"Fondue is just cheese and bread, my friend," Howard paused turning around to face both Steve and Maddy.

Maddy stood next to Steve with an amused look on her face.

"And it sounds like she thinks you've got more going for you....than that," Howard laughed.

"Really, I didn't think," Steve replied with a surprised tone.

"Nor should you, pal... the minute you think you know what's going on in a woman's head is the minute your goose is well and truly cooked," Howard laughed.

"Steve, you don't ever think...." Maddy snorted.

A group of workers wheeled in something large.... it outlined a motorcycle, Maddy frowned.

"Oh goody.... Steve gets a motorcycle," Maddy frowned.

"Actually! You both do!" Howard smiled.

"Howard you are absolutely amazing!" Maddy squealed.

"I know.... but I think I'm about to come more amazing," Howard laughed.... as he walked over towards them both.

"Carbon polymer. Ought to hold its own against your average German bayonet.... of course, Hydra's not likely to come at you with a pocket knife...." Howard paused picking up Steve's battered shield.

"I hear you're sort of attached," Howard said... tracing the shield.

"It's handier than you think," Steve shrugged.

"So is the chambermaid, but I wouldn't take her into battle," Howard chuckled.

Howard walks behind the large table that stood in front of them and wheeled out a cart filled with number of shields, Steve walked up and looked at them all..... Maddy could tell he wasn't fond of any of them.

" I took the liberty of coming up with a few options," Howard said.

Maddy looked down and noticed something sliver catching her eye, she walked over the table and picked it up to get a better look..... it was a plain, round shield, she smiled knowing this shield would fit Steve perfectly.

"How about this one, Steve!" Maddy replied.

Steve turned around looking at what was in Maddy's hand.... he smiled, and gently took it out of her grasp.

"What about this one!" Steve smiled.

"Oh, that's just a prototype... how about this one," Howard said but was cut off by Steve.

"What's it made of?" Steve questioned moving the shield around.

"Vibranium, strongest than steel and a third of the weight," Howard said.

Steve slides the shield on his arm.... and grinned.

"It's completely vibration absorbent... should make a bullet feel like a cotton ball," Howard smiled.

Suddenly a door opened from behind them... they all turned and saw Peggy walking in.

"How come it's not standard issue?" Steve asked.

"It's the rarest metal on earth.... you're holding all we've got," Howard shrugged.

Peggy reaches them.

"Are you about finished, Mr. Stark? I'm sure the Captain has some unfinished business.... and Maddy once you are done here, I need to speak with you," Peggy replied coldly.

"W-What do you think?" Steve asked Peggy.

Peggy glares at him... she turns to a table of guns, quickly picks one up and aims at Steve's chest.

Everyone hid behind something.... but Maddy stood next to Steve, not moving a muscle.... she didn't even flinch.

The bullets turn to slug and hit the ground.

"I think it works, now Maddy are you finished here?" Peggy asked.

"Almost.... I was gonna talk to Howard about my uniform," Maddy replied.

"It's okay Maddy! I'll take care of it," Steve said.

Maddy sighed.... knowing Steve had awful taste in clothing, but she didn't want to keep Peggy walking.

Maddy nodded and followed Peggy out of the lab.

They both reached the hallway... Peggy stopped and turned towards Maddy with a huge smile.

"I'm going to teach you how to shoot a gun!" Peggy smiled.

"W-What? Why?" Maddy said completely surprised.

"You're a Soldier! You need to learn how to shoot.... don't worry, I'm having someone else help you as well," Peggy laughed.

Peggy turned on her heels and began to walk away.

"Come on! We don't wanna keep him waiting," Peggy called out.

Maddy froze....

"Him?" Maddy whispered... before quickly rushing towards Peggy's said.
