Roshni

I can't just let them do what they want like this. But they were so many in number. I tried to push them away when they tried to touch me.

Anav Ji, please come soon. I need you.

"I am going to enjoy so much today", One man said looking at me with lust-filled eyes as I took some steps back trying to get away from these disgusting men. 

"You don't have to hide sweetheart", One tried to reach me when I shouted.

"Anav Ji", I shouted as I pushed his hands away.

"Nobody is going to save you from us today", A man said as they laughed evilly as I cried. Another man came towards me and tried to touch me when I slapped him.

"You bitch how dare you?", He shouted as he pulled my hair and slapped me tightly.

I pushed him away from me sobbing loudly. I felt so miserable I can't protect myself even when I am well trained in self-defense.

"Get away from there", I heard the voice I was dying to hear from so long. 

I sobbed as I ran towards him. But before I reach him a man in a black T-shirt caught my wrist.

"Leave my hand", I cried as I struggled in his grip. 

"Don't worry sweetheart Only one night will do to us. Your husband would not have any problem sharing you with us for one night right?", He asked Anav Ji.

"You know right what I can do to you all", Anav Ji asked them looking coldly at them.

"Come on dude it's only for one night", a red T-shirt guy said.

"I warned you", Anav Ji said as he pulled out his gun and point it towards them.

"Leave my wife's hand right now", He warned them and this time they left her. I ran in his arms as soon as they left her hand.

"Don't look up okay", He told me pulling me close to his heart. I heard three gunshots and loud screams making my hold on his shirt tightening.

"Take this guy with you. I will see to him later", I heard him saying. I looked up a bit to see the black T-shirt who hold her hand and was talking dirty about me being dragged out by some of Anav Ji's men.

 I shivered thinking about what could have happened if her husband didn't reach her soon. Fresh tears started falling down my cheeks and I sobbed hugging him tightly. Every single dirty word they threw at me and every time they tried to touch me. Every single picture came into my mind making me sob louder. The fear of being touched by those man made me hold him more tightly.

"I would be waiting in the car", I heard another voice which maybe belonged to Adhyansh Bhai.

"Shh Shh Calm down", I felt his hand caressing her back trying to calm. He tried to pull back but my hold tightened around him.

"Don't leave me, please. They would come again", I sobbed not wanting to let him go.

"Nobody would dare to touch you", He told me. He placed a kiss on the crown of my head.

"They touched me Anav Ji", I sobbed in his chest.

"I would make them regret it", He told me holding me tightly in his arm.

"They made me impure", I told him shaking my head as he pulled back looking at my face intently.

"They didn't", He told me wiping my tears.

"They did", I cried.

"You are not going to cry. Not even a single tear", He warned as I sobbed silently. He sighed before pulling me in his arms again.

"Nothing happened Roshni. I came on time. They would pay for what they did or even thought to do", He said caressing my head. He picked me up in his arms as I hid my face in his neck and started walking out of this hell.

"Aadya?", I asked him.

"She is fine because of you", He said as he sat in the car with me in his lap. He caressed my back pulling me close to him. I hate him for what he said. I wanted to push him away but had no energy to do so. I felt the darkness surrounding me as I fall asleep.

I woke up to a sudden movement and saw Anav Ji putting me in bed. He was about to leave. I don't want to stay alone right now. What if they came again? Tears started forming in my eyes again as I hold his wrist silently pleading him to not leave me alone.

"I am not going anywhere Roshni, calm down", He told me pulling me close to his chest and looked back. I don't know where I just wanted someone near me. He started caressing my back again and soon I fall asleep.

Roshni was silent more than she ever was. Anav was worried about her silent behavior. He tried to talk to her, reach her, or even make her react to something but to no avail it was like she accepted her solitude. As if she had accepted all the hatred thrown on her side. Anav broke her that day with his words. Even though he saved her virtue but something inside her was already broken. 

Anav's mother tried to uplift her mood thinking it was all because of the events that happened with her while saving Aadya but that was not the case. Anav didn't even think for a second of the reason behind her weird behavior. 

She was sitting in the garden looking blankly at the fountain. She was observing the water falling down silently. No reaction nothing at all. It was not how she was. She would be smiling though her eyes were always filled with the hope of a better future. But right now everything was cold. No feelings, no warmth nothing which resembled the old Roshni. She stopped hoping for a better future. She was getting what she deserved. She somehow accepted that she deserved all the hatred thrown in her way.

