"This is SHIELD?" Pietro asked, standing beside Maddy.

"This is what SHIELD's supposed to be," Steve said.

"This is not bad!" Pietro smiled.

"Let's load everyone up!" Maddy ordered.

"Is this the best you can do?" Thor yelled.

Suddenly Ultron summoned his army of bots...

"Really? You had to ask?" Maddy questioned.

"This is the best I can do! This is exactly what I wanted. All of you, against all of me. How could you possibly stop me?" Ultron asked.

"Well like the old man said. Together!" Tony smiled, landing next to Maddy.

Everyone started to fight off the bots.

"You know, with the benefit of hindsight...." Ultron went to say but was quickly cut off.

Hulk had thrown something at him....tossing him, as he went flying.... the bots started to retreat.

"They'll try to leave the city," Thor said.

"We can't let them! Rhodey!" Tony yelled in the ear piece.

"No way! Rhodey's here? I bet he said he'll turn this into a story," Maddy laughed.

"Oh you bet he said that," Tony smirked.

"You both realize I can hear you!" Rhodey said.

Maddy and Tony laughed.

"We gotta move out! Even I can tell the air is getting thin. You guys get to the boats, I'll sweep for stragglers, be right behind you," Steve replied.

Maddy turned to look at him.... shaking her head.

"I'm not leaving.... not until you are by my side," Maddy said.

Steve sighed, knowing there was no talking her out of going....

"Alright! Fine, you go protect the core!" Steve ordered.

Maddy nodded and took off running.

"I'll go with her! It's my job to protect it... it's my job," Wanda said, quickly running off to join Maddy.

Maddy and Wanda stood by the core... waiting to hear back from Tony.

"You know I saw your biggest fear.... when I controlled your mind," Wanda sighed... looking at Maddy.

"And that would be?" Maddy asked.

"Losing the love of your life.... not being able to have a family with him," Wanda said.

Maddy sighed... she closed her eyes and saw Bucky and how happy he was.

"It'll never happen, the whole family thing," Maddy replied.

"You never know! I heard Stark is a very smart man, and is willing to help you," Wanda smiled.

All of a sudden, Wanda froze.... instant sadness filled her eyes. She fell to the ground and screamed out in pain.....

"Wanda?!" Maddy yelled, running to her side.

"H-He's gone!!!" Wanda screamed, standing up and running off.

Maddy stood there.... not knowing what to do next.

"Maddy! We are all set, make your way towards the Helicarrier," Steve ordered.

Maddy took off running, she turned the corner and saw Steve standing on one of the boats.... staring at her, with a smile.

Suddenly the city started to fall.... taking Maddy with it, she tried to run towards the boat but every step she took.... crumbled underneath her.

"Goodbye Steve," Maddy smiled weakly... staring into his eyes.

"MADDY!!" Steve yelled.

Maddy closed her eyes.... falling out of the sky, waiting to meet death. Images of her childhood up until now started to play in her head.

"I love you Bucky," Maddy whispered.

Her body smacked against the water.... knocking her out, she floated for a few seconds then started to sink.

Thor flew into the water.... swimming after the body of his friend, he quickly grabbed her and flew her cold, unconscious body up to the Helicarrier... he gently set her body on the ground.

Steve jumped off the boat and raced toward Thor and Maddy....

"W-Why isn't she waking up?" Steve asked, tears filling up in his eyes.

"I am not sure," Thor sighed.

"She's breathing.... but slowly, we should get her inside," Tony spoke up.

Steve gently picked up his sister and carried her inside.... hoping and praying that she'd be okay.

She was all he had.

He was all she had.
