"An unknown sickness broke out a couple months ago, not many are sure how such an sickness broke out but it has and its killing many. Those who catch it start having purple rashes grow around their bodies and their mind becomes angry along with feeling nothing but hate. They attack others without mercy and just kill them without mercy. No cure has been found so far but it seems it can take either a couple days or just a week for the victim to lose their minds to the sickness before they just kill and kill like its their only thing keeping them alive" Hanji explained with a frown as she sat on her desk chair, Moblit leaning on the locked door to make sure no one gets in.

"Well there is one cure" Farlan mumbled as he looked to the school nurse, who was a doctor but just the school nurse for now. 

"Killing them is not a cure, its just killing them. I agree that its best to end their suffering before they become trapped in their crazy killer state but killing them is just ending their life. I know they killing others in brutal ways during their state but killing them can not count as a cure" Moblit snapped back as guilt filled his eyes.

"Its does the job" Mikasa mutter as she placed a hand on her hip.

"But its not a cure, we must find a way to make a cure for them" Armin spoke up with worry and looked to mikasa who stood closes to the door/moblit while the others stood before hanji and the beds. 

"Killing them is also freeing them, if we left them to run while then they just keep killing and killing without stopping and we be forcing them to live in hell trapped within their own hate. Killing them quickly is also giving them peace and helping them to be free of their own turned mind. Once the sickness takes over, they no longer the person you once knew and trust me its only more cruel to let them live in such a suffering state while killing others without reason. Let alone the unlucky ones who live but catches the sickness themselves. They kill their own love ones without a thought, its best to stop them before they have such blood stains" Mikasa explained in a cold emotionless tone making the others frown. 

"well killing them seems to work and well we been safely hidden up in school. We cant speak so holy when we not been out there dealing with this sickness mess. We need to remember that we dont live in a happy peaceful time ... we live in a time of war and death" Levi sighed as he crossed his arms.

"So, what happens now. Why didnt the school tell us about this sickness that going around and what about our families. We all agreed to come to this school either to live a good life or to help our families to live on during such times thanks to the money the school gives each family for their gifted or soul children" Isabel asked with worry as she turned to the teacher.

"They clearly weren't planning on telling us, we just found out becuase this lovely badass just shot a student who became infected. Plus she said two months, that a long time for this sickness to spread and get out of hand meaning its already hell out there compared to have hellish it was before we were sent to the academy" Jean sighed as he rubbed his arm.

"Two months, how many would have died from this. I mean most are barely fed let alone still alive before we came to the academy for our families shake, not many would be able to fight back from someone trying to kill them. Just how many of the human race is still left" Eren replied as he turned to the teacher. 

"People were dying daily anyway, lets try not to make it seem like a horrifying thing that was killing our race off. We live in a time of a hundred years of war, people were either dying by hunger, illness or war ... this sickness is just another thing trying to kill us quicker but how did it even start without the goverment taking notice. I understand the goverment hidden up on bases way around the dying towns and all but wouldnt they heard rumours" Marco spoke up and Mikasa glanced to the students. 

"Its unclear how the sickness started and why it suddenly popped out of no where with a small amount of people infected and killing while becoming aggressive. We knew about the break out but was told to keep it hidden from the students since the goverment didnt want gifted or souls panicking. They were also scared that some might try to leave to check on their families. For now the goverment thought the academy's would be a safe place and thought they could keep running without issues and the students would find out the truth when they get sent to a base once they pass their third year" Hanji explained with a small weak smile and pushed her glasses up slightly.

"we have a right to know, what about our families we been left to think are living ok thanks to us being accepted into the school and letting the small amount of money for us joining being sent to them to keep them alive" Armin frowned and glared at the nurse.

"Families of gifted and Souls who are in academy's and families off important people were sent to hidden safe camps when the sickness first broke out. The safe camps are known by some and well they send soldiers or volunteers out to take care of the sick while bringing back non infected humans back to camp to keep them safe. Its been slow but we been able to save many during these harsh times but I'm sure your families are safe, they were taken first meaning most never even safe someone who was infected, they only saw those who were brought to the camp later on during this sickness" Mikasa replied giving the others slight hope.

"If safe camps have been made, then that means others are fighting back and keeping people safe from the same sickness fate. But how did it get into our academy, its meant to be safe" Marco asked with a small smile as he looked to mikasa who turned to Moblit.

