Chapter 77

"Where did Captain America learn how to steal a car?" Natasha asked.

"Nazi Germany," Steve said.

Maddy threw her head back and started laughing.... Natasha turned around and gave Maddy a funny look.

"You don't remember.... do you?"
Maddy asked.

Steve looked in the mirror and smirked.

"Don't remember what?" Steve questioned.

"I was the one who taught you how to steal a car..... I was the trouble maker growing up, and you and Bucky always had to bail me out, but I however never picked fights with boys bigger than me," Maddy smiled.

"Wow. Really? I don't remember, but we are just borrowing.... Natasha get your feet off the dash," Steve smiled.

"Alright! I have a question for the both of you! Oh, which you both don't have to answer. I feel like if you don't answer though, you're kind of answering it, you know?" Natasha asked.

"What?" Maddy and Steve both said.

"How long has it been since you've kissed someone Maddy? And Steve was that your first kiss since 1945?" Natasha questioned.

"That bad, huh?" Steve asked.

"Maddy now you have to answer your question," Natasha said turning to look at her.

Maddy dropped her head and started messing with her hands....she kept thinking about her last kiss, and who it was with.

"It's been a very long time since I've last kissed someone.... the last person I kissed was Bucky Barnes," Maddy sighed.

"Oh Maddy I'm sorry.... I shouldn't have asked," Natasha said.

"No it's okay! It's been awhile, but it's not that bad," Maddy replied.

" I didn't say it was," Natasha said.

"Well, it kind of sounds like that's what you are saying," Steve said.

"No, I didn't. I just wondered how much you've practiced.... and you and Maddy are both very secretive," Natasha replied.

"You don't need practice... and me and Maddy don't like to open up," Steve sighed.

"Everybody needs practice... and you guys should open up more," Natasha said.

"It was not my first kiss since 1945. I'm ninety-five. Not dead," Steve laughed.

"Nobody special, though?" Natasha asked.

Both Maddy and Steve laughed.

"Believe it or not, it's kind of hard finding someone with shared life experience," Steve said.

"Well I for one think you and Natasha would be adorable together," Maddy smiled.

"What, Natasha?" Steve laughed.

"Hm. I don't know. The truth is a matter of circumstances, it's not all things to all people all the time. And neither am I," Natasha said.

"That's a tough way to live," Maddy replied.

"It's a good way not to die," Natasha shrugged.

"You know, it's kind of hard to trust someone when you don't know who that someone really is," Steve said.

"But in time you will...." Natasha paused

"Who do you want me to be?" Natasha continued.

"How about a friend?" Steve said.

"Nope! I totally disagree... you two should be more then friends," Maddy smiled.

"Well, there's a chance you might be in the wrong business, Rogers.... but I only see your brother as a friend, but I think you and I will be best friends in the future," Natasha laughed.

"Oh just you wait," Maddy whispered.
