Roshni

I woke up as the morning sun rays fall on my face. I stretched my body but realized I was the unable to do that. I open my eyes to find myself still wearing my bridal dress. God my body hurts but I remember I was sitting last night in the middle of the bed then how did I lied on this corner.

Whatever it is my whole body hurts. Hey Kanha why is this dress so heavy I feel like thousand kg weight is present on my body. I sat back massaging my neck. What is going to happen next?

I heard the door opening and found Anav ji coming out with some files in his hands. Is he having an office in his room also. He is definitely a workaholic. 

"Mumma asked you to wear that saree", He said pointing to a saree lying on the coffee table. Is it also heavy. I would die with this much weight. Thank God I brought the Pain Relief Spray with me.

He was about to leave when I called him.

"Suniye", I called and he turned to me.

"Where is the bathroom?", I asked him while picking up the saree lying on the table. It is heavy! Kanha give me strength. He pointed towards a door which is the bathroom I guess. I nodded before taking the towel and taking a relaxing warm bath and applying the spray on my sour muscles. I came outside while still drying my hair. Sometimes I feel I should trim my hair a bit. They are too difficult to handle and without oil they are really a disaster.

I can't even tie my hair because they are wet. I wouldn't have washed them if those makeup artists wouldn't have used so many products on them. I sighed before combing them and getting ready. 

"How am I going to put this now", I said while looking at the vermilion container. I tried to put it but it fall on my nose. I don't even know how much should I put. I am acting stupid now but I don't know what to do.

"Are you ready", Anav ji asked as he entered inside. 

"I don't know how to put this", I told him while pointing at the vermilion container. He sighed before coming towards me and taking a pinch on it and filling it in my hair partition. 

"How much should I take?", I asked him.

"I will do it. Don't worry about it but mumma is calling you downstairs", He told me.

"I am so sorry. I was not knowing to do that because I never did that before", I told him.

"You got married yesterday only how will you know how will you do it before then?", He told me.

"Point", I mumbled while going outside. It is going to be a long day as well. 

All the further rituals take place and he won every single on again. I was feeling so lonely. I wished Saachi was here with me. My baby! Anav ji was not even looking at me. Not that I was complaining I was more than happy. His eyes on me make me feel weak. What is wrong with you Roshni stop acting like a shy bride? But what should I do I am really a shy bride.

"Show me your henna bhabhi", Aadya asked me as she sat beside me.

"Show na", she said as she took my hands in her hand. 

"Wow bhabhi it is so dark and beautiful. Did bhai found his name in it", she asked me. Is there any ritual like that? Why I am not knowing about it?

Because I was sleeping peacefully for 12 hours after all my cousins wedding not really attending this part except for bhaiya's wedding but it was years ago. I forgot about it.

"I forgot this ritual", Aunty said as she made me sit opposite to Anav Ji.

When Anav Ji took my hand in his they were so cold making me shiver. Was he holding ice before coming here. 

He was trying his best to find his name in my hands but was unable to find it. At last he would loose one game this is good. I mentally thanked the henna aunty. She did a pretty good work I must say.

"It's good that he lost one game. I have never heard the groom or bride winning all these rituals.", An old aunty said while checking her Manicure.

"Got it", Anav Ji said as he found his name. Very nice. Not even a single win. How stupid you are Roshni? How idiot?

"This means Anav is going to rule on Roshni throughout his life", That aunty again said as I looked ahead to find Anav ji smirking at me. I looked downwards immediately. It's just a game why everyone is making such a big issue. 

"Mumma when are we going to the temple", Aadya asked Aradhana aunty.

"In an hour", She responded and went inside.

"But I was having office", Anav ji said. I always used this dialogue when I didn't want to miss my school.

"No office today. It's first day of your marriage and you are leaving your beautiful wife alone", An uncle ji said while licking his lips. Uncle ji if you have met me on road I would have cut your tongue and scoop out your eyes without thinking twice. Don't take advantage of my calm self. 

Control Roshni. I stook behind Anav ji to prevent his dirty eyes on me. Your daughter would be of my age you old fool. Have some shame. I felt Anav Ji's arm wrapping around my waist.

Is he thinking I am scared of this disgusting creature? If he knew me well than he would be doing this to stop from choking this man to death.

"Chacha ji I know very well what should I do and what I shouldn't. If you look at my wife this way again I won't leave you like papa did. Anav Khurana is known for his revenge. Don't come in my target list I would destroy you", He said looking calmly at Dear Chacha ji who gulped and went outside.

"You take rest for a while. The day is going to be tiring for you", He told me. I nodded before going upstairs. He spoke with me after like 1000 years. After all chacha ji did something good. Kanha you can decrease his punishment a bit in hell. He did a good work though unintentionally. I need sleep. Sleep is love. And I feel like I would fall if I didn't got it.

