Steve and Maddy kick opened a door.... only to find it absolutely quiet, Maddy takes the first couple of steps towards the control platform.... only to notice that the pilot chair was empty.

Maddy and Steve quickly become alerted when they heard a whine of assault rifle.... warming up.

Maddy looked out the window.... but suddenly  sees a reflection of Red skull, who was pointing his gun at her back.....she quickly turned around and jumps out of the way, missing the blasts.

The blasts quickly hits the window.... blowing out a pane of the cockpit glass. Wind begins to fill the cockpit.....

"You both don't know when to give up, do you?" Red Skull growled.

"Nope," both Maddy and Steve said.

Maddy and Steve charge are Skull.... who quickly fires again, the blue bolts ricochet around the cabin.... Maddy quickly dodges the blasts, while Steve swings, bashing the rifle from Skull's hand...

Maddy rushed over to where Steve and Red Skulls..... roughly putting Skull into a headlock but he quickly throws Maddy into a bulkhead.

"You both wear a flag on your chests and you both think you fight a battle of nations? I have seen the future..... Captain, Miss America. There are no flags but Hydra's," Red Skull smirked.

"Keep the future, Darling....we're kinda looking for a little here and now," Maddy smiled.

Maddy slams her fist into Red Skulls jaw.... he staggers back, completely surprised.

She quickly cocks back and hits Red Skull with an uppercut.

"I should kill you.... right here, right now," Maddy snarled.

"Such anger.... is it because the love of your life, is dead?" Red skull smirked.

"No!" Maddy blurted out.

"What was his name? Ah yes! James Buchanan Barnes, what a shame he had to fall out of that train.... and die," Red Skull smirked.

Maddy grabbed Red Skull by his collar and started to punch him....

Suddenly the Plane spins into a barrel roll....

Steve and Maddy crash across the whirling cockpit....

The plane jerks again.... throwing them all three together.

Steve powers Skull into the ceiling....

Skull roughly elbows Steve into the wall, he quickly makes a run for it.... trying to reach the autopilot.

Maddy uses her body... and swings around a strut and slams her fist into Skull's head.

"You both could have the power of gods...." Red Skull paused.

Maddy looks over at Steve... then back at Skull.

"And you both won't admit.... you want it?" Skull continued, while picking up a gun... aiming it towards Steve's chest.

Maddy stumbled in between both Steve and Skull....

"We want what every soldier on every battlefield wants...." Maddy paused, looking at the shield which rested by her feet.

"We want to go home... we want this war to end," Maddy continued.

Maddy slams her heel into the shield, flipping it into the air.... Skull quickly fires.

Maddy turns around..... shoving Steve out of the way, she quickly grabs the shield in the air... and blocks the blasts.

She jumps into the air... and hurls the shield at Skull, it quickly hits him in the ribs.... which caused Skull to be knocked off his feet, smashing him into the cube console.

Maddy and Steve watched as the blue Arc begins to crackle from the damage machinery.

Steve and Maddy gape as the cube burns off Skull's hand, exposing the scarred flesh...

Maddy threw her head back.... getting completely disgusted by the awful smell of burnt flesh.

Steve grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the console.

Maddy looked over at Skull.... she saw how worried he looked, she knew something was wrong.

Suddenly a bright blue light.... started to surround Red Skull.

"No..." Skull paused, looking around him.

"NO!!" Skull screamed out.  

Energy bolts ricochet off the ceiling and strike Skull..... completely vaporizing him.

The cube falls down next to Maddy's feet.... she frowned and kicked it away.

"Something so small... can kill so many," Maddy mumbled.

Maddy watched as Steve climbs into the chair, the control stick steers automatically... Steve started to wrestle with it, trying to override the plane.... Maddy stared at the monitor, which showed a green map of Manhattan.

Maddy quickly turned on the radio... and stayed turning the knob, trying to find the right channel.

"Agent Carter, come in..." Maddy called out.

"Maddy? Steve? Are you both okay?" Peggy sighed.... with such relief.

"We're fine!" Maddy smiled.... looking over at Steve.

"Where's Schmidt?" Peggy asked.

"Schmidt.... is dead," Maddy replied.

"What about the plane?" Peggy asked... with a hint of nervousness in her voice.

"T-That's a little bit harder to explain," Steve spoke up.

Maddy and Steve stare intensely at the New York map, Maddy held the radio in her hand.... and while Steve held his compass.

"Give me the coordinates... I'll find a landing site...." Peggy said but was quickly cut off.

"Peggy... there isn't going to be a landing, Schmidt's locked the navigation system," Maddy sighed.

"There's more than enough power, to reach the East Coast," Steve said.

"I'll get Howard on the line.... he'll know what to do," Peggy replied shakily.

"We're sitting on hundred tons of explosives... hot wiring this thing isn't an option," Steve sighed.

Maddy looked into Steve's eyes.... and sad utter sadness, her heart broke because after years of waiting for someone to come along and make Steve happy..... she realized Peggy was his happiness.

"Steve.... you can take one of the bomber planes, and I'll stay here and fly this things into the water," Maddy said, pulling out her locket.... that Bucky has given her.

"No! We are in this together! I'm not gonna lose you.... like I lost Bucky," Steve replied.

They quickly looked out the window..., staring at the vast, blue expanse of the ocean.

"I've got to put her down in the water," Steve said.... grabbing Maddy's hand and squeezing it gently.

"But you said you couldn't steer it," Peggy stated.

Steve scans the control panel.... he spots a thick cable running from the ignition to the engine.

"He can't... but I think he can crash it," Maddy said.

Steve yanks the cable out.... sparks started to fly everywhere, the light quickly die, the engine suddenly stopped....and the plane goes quiet.

"Steve.... Maddy....don't do this, we've got time. We can figure this out," Peggy replied... with a sudden crack in her voice.

"We already did! Right now, we're in the middle of nowhere.... if Steve waits any longer, a lot of people will get hurt.... or worse, they'll die," Maddy sighed.

Steve quickly grabbed the radio from Maddy's hand.

"Peggy, this is my choice," Steve sighed.

"We'll send out rescue ships! We'll find you both," Peggy said.

"I don't think there's going to be much time left to find us...." Steve replied but quickly paused, looking over at Maddy... who was looking down at her locket with such sudden sadness.

"Peggy?" Steve continued.

"I-I'm here!" Peggy said.

Steve's compass spins wildly.... he gazes at the picture of Peggy.

"I'm going to need a raincheck on that dance," Steve sighed.

"All right! A week from Saturday, The Storks Club," Peggy said.... Maddy could how heartbroken Peggy was.

"You got it!" Steve chuckled.

"Don't be late... if so then I'm leaving you, do you understand?" Peggy said.

"I still don't know how to dance," Steve sighed.

Maddy quietly chuckled.

"I'll show you! I'll show you everything... just be there," Peggy said.

The clouds whip past the window as the plane plummets..... Maddy placed the locket in her pocket, while Steve placed his compass in his pocket.

They both stare at one another....

Maddy placed her hand into Steve's.....

"Before we die.... I just wanna say, I'm so glad to have you as my brother! I love you Steve," Maddy smiled.

"I love you too kiddo!" Steve smirked, placing his mask over his face.

He looked down at the radio.... that rested in his other hand.

"Maybe the band could play something slow, I'd hate to step on your feet," Steve said.

The plane skids violently across a glacier...

"STEVE!" Maddy yelled.... watching in horror as the plane started sliding.

"I KNOW!" Steve called out.

The plane suddenly falls into an icy lake...

It floats for a moment, then sinks.

Knocking out Both Steve and Maddy... completely freezing them. Together.

Steve held Maddy close.
