Maddy quickly dodged a fist that was coming towards her face.... she took a step back and watched as the winter soldier stumbled past her.

She smirked.

He stood straight up and continued to throw punches, Maddy kept dodging them.

He growled.

The winter soldier whipped out his knife and started swinging it around.... Maddy tried dodging the swings but was cut across the arm and stomach, she stumbled back and hissed.

"MADDY!" Steve yelled out.

"STAY BACK! THIS IS MY MISSION!" Maddy screamed, turning her head and looking at Steve who was running up towards her but stopped.

The winter soldier grabbed Maddy by the arm and started swinging punches, Maddy grabbed his arm and twisted it.... but his arm didn't budge. She looked closer and noticed it was pure metal....

"Oh you have to be kidding me!" Maddy groaned.

Maddy quickly wrapped her legs around his metal arm and pulled him down with all her weight.... they both fell down.

Maddy quickly stood to her feet and jumped on top of him... throwing punch after punch.

The winter soldier tried standing up but failed... due to her being on top of him, he grabbed her leg and squeezed it.

Maddy screamed out in pain and then sudden tears filled her eyes when she heard a crack.

He had broken her leg.

Maddy stumbled back, lifting up her broken leg... she lifted up her hands and balled them into fists.

"I can do this all day! You think breaking my leg is gonna stop me?! You have it all wrong mister!" Maddy growled.

"MADDY! NATASHA IS HERE!" Steve called out.

Maddy turned around.... looking at Steve.

Suddenly she noticed the color from Steve's face started to drain.... there was a loud *BANG*

Maddy slowly turned around and noticed the winter soldier now had a gun in his hand....

Maddy looked down at her stomach and noticed she was bleeding.... a lot.

"Ouch," Maddy breathed out, falling on her back.

The winter soldier stood over her.... gun pointed to her head, she stared into his eyes and noticed how they looked so familiar...

Maddy closed her eyes.... a few tears started falling down her cheek.

"Go ahead kill me!" Maddy said.

She opened her eyes and noticed he wasn't there anymore.... it was as if he wasn't there from the start.

Maddy continued to lay on the ground... coughing up blood.

"MADDY!!" A familiar voice said.

Suddenly two figures appeared, standing over Maddy.

"I-I.... Did I get him?" Maddy asked.

"N-No.... but you will!" Natasha said.

Steve quickly picked up Maddy.

"What do we do with her? We can't take her to a hospital," Steve replied.

"Just take her back to her apartment, I'll stitch her up the best I can.... the serum should be healing her," Natasha said.

"I-I don't feel so good.... Steven," Maddy breathes out.

"Hang on kiddo Natasha will fix you," Steve said.

"W-Why didn't he kill me?" Maddy questioned.

"Maybe he didn't want you to die yet?" Natasha replied.

"H-How did he know where I lived?" Maddy asked.

"That's a very good question," Steve growled.

Maddy looked up at the sky and soon darkness consumed her.... she was now unconscious, but one question remained in her head.

Why did those eyes look so familiar?
