Chapter 16 : Escapade

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

It's been a month ever since that happen. Where Jimin Clark left and completely avoided her for good or maybe it's also the other way round? Hearst couldn't really look at him in the eyes, she somehow felt guilty and she doesn't even know why.

So yes, Jimin Clark stopped hanging out with the Royals now and he doesn't even go out every Saturday night to race. Like he suddenly vanished to Lisa's life.

However, he kept his attendance at school and his grade straight A which Lisa was silently thankful for because that means she can still steal glances at him every weekdays.

I mean why not? She's worried.

Then Stewart says he founded a new hobby to get addicted to. At least he's not doing something illegal anymore. He was strangely straightening his life and that's something to be happy for right?

Another strange thing was he talks to Suzy Sunfire after and before class then one time on the street she bumped into him and he was with Jazz Hunter and the two Sunfires. Jazz and Alaska Rose were polite to greet her but Clark didn't even spare Hearst a glance, he was too immersed to the conversation he had with Suzy.

Lisa quickly bid them goodbye and passed through them that she missed how Clark look at her until she fades to the crowd.

Lisa flipped through pages to pages, she can't even concentrate at what she's reading when they will have a demo on Monday for their general surgery class. She nibbled her lower lip, eyes still boring holes at the two figures who had their own world talking to each other, it doesn't even help how he bugs her mind for the past weeks.

"Hey." Red lips Jenifer Ruby Bass suddenly sat at the vacant seat across Hearst. Her cat like eyes twinkled in mischief.

"Who are you staring at sweetie?" She asked her with a mocking smirk on her lips. Jenifer put her knuckles on her chin as she laughed amusedly.

Lisa rolled her eyes as she closed the book she's been reading.
"Got shooed away by August again, Ruby? Is that why you're here annoying the hell out of me?"
She spat in irritation, leaning at her seat as she crossed her arms over her chest. Lisa sighed in defeat, she doesn't really have time for this.

"Oh dear, don't we have the same problem is it?" Jenifer chuckled, rolling her perfect ebony hair with her fingers. "Two queens getting avoided by two fucking Clarks." Her gums showing and for a second there Lisa thought she's cute like an innocent child but we all know Jenifer Ruby Bass is an evil reincarnate.

"How does it feel?" She hummed, taking Lisa's book on her hands.

"Leave me alone."

"Don't get too hot headed, Hearst. I was only joking." She winked her asian eyes and rolled a tongue on her upper teeth. Something she do when she's amused. "You see, I'm the only queen here." She continued with a sly smirk that Lisa had the biggest urge to wipe it out from the crazy rich girl's face.

Lisa take her book back from Ruby's hands, and she then put her whole attention to the chinese girl.
"How boring is your life is Ruby? You can't seem to mind your own business. That's so sad."
If Jenifer have the ability to ruin Lisa's mood? The latter is also best at it. The two can really get into each other's nerves and everybody were aware of it.

Arguing with Jenifer Ruby Bass is pointless. It's like having a conversation with a child but Lisa is pissed.
"Don't you have someone to keep you busy?" She halted for a second before forcing her lips to smile venomously.
"Oh, that's right. He left you for someone new." she said, eyes narrowed and head tilted to let her hair dangle in the breeze.

Jenifer slammed her fist on the table, definitely had enough of the brunette. She had crossed the line but Lisa could only care less, she's just finishing what Jenifer started.

"It must've hurt your pride, queen when your king started to chase someone who's lower than your rank."
And that's where Jenifer exploded, she stood up and gave Lisa a glare which the latter fully returned it back.

The two exchanges heated stares with Lisa looking unbothered on her seat even if the rich girl is now towering her. Slowly, Jenifer leaned in.
"You're so brave of making fun of me, Hearst but look who's regretting big time now? You just lose someone who can actually give up the whole world for you."
It was definitely a war of words and who can hurt the other one worse. Both of them are at each other throats like savage hungry dogs fighting over dominance.

"So tell me, which one of us have the worser situation?"
Jenifer lowly whispered at her. Lisa closes her eyes trying to help herself calm down. She was breathing hard and anger seething through her.

Hearst is really trying to suppress her rage, she was afraid that if she open her eyes she would slapped the hell out of the crazy rich girl and that will just lead her to a much worse situation like what she said.

"Is everything okay here?"
A soft worried voice entered her ears, that completely distracted her from her thought of pulling Jenifer Ruby's hair until she get bald.

Lisa opened her eyes and saw the only man that keeps her sane these days. She sighed in relief and smiled.

Jenifer who saw this just rolled her eyes and turned her back to the two, completely walking away from them.

Guess it's a tie then. Bass may have won the argument but Hearst have someone by her side.

Damn, he had no idea how happy she is that now he's here.

Lisa stood up and throw her arms at him, Jonas chuckled at this and catch the brunette as they engulfed each other for a warm bear hug.
"Sorry to have kept you waiting."
He mumbled, burying his face on the crook of her neck.