I went inside and jumped on the bed with the same saree trying my best not to ruin it. I am hungry also. But aunty said I need to keep a fast today. Roshni baby sleep you need it. It is the best way to pass your time. I told myself and tried to forget about food.

Ma used to run behind me to make me eat my food and here I have to keep a fast for god knows what reason. I miss everyone but I will meet them tomorrow so No problem.

Thinking about these things I fall into deep sleep. 

"Roshni", I heard somebody calling but I turned around trying to prevent that voice to reach my ear.

"Roshni get up", I again heard making me whine.

"I just fall asleep", I said in a whiny voice.

"I know sleep in the car then", he told me making me get up at last rubbing my eyes. 

"Get freshen up we are leaving in fifteen minutes", Anav ji said as he went outside. 

15 minutes it will take 10 minutes for me to wash my face and combing my face. I can sleep for 5 minutes. No no Roshni first impression is the last impression don't depict yourself to be lazy.

I got ready immediately and we left for the temple which mind you was the most boring trip of my life because I got married to the most boring person in the world, Anav Khurana. I never stayed silent for this long I can even talk to myself right now. I want to hear my voice which I didn't hear from two hours. No music in the car just he being on his phone talking to his employee I guess shouting instructions on them.

God why I married this man.  Can't he talk in a normal tone. He didn't even talk to me. I thanked god that he was not talking to me otherwise he would start shouting at me as well. Who knows can throw me out of the car thinking how stupid I am?

"Roshni", I heard him calling me. I turned to him immediately to find him driving safely looking ahead.

"Ji", I responded.

"You forgot your phone in room", He told me while passing it to me. Oh god why I always forget my phone. This is really a very irritating habit of mine. I thanked him knowing very well I am going to do the same in the future as well. I was really happy to see that the temple was of Radha- Krishna my favorite idol. We prayed for a while and I was all time buttering kanha to give Anav Ji a little bit of patience with me. He do have anger issues I realized and I know a person do not have control on what they are doing in their anger.

We soon reached home. I feel so lonely here. I can't even talk to anyone. I want to meet my family this house is so boring. Always work work and work. Don't they enjoy a little.

"Come on eat something. Let them go. Roshni come on have something", Aunty said as she took me with her. I am hungry very hungry. I need food.

"Mumma I am also hungry", Aadya told her.

"She has not eaten anything from last night only. Still not saying anything. And you just had your food 3 hours back", Aunty told me as she started feeding me with her hands. I miss my mother right now. She used to feed me like this whenever I act stubborn on not having my food.

"What about me mumma?", Shraddha bhabhi asked.

"Arjun woke up", Aunty said and bhabhi ran upstairs making me smile.

"When is pagphera ceremony taking place?", Anav ji asked. Yeah! I am going to meet my family.

"You have to drop her at her parent's house tomorrow then stay with her whole day there. At evening return back", Aunty told him.

"When am I going to go to office?", He asked.

"Your plan of having kids with your files is destroyed now so stop worrying", Aunty replied making me choke on my food and everyone started laughing loudly. 

"Very funny", Anav ji said making an irritated face.

"Come on bhai it was funny. You need to have a bit of sense of humor", Aadya told him.

"I don't want to loose my mind like you guys", He responded.

"Aunty please I can't eat more", I said as I tried to stop her from making me eat more.

"Ho Why are you calling me Aunty till now. Call me mumma otherwise I won't talk to you", She said.

"I am so sorry aun.... I mean mumma", I said having worry lines on my forehead.

"It's okay sweetheart. Go take some rest you must be tired", Mumma said.

"In evening there is going to be the reception you would get more tired", She said as I nodded.

"And you Aadya you need to stop sleeping this much", Mumma told me.

I was going upstairs when my phone started ringing which was mind you in Anav ji's pocket. He gave my phone to me. I was rather embarrassed though but looking at the caller id I smiled looking at the caller id.

"Namaste bhabhi", I said excitedly.

"How are you doing Laado. Here listen to your dear Saachi she is more excited to talk to you.", She asked me. I waited for a second than heard her voice.

"Bui how doin", She said in her babyish voice making me smile brightly.

"I am good what about you barbie doll", I asked her.

"Dood. Mish you", She said making me smile.

"I mish you too baby", I said. I can feel her pouting while trying to speak as usual.

"Take care of everyone for me okay baby", I told her.

"Yesh", She squealed making me laugh.

"She miss you a lot. I guess miss you the most among all of us. After you left last night she cried for god knows how long. At last she sleep.", She told me making me sigh.

"I miss her too bhabhi. Take care of her okay?", I asked her as she asked me to take care of me. I suddenly realized where I was talking so freely. In front of my in-laws how stupid?

"Bhabhi I will talk to you later", I told her in a small voice feeling myself getting redder every passing moment. Not knowing what to do.

"I will just go upstairs", I said as I literally ran upstairs. Way to embarrass yourself Roshni.