"We dont know, we know to catch the sickness you have to come in contract with someone who already got it or share a fluid with one. The student who was shot tonight was four days gone, so four days ago she met someone who was infected. Its unclear how the infected came in since no one is allowed to leave or enter without permission and even the guards are stuck on either side of the fence they patrolling on. We know some teachers or students sneak out but with the extra protecting over these two months no one should be able to sneak in or out without someone seeing" Moblit sighed making the others worry a little more at the unknown info on how the sickness got in.

"What now, if the sickness got into school then no one safe anymore. We dont even know if she passed it on during the time before she was placed in the nurse room .. wait could we be infected now" Eren spoke in a panic.

"No we safe becuase this isn't the nurse room they used .. look at the beds they untouched and Moblit ran straight to the where Mikasa shot the student meaning he was using small one bed nurse room that used for the really sick students" Farlan mumbled and Hanji nodded letting the others know they were safe.

"So, what now ... I'm sure the goverment not just going to take the risk of sending us to another academy in case we are already infected and pass it on to other gifted or souls" Jean grumbled as he crossed his arms.

"The school is closing, they were planning on doing it tomorrow. They going to check every student over and those who dont seem sick will be put in a holding room for a couple days before checked again to make sure they not sick. If they still not sick then they be sent to an old base where they be kept on being trained" Moblit replied.

"and those who are sick, A gifted and soul need each other to continue being trained" Isabel asked slightly scared of the answer.

"those already sick will be shot and those who lose a gifted or soul will be left behind to live back in the world without protection. But I dont expect a huge number to be living by tomorrow night, Gifted and souls are worth a lot in the goverment eyes but they willing to kill many just to protect the other academy's" Hanji warned and the students looked to the floor.

"That not the worse part, is it" Levi asked as he looked to mikasa who nodded.

"A soul can become infected just like a gifted can. This sickness even infects them and well if one out of the two catches it then the other will slowly be drained of life once the other is fully sick and killing. Its not a pleasant death and well some of the sick go straight after souls knowing the gifted would lose power and slowly be drained of their own life. No one knows why a soul are able to be sick since they normally stop them and their gifted from ever getting ill even by a cold but now its like they at high risk by it" Mikasa mumbled and the others stood in shock.

"So, we now what's going on but I'm still confused but why she here" Isabel sighed as she looked to mikasa. 

"It seems your already a soldier but Farlan called you his twin sister. We didnt even know he had any family but why become a soldier instead of living a steady life with the money the goverment would send to his love ones" Eren asked and Mikasa rolled his eyes.

"Mikasa doesn't agree with becoming a goverment slave and well as a soldier she works her own style. She knew she wouldnt be able to live a fake life here in an academy" Farlan smiled and placed a hand on his sister shoulder while she gave a small nod.

"Ok, so you sister likes to go solo but why didnt you ever tell us about her" Marco replied crossing his arms.

"yeah why not tell us about you hot sister, she a fucking babe" Jena whispered yelled earning farlan to glare at him. 

"Its complicated" Mikasa sighed. 

"why are you here now, its clear your been keeping the safe camps safe and taking care of those who become sick. But why were you here tonight" Armin asked unsure.

"Farlan called me, we keep in secret touch and he had a feeling the sickness might have reached the academy. I'm here to get you lot to the safe camp while keeping you alive .. even you two teachers" Mikasa explained and the others looked stunned.

"even us" Moblit yelled.

"yes but I already know someone will die and one will betray us in this group" Mikasa frowned making the others stand confused. 

"Lets just go back to our rooms and get a goodnight sleep before packing" Farlan smiled sweetly.

"No, go pack a backpack now .. we need to leave before morning comes and the army shows up" Mikasa ordered and Farlan just nodded before they all walked to the dorm rooms. 

Mikasa waited in the hallway, leaning on the wall while looking out the window that stood opposite her. She watched as the stars sparkled and glanced when a door open showing Levi. She watched as he walked over with his backpack already on his back and simple clothes making him not stand out like the unifrom would. He soon leaned against the wall beside her and just looked out the window not speaking a word. 

"What hidden under your jumpsuit waste" Levi asked glancing to her.

"Nothing, my belt is just around my waste on the outside, it holds the tools I will need" Mikasa replied without a care.

"Yes your belt holds pouches and a knife but something under your belt is giving slight padding" Levi sighed.

"Its a scarf, one I do not wish to be ruined during such times, So i wrap it around my waste and the belt keeps it in place. Plus such a scarf is against the unifrom, can it easily be seen" Mikasa frowned and turned her head fully to look at Levi.

"Not really but you kept putting your hand on your hip but gently like you didnt want to rip something" Levi smirked making her look at him surprised.

"You truly do have keen eyes" Mikasa mutter before pushing away from the wall as the others doors soon opened.