"No, it's alright." She replied with a giggle when she felt Jonas just planted soft kisses to her neck up to her cheek.

He was never the PDA type of guy but he saw how Jenifer stood up in front of Lisa and the latter was even close to crying, so he rush to her in a heartbeat regretting why he even left her alone there just to freaking submit his biology assignment.

"Do you wanna go somewhere else?"
Jonas then asked, slightly pulling away to look at her face. The brunette had a childish grin on her lips as her eyes twinkled in delight.

"Thought you won't ever ask."

As much as he could? Jonas Jeon wanted to pull her mind away from it.

When Lisa Hearst said she wanted to go to the country side, Jonas Jeon thought she was only joking but when the latter dragged him to the train station and bought tickets for two, he couldn't believe she will really do it.

They don't have anything with them but their school bags, phones and wallets. It was ridiculously spontaneous however when he sees the smile on her face, it didn't even matter with him anymore. Jonas just wanted to stay it there for good.

It was already dark when they got off the train and Lisa who had a big smile on her face inhaled a deep breath, taking in the fresh air of the small town away from the city and pollution. "Well... welcome to my mom's hometown, cookie." It's her odd nickname to him that he had gotten used too now.

"It's a pleasure, doll." He stepped forward and stood beside her, Lisa shortly glanced at him as she giggled with his endearment for her. Lisa bit her bottom lip as she reached for his hand to intertwined it with hers.

"Come on."

She dragged him again and the next thing he knew, they were standing at a bungalow house. It wasn't as glamorous like the mansion she lives in Manhattan Dale but like a really humble home for someone as rich as her.

"So you're telling me, you don't have any guest room?" He asked, eyes were wide shocked. Lisa could only laugh at how cute he looks right now.

"Why, cookie? I'm not gonna bite you in your sleep." She teased him with a wink, Jonas released a sighed before making his way to her to hold her arms.

Hearst gladly face him, as she lift her one hand to straighten the worry lines on his forehead that strangely makes him even hotter, I mean what the hell? How come?

Lisa then circled her arms on his nape, waiting for his comeback to her playful banters that they should sleep together.

"Doll, don't you think it's inappropriate for a guy and a girl to sleep in one bed?"
There's a tinged of tiredness in his voice, but his hands gently went to her thin waist and Lisa bit her lower lip to prevent a smile. She can't believe they've been talking about the same thing for the past 30 minutes already.

"Grandma even agreed that you should sleep in my room." She countered back again. That ended up with Jonas hands falling to his sides, Lisa was having so fun seeing an agitated bunny in her arms.

Oh boy, she won't make it really easy on him.

"I'm sleeping on the floor then."
He is now pouting like a baby and Lisa couldn't believe she is seeing this.

Jonas tried to take Lisa's arms off of him but the latter just pushed herself to him closer, that she is almost hugging him like a koala.
"But you'll get your back hurt!"
She protested loudly.

Jonas clicked his tongue as he stop moving and stared at the brunette that's really clinging to him so tight.
"Doll, I'm a man." There, he finally said his worries.

Lisa pulled her head up and meet his gaze. Her lips formed into a small 'o' before it slowly became a grin.

She then finally take her arms off only to push him on the bed. Jonas groaned at this as he tried to stand up but Lisa straddled on top of him.
"I know you are, cookie."
She whispered to his ear, as she didn't even forget to graze her soft lips to his earlobe, wanting to tease the man more she start to nuzzle his jaw up and stopped just in front of his lips. Their breaths mingled as they stared at each other's eyes, Lisa smiled and was about to lean in

when they heard loud knocks before the door of the room opened, revealing her grandmother holding her waist.
"Lisa, stop teasing the boy. You get out of there and sleep in my room."
She scolded the brunette who is actually still straddling on Jonas.

"But grandma how about grandpa?!"
She whined like a little girl who got her candy stolen away by the bullies.

"He'll be sleeping on the couch at the living room!"
The old lady gestured her grand daughter to leave the room and Lisa couldn't do anything but stomped her way out. But before she completely leave Jonas alone...

She eyed him,
"You're lucky tonight, Jeon." And there she goes off with the door also being closed.

He just shake his head in amusement. That girl is really something.

Jonas Jeon was startled when he felt the bed move and the sheet rustles, he opened his eyes only to be greeted with the brunette hugging his torso under the white comforter.
"Lisa?! What are you doing here?"
He whisper shouted, the latter stirred in her sleep as her lips made an involuntary pout.

"Shut up and go back to sleep." She said in a very hoarse voice and even pushing herself closer to his warmth.

She sniffs dejectedly and buries her face in his chest.
"You smell like a baby, cookie."

He released a long sighed, well he doesn't have any choice but to pull her closer to him as she made herself comfortable in his arms. "Goodnight, doll." He whispered to her and she answered him with a sleepy hummed.

What a stubborn girl. He thought but a soft smile slowly crept on his lips. Ahhh he must really like her.