Two days ago she was hoping her Anav Ji would change and maybe she would have a happy life with him. She never really expected him to love her. She only wanted him to respect her for what she was. But guess what she didn't even deserve that. She laughed at her ill fate as tears fall down her cheek. She wiped them harshly looking at the ground. 

She closed her eyes as she asked herself the first question which came into her mind.

Would she ever be able to forget this?

The answer was 'No'. She won't ever be able to forgive all these things. If it was up to her she would have left him long back but she knew even if she went back home, she would be hated more than she was hated by Anav. She would be taunted and she certainly was not ready to take that. 

"Bhabhi", She heard Aadya as she turned to her.

"You okay", Aadya asked her. Roshni was asking herself the same question for a long time. Was she okay? Was she okay with all the hatred? Was she okay with all the disgusting looks given to her? Was she okay with this much sadness in her life? Of course, she was not but she couldn't really do anything about it.

When Aadya didn't get a reaction from her she sighed. She looked back to find Anav looking at her expectantly. She shook her head and stood up to go inside. If Roshni wanted to be alone she won't disturb her.

Anav looked at his wife who looked so lost. He took a deep breath before going outside.

"Roshni you didn't prepare breakfast today?", He asked her. He knew she did prepare it but was not going to say that. He wanted to hear her voice. His ears were yearning to hear her soft voice. Her chirping and arguing with him all the time. 

No response.

"I am asking you something Roshni", He asked her in a hard tone. She shook her head in denial. If he wanted to shout at her he can do that. He looked at her with a blank face while she looked down.

"Aren't you going to join my company", He asked after a few moments. She nodded.

"We are going shopping. Get ready", He told her. She shook her head. His words were still revolving in her mind.

If you would have been a little careful. If you would have not behaved like a gold digger the first day you got the chance. If you would have controlled yourself a bit to use my money then this won't have happened.

"Are you denying", He asked her taking a step towards her. She didn't think twice before going inside leaving him totally shocked. He was teasing her. He never expected her to behave like this.

"Roshni", He called back but she didn't turn to him and went to their room and locked the door. He went behind her and started knocking on the door.

"Roshni what the hell? Open the door", He shouted but she didn't come out. After 15 minutes she came out with her trolley bag.

"Where are you going?", He asked her looking at the trolley bag. She didn't answer him and tried to push past him. He held her delicate shoulders in a tight grip forcing her to look in his eyes. She kept looking in his eyes. He was shocked to see her eyes were lifeless. He left her shoulders in shock. He didn't look straight in her eyes after that incident. It was like she was not the Roshni he married.

She took her bag and went downstairs. He was too shocked to react for a while. But when he realized what was actually happening he followed her downstairs.

"Where are you going Roshni?", He asked walking down the stairs. Till then his mother was there as well.

"What is going on?", She asked. Roshni turned to her and touched her feet.

"I want to meet my parents Mumma", She said in a soft voice. 

 "You can't go like this. And how are you even going there?", Anav asked her when his mother showed him his hand to stop.

"Roshni, How are you going there?", She asked him.

"I booked a cab", Roshni told her. She nodded. She did notice the roughness in her voice. She cried for a long time. She needs to have a change in her environment.

"Alright, you can go. Call me as soon as you reach there", She told Roshni.

"She is not going in any cab", Anav said.

"Then drop her", His mother told him casually. Roshni didn't say anything. He took her phone and canceled the cab. He took her bag and went outside while Roshni followed him.

He placed her bag in the back seat and sat in the driver's seat closing the door with a loud bang. Roshni came out after 5 minutes and silently sat beside him wearing the seat belt looking blankly ahead. He looked at her before gritting his teeth. He started the car. He was looking at her after every few minutes but she was busy looking outside.

He stopped the car in a deserted place. She looked around trying to know if she had been here before.

"What is wrong Roshni?", He asked her but she didn't say anything. It's not like he does care. He looked at her for a minute but she didn't respond. He gritted his teeth and started the car again. His knuckles turning white with his tight grip on the steering wheel. 

Soon they reached her place before she could get out of the car he locked the door.

"You are not going anywhere before you tell me what is your problem?", He told her as she looked at him with a blank face with no expression and warmth.

Hello readers. A new update for you guys. Probably the only chapter I wrote in two weeks. I am really busy nowadays so there would be late updates.
