows. "What are you doing here, Hearst? It's cold out here, you'll get yourself sick."
His voice was stern and cold, his gaze paused at what she's wearing and boy he isn't pleased at all.

Can she say, she was looking for him?

"It's so loud inside. For a moment, I wanted to breathe." She said instead, pulling the blazer that he put around her shoulders earlier, she was seeking warm from it. Lisa glanced away and went back staring at the moon.

For some time he stood there in silence, until Lisa decided to stand up as well. Her gaze remained casts down to the ground and Jimin stared at her, well it was the only thing he can do now.

Jimin licked his lower lip as he took all of his strength to look away from her. "I'll go then." He says, turning away. He didn't wait for her reply anymore.

"Can you stay?"

His steps halted with her words, and when Clark turned around to face her, her brows were knotted and his sure worry lines marred on her adorable forehead beneath her infamous bangs.

There's a strong urge to pull her closer and embrace her warmly in his arms but he knew he can't.

Jimin stared at her for a moment before he shake his head.
"I- I can't Hearst. You can't keep doing this to me." His brows meet and a frown shown to his lips.

He can't keep going back to her only to be push away again. That shit hurt like hell, he ain't still a masochist for that.

"Please, Clark."

No.

"I'm sorry."
Jimin already made up his mind and that is to stop lurking with his feelings for her and start moving on. She can't keep doing this to him, it's painful.

Jimin was about to turn around when Lisa screamed at him.
"It's hard Clark!" She was breathing heavily and for once in her life this got her more terrified than pain.

"To be with someone like you is damn hard." The brunette confessed. Lisa walked towards him until she was there only a step away. She saw how his jaw clenched and how he got frozen in his spot.

She gulped the growing lump inside her throat. She already started this and backing away will be a dick move. So with a sighed, Lisa continued...
"I tried running away, avoid you in any possible ways, but it was inevitable." She tried to blink away the threatening tears on her eyes.

She hated how she get vulnerable around him. She hated how he become her weakness in just a snap.

Lisa cupped her forehead in exasperation as she cursed under her breath. Clark however just stood there in silence, contemplating wether to look at her or remain looking at the ground.

She then glared at him with teary eyes, and at that exact moment he finally lift his gaze.
"Us being friends will never work out, Clark." She look away and nibbled her lower lip. "However, I tried. I tried to be your friend; only to realized that I want more and I will never be contented to be just your friend."
She's pouring all of her emotions right in front of him and he was just there standing, rendered speechless.

Lisa dragged her gaze back to him as she let out a heavy breath.
"And it scares me to the core that if I will love you I'll end up broken in pieces without any remedies to take or redemption to save me from falling for you."

Oh no, he wasn't the only one. She loves him. She loves him too much exactly and loving someone too much can be complicated.

All those nights with him, she wished the sunset will take a day off so that she can be with him longer. All those moments when he chose to stay with her and listens to her cries, she wished she was drunk enough to be truthful with herself.

It's crazy how she was yearning for him the whole damn time even if he's just there. Always there beside her.

She let out a scoffed when she felt her tears just betrayed her, it runs down her cheeks and there she thought she cried enough already today.
"I was doing just fine, Clark. I found the perfect escape but you just came and ruined everything for me..."
Oh God, this is crazy. Her tears was contagious and she tried to cover her lips with her shaky hands to muffle her sobs.

Seeing her cry because of him, is even more painful than a piercing bullet. His chest tightened and he avoided to look at her. You're very unfair, Lisa. I told you not to do this to me. Jimin's jaw clenched as his adam's apple went up and down, his eyes sting and he couldn't even breathe properly.

"You are so good of judging me, Hearst. Is that what am I to you? A good nothing bad boy who will only break your heart?" His voice was cold and stern and even his gaze is piercing. Lisa shake her head and another tear rolled down her cheek.

"I am not Tyler nor your dad."
He said, exhausted. Clark didn't even put a fight with his emotions anymore, he just stared at her with sad eyes and a broken heart.

Lisa reached for his hand as she closes her eyes and even her breathing so that she could speak,
"I bloody know that Clark. But what if I'll loved you so much? What if I'll get so selfish and you'll get tired and sick of me? Or what if I'll ruined everything for us? I am not easy. I'm complicated and I suck at loving the people I love. I usually end up hurting them more and then we will break up... Do you think I will survive without you if that happens, Clark?"
She asked him with pleading eyes, the brunette let out a sobbed as she closed the gap between them.

Lisa's grip on his hand tightened as she leaned her forehead on his chest.
"No. I'll be damned." She whispered in a very low voice, like she didn't even want him to hear.

"Take a risk with me."

Lisa lifted her face, she was astonished from what he just said. Her eyes are wide and lips parted, she wanted to ask him if she just heard it right but her voice failed her.

This gave Jimin a chance to cupped her both cheeks.
"Choose me. Love me. Owned me. Hurt me. Break me. I don't care, Hearst but take a risk on me."

His voice cracked as he leaned his forehead on hers with closed eyes and some low profanities here and there, as he continues...
"Damnit, you are so scared of the future when you didn't even gave me any chance to prove anything to you. So fuck your fears Lisa, I'm gonna be your own remedy and redemption."

Oh God, he will. He doesn't even care about the outcome for him anymore. He left the remaining self respect he have for himself, because damn he really loves the girl. He will do anything for her. Fuck all of it but he's Jimin Clark and he's a known dare devil, if he needs to go through hell first before reaching the heavens, damn he will sail his ship right away and say 'hello' to satan itself.

Lisa saw how his jaw clenched and his piercing gaze met her, then she felt his thumb stroked her cheeks gently and his cold icy stare melted.
"I will keep running back to you even if you don't want me to, I will wipe your tears, stay by your side until you get sober and bring you back home. I will recklessly love you even if it hurts and I will never get tired of it."

His words slowly breaking the walls she built around her heart as she saw the bare truth behind his facade. Jimin Clark, the baddest bad boy in Manhattan Dale is standing in front of her begging for the it girl's heart. His emotions were stripped naked and he had no regrets at all. He wants to secure her doubts and fears with the truth and that is... he will never love anyone in his life like how he loves her.

"So screw everything, Hearst but I've loved you for so long and I'm not letting you off easily this time."

"What if—"
Jimin stopped her words by putting a finger on her lips. His lips formed a smile as it reached his eyes, creating a shape like crescent moon.

His hands move down to her nape pulling her much closer, and his shaky breath fanned on her parted lips.
"Shut up, take a risk and fucking kiss me." Lisa blinked at him for a moment, but the smile on Jimin's lips never left he's waiting for her to analyze some things and he doesn't have any patience all night so he raised his brows and gave her a small nod.
