A couple of days had gone by..... and tonight was the farewell party, Maddy looked at herself in the mirror and smiled... she had picked out the perfect outfit.

She heard a gentle knock on her door, which caused her to move away from the mirror.

"Come in!" Maddy said.

The door opened up and revealed Steve, who was wearing a blue buttoned up shirt with black pants.

"Well don't you look dashing!" Maddy smiled.

"And you look beautiful," Steve smiled.

"Really?! I wasn't sure on what to wear," Maddy sighed.

"You look fine! And I'm surprised you didn't pick out a dress," Steve laughed.

"Ugh Steve! You know me, I'd rather drown and freeze for 70 years than wear a dress," Maddy giggled.... but paused.

"Oh wait! That did happen," Maddy continued.

Steve shook his head and laughed.

"Come on! Everyone is waiting," Steve said.

Maddy nodded.... and followed behind him.

Maddy stood next to Rhodes and Thor.... while Rhodes told a story.

"Well, you know, the suit can take the weight, right? So I take the tank, fly it right up to the General's palace.... drop it at his feet, and I'm like *BOOM! You looking for this?*" Rhodes smiled... but paused when he noticed no one was laughing.

"BOOM! Are you looking.....why do I even talk to you guys? Everywhere else that story kills," Rhodes sighed.

"That's a story? My god that was awful!" Maddy laughed.

"Wait! That's the whole story?" Thor asked.

"Uh yeah! It's a war machine story!" Rhodes said.

"Oh well then! It was very good! Amazing! I applaud your storytelling!" Maddy snorted.

"Ah yes! Very impressive!" Thor laughed.

"Quality save. So, no Pepper? She's not coming?" Rhodes asked... looking at Tony who was standing there shaking his head in disappointment.

"No," Tony stated.

"Hey! What about Jane? Where are the ladies, gentlemen?" Maria questioned... completely ignoring Maddy's present.

"Well, Miss Potts has a company to run," Tony said.

"Ah yes, I'm not even sure what country Jane's  in. Her work on the convergence has made her the world's foremost astronomer," Thor replied.

Maddy rolled her eyes... and walked away, heading over towards Steve and Sam.

"Pigeon man! Hey!" Maddy smiled.

"Maddy! So good to see you alive and well! I also found the perfect nickname for you!" Sam laughed.

"Oh yeah! Please do tell," Maddy said.

"Human shield! Because you are always taken hits," Sam laughed.

"So very funny! Pigeon man," Maddy frowned.

Sam turned towards Steve.

"Sounds like hell of a fight, sorry I missed it," Sam said.

"If I had known it was going to be a firefight, I absolutely would have called you," Steve smiled.

"No! I'm not actually sorry. I'm just trying to sound tough. I'm very happy chasing cold leads on our missing person case. Avenging is your world. Your world is crazy! Sam replied.

"Be it ever so humble!" Steve laughed.

"You find a place in Brooklyn yet?" Sam asked looking from Steve to Maddy.

Maddy was staring off into space.... going back to what Sam has said earlier, him and Steve were searching for Bucky.

"Um wait! Missing person case? Whose missing?" Maddy asked.

Steve and Sam ignored her question.

"I don't think I can afford a place in Brooklyn," Steve sighed.

"Ah well! Home is home, you know?" Sam smiled.

"How rude! Why are you both ignoring my question!" Maddy frowned.

"I-We didn't wanna tell you until we found something," Sam said.

"And did you find something?" Maddy asked.

"No, he's completely off the grid," Steve replied.

Maddy looked over her shoulder and smiled.... she was glad they hadn't found Bucky, but sudden fear washed over her... because she knew they'd find him eventually.
