Her Innocence and A Glance at His Dark Past
Finishing his breakfast he headed towards his car while the driver rushed forward, opening the car's door for him.
Settling himself comfortably on the seat, he started going through some important files while old memories started resurfacing in his mind once again.
No matter how much he try, but they always found a way to come back.
Flashback :
A seven year old cute boy came sprinting through the front door heading to his father's room, wanting to ask him a question while his father was busy doing something on his laptop.
Seeing his son running around in his direction, the middle aged man picked him up, settling him on his lap.
"Hey champ! Why are you in such a hurry hmm? And why you came back so early today? Usually you play for a long time na?" Asked the man curiously.
"Yaa.. But I needed to ask you a question dad."
"And what that may be?"
A brow raised in question.
"What's an angel Papa?"
Listening his question, his father chuckled a bit and asked, "why do you want to know about it and whom do you heard it from?"
Seeing his father not answering his question little Sanskar got impatient.
"Please dad. Answer me na. Pretty please" said the small boy pouting.
Seeing his son's adorable pouty face his dad smiled lightly and answered.
"Son, an angel is the one who lightens your life with her kindness and purity. No matter what her physical appearance is. For you, she will be the most beautiful one. She will heal all your wounds with the beautiful smile of hers. She makes you feel complete. She is an angel not because she will chase away all your problems. She is, just because, an angel is the only one who can silence the demons of a devil.
You know, your mother is my angel. She showed me the meaning of true happiness and I can gladly say that she is my topmost priority . She is the one for whom I will die for, in a heartbeat."
"That means I am not important for you?" asked an angry Sanskar with his arms crossed over his chest and eyebrows furrowed giving him a much more adorable look.
The older man melted looking at his face.
Giving a tiny kiss on his forehead he said - "Of course you are. You and your mom are my everything."
"When will I get my angel papa"? asked the curious little boy eager to meet his angel.
"Well, she will enter your life when you will least expect it."
Hearing this, the seven year old child frowned a bit.
"Can't I have my angel earlier?" He questioned.
His dad shook his head at his antics.
"You cannot change your fate my child. But promise me son that you will take care of her and will never hurt her. Because it will be very hard to live with the guilt."
"I promise dad. I promise" replied an excited Sanskar thinking about his angel.
Flashback Ends.
He came out of his thoughts when the car came to halt with a jerk.
Wearing an expressionless mask once again, he started walking towards his cabin giving a stiff nod as a reply to the employees who greeted him on his way.
This is how his life is.
Waking up early. Having breakfast then office till late and home again.
Nothing less nothing more.
And this is exactly how he likes it.
He doesn't have a room for anything or anyone else in his life.
Returning back at his manor late at night after a tiresome day, he ate his dinner alone like everyday, heading straight to his bed and sleep occupied him in an instant.
The picture of his dad's body hanging on the fan with a rope around his neck rushed back to his mind and he woke up in a flash.
"You were wrong dad. You were wrong" he whispered while sweating form the nightmare before falling asleep for the second time.
*****////////
A quite good looking man in his late 20s was looking behind the sofa in the living room of his mansion.
On failing to find whatever he intended to, his eyes roamed all over the room once again searching for something or someone specifically.
Admitting his defeat, he slouched down on one of the couches.
Exhausted, he closed his eyes.
Witnessing this, someone tip-toed towards him carefully to avoid making any sound, failing considerably in doing so.
Hearing footsteps heading towards him, a small smile makes her way on his face but he composed himself and pretended to be asleep.
When the said person was a few centimeters away from him he stood up all of a sudden screaming "Bhooo".
Not expecting this the later one got scared herself and jumped being afraid covering her face with her small hands to shield herself.
Seeing her like this the former one burst out laughing. Hearing sounds of laughter she peaked out behind her hands seeing it was not a ghost but her brother himself who just frightened her.
She calmed down a bit still teary eyed.
She can't help it.
It's her nature.
She gets scared easily and then panic.
The man stopped laughing once his gaze fell on her gloomy face.
Guilt overtook him and he felt bad for scaring her.
Engulfing her in a hug immediately he started whispering sorry over and over again.
"I'm sorry princess. Please forgive your Aru. You know na I am an idiot" said he holding his ears.
She giggled looking at him.
No matter what, she cannot be angry with him for long. After all they are brother and sister and she know for a fact that her brother will never hurt her intentionally.
"It's okay" said she. "But don't do it again" she said once again pouting.
"Promise"? She asked and he nodded.
"Pinky swear" he promised and smiled warmly at her.
Arjun Suryavanshi - CEO of one of the top companies in India named Suryavanshi and Co. 27 years old, he is a very good looking man who can be very intimidating but loves his sister a lot. Cannot see tears in her eyes and overprotective of her because he knows she is sensitive by nature and unaware of the dangers that lies in the outside world.
"Now doll, pick up your bag fast. I don't want my baby sister to be late on her first day itself.
"Okay" She said nervously and both of them headed towards her college in car.
After driving for nearly 35 minutes, the duo finally arrived at their destination and Arjun parked his car in the college's parking lot.
"Don't be nervous ginu. I know my sister is very brave. You will be fine. Try to make new friends and stay away from bad people okay?
"Hmm"
Came back a meek reply.
He sighed.
"Well, I was thinking to get ice-cream when I come home tonight. What do think hmm? How does that sound"?
Her ears perked up at the words and she nodded excitedly.
"I will get chocolate ice-cream, that's my favorite" She said happily.
"Okay. Okay". Her brother chuckled.
"But first you have to attend your college. Now hurry up slowpoke".
She huffed but came out of the car and started heading towards her college after waving goodbye to her brother.
STANFORD COLLEGE OF COMMERCE AND TECHNOLOGY
was written in big bold letters.
She gulped seeing it. Wondering how she got so lucky to get admission in such a prestigious institution.
Her brother's words flooded back to her mind.
Calming her nerves she headed inside seeing all types of crowds of students from nerds to populars to snobby rich kids, bad boys and couples on the way.
Surely, she wanted to make friends but how will she know if a person is good or bad.
Moreover her social anxiety always gets in her way of making friends. She is too shy to approach them let alone talk to them. This is what happens when you are home schooled your entire school life shielded from outside world and now all of a sudden you are stepping inside college not knowing how to communicate with people without being awkward. Not that she is angry with her bhai and dad for that. She knows they did that with the purpose of protecting her. Moreover she can't always hide. One day or other she would have to face people so why not today.
Thinking all this in her mind and mustering up enough courage, she walked to the window pane of college administrative office for collecting her schedule.
"I'm on my own now" she said sighing all the while praying that her day will go on well.
