(Hellson’s PoV)

Pulling up to Seaview, which was a thirty minute drive from Seaside. We were now in Washington after crossing a bridge over into Long Beach (Ps.Real place).

I glanced over to Ryiad, who was looking out the window with fascination, as we drove onto the beach. There was still three more hours until the sun set, and then we could watch that, but right now I was trying to get over to Berrits Hallow without getting my car stuck in the sand.

“Shouldn’t you put it into four wheel drive?” Ryiad pointed out, “It would be less stress on your car.”

I blinked then chuckled nodding, “Yeah I should.”

“And if we have to we can always air out the tires.” Ryiad smiled up at me.

“Yep, so how do you know so much about cars.”

“It’s common knowledge.” He shrugged, “Didn’t you know this?”

“Nope.”I shrugged, but really I didn’t know. Even though I’ve lived by the beach for so long, it never really interesting me in going out to the sound.

“You’re weird, I like beaches.” Ryiad smiled, “We should’ve taken my jeep.”

“Why?”

“Because then we could’ve rock climbed with it.” He grinned.

“You’re crazy.”

“Am not. You just don’t know fun.” My mate stuck out his tongue, I smirked keeping my eyes on the sand.

“You might not want to do that.” I told him.

“Why?”

“Because I might bite it.”

“What if I want you to bite it.” He winked at me then looked out of the window enjoying the view which I was glad he did.

My car did better in the sand after putting it into four wheel drive, honestly I never really knew that you could do that for sand as well as snow.

When we finally arrived at our destination.

I parked up a little further on the dry sand, and got out. Ryiad took off his shoes, and rolled up his black skinny jeans that he was wearing. He was also wearing a white v-neck too.

My mate looked adorable, like always.

I walked around the car and popped up the back. I pulled out two lounge chairs and set them out then I pulled out some fire wood which I set on the chairs so the sand wouldn’t get on the wood.

Before I said anything Ryiad had dug a deepish hole so that we could tent the wood together and put the kindle underneath with some paper towels so that it could burn.

“Give me to kindle, Hell.” He smiled putting his hands out.

“I was going to light the fire.” I pouted.

“Fine set it up and I’ll light the flames.” He smiled as a flicker of excitement passed through his eyes.

“Do we have a little pyromaniac?”I chuckled.

“Perhaps.” He said teasingly, “Now put up the wood man.”

“I’m sure I can.” I said suggestively. “Specially in the morning.”

Ryiad looked up at me and giggled, “I’m done with this conversation.”

I rolled my eyes and set up the firewood. “ Ryiad come light the fire.”

My mate walked over to the wood and put his hand in the middle of it. It suddenly lit up in flames, Ryiad smiled at it.

“You can use magic?” I asked curiously.

“Um yeah.” He smiled at me. “I’m Half- magi, Half-shifter.”

“You dad is a shifter though.”

“Um, I know. But my mother was the Witch.” He told me and sat back in the sand, “Did you bring any marshmallows.”

“Duh.” I smirked pulling out a bag with marshmallows, reese's chocolate, hersheys chocolate and graham crackers.

“Mmm chocolate.” he grabbed a bar of hershey's and unwrapped it and started nibbling on it.

I stared at him.

“Really?” I chuckled.

“Yes really.” He grinned, “ I always eat a chocolate bar first then I’ll make a smarshmelly.”

“Smarshmelly?” I raised an eyebrow and he nodded his head licking his lips as he stared down at his chocolate. I dug my fingers into the sand as we just sat in the sand instead of grabbing the chairs I had brought. The sand was still warm from the sun today.

“So, What’s your favourite color?” Ryiad looked up at me.

“Um, my favourite color has always been blue, a vibrant royal blue,” I smiled, “What about yours?”

“I like Purple, and white.” He paused, “Um, what’s your favorite animal?”

“I like turtles.”

“Really?”

“Yep, I like most sea creatures, but those are my favorite.” I looked over to him, I noticed some of his hair had fallen out of his fishtail braid. It was still cute though.

“I like snakes.”Ryiad told me looking up at me with his dark mid-night blue eyes, “Because they’re really cool.”

“I’m sure they are, but I don’t want one as a pet.”

“Then you don’t have to touch the thing I will.” He blushed, “I mean uh...”

“It’s okay, I hope we can go that far.” I told him calmly then put a smarshmelly as Ryiad says on a stick and put it into the fire.

“I want one now, can you make me one?” He looked up at me with adorable puppy eyes, I sighed and nodded.

“Yeah this on will be yours, get out the crackers.”

Ryiad nodded.

When we both had our fill of sweets, Ryiad jumped up then sprinted toward the waves. I followed quickly after him, he stopped at the waters edge and looked out to see the blue horizon. It was very beautiful as the sun was coming down.

“Don’t go in, too much.” I told him wrapping my arms around his waist from behind. “The tide it is going out.”

“How do you know?” Ryiad asked curiously, “You’ve never been to a beach have you?”

“No I have, I just have never driven on one, usually my older brother does with his husband in the front with him.”

“You have an older brother?”

“Yeah, his name is Vladimir.”

“Like Vladimir Todd?” He smiled up at me, tilting his head up slightly.

“Who?”

“Whaaaat! You don’t know, next you’re going to be telling me that you don’t know anything about <Doctor Who> !”

“Psh, doesn’t everyone know about doctor who by now? It’s like this generations Naruto.” I chuckled, “I use to watch it when I was thirteen,”

“Isn’t that an anime?” He asked.

“Yep.”

“I liked bleach better.”

“Never watched that.” I told him as the sun disappeared.

“Really? That’s to bad. When we get our electricity working more, we’ll have to have an anime marathon.” Ryiad grinned, “Everyone invited, with popcorn with parmesan on top.”

“Parmesan?” I raised an eyebrow.

“Yes, the most yemmiest thing in the world, well... Second to pizza..Oh that sounds good.” He pulled away and looked up at my metallic violet eyes. “Can we have pizza?”

“I was going to bring you to a place called Chico’s Pizza Parlor.” I told him.

“Yay!” Ryiad jumped up and down like an adorable puppy. He stopped and looked up at me, “Who’s your brother’s husband?”

“The Delta of our pack, I’m the Beta and my brother is just a Submissive Alpha.” I told him.

“That’s cute.” He shrugged then walked over to the fire and extinguished the flames. “Lets go get real food.”

“Sounds good.” I smiled.

When we both got into the car we headed to the pizza place, but halfway through the drive Ryiad pointed out that I forgot to turn off my four wheel drive and that it’s bad for your car.

“So what kind of pizza do you want?” I asked when we got into the pizza place around eight.

“I want pepperoni, no cheese.” He smiled.

“No cheese?” I stared at him like he was crazy.

“What it’s better and the sauce gets spicier from the pepperoni.” He told me.

“Okay.” I ordered and gave my mate his soda cup which he then took it and filled it up with mountain dew. I got myself some Dr. Pepper.

The rest of the date went well and I drove Ryiad home. I walked him up to his mansion/house.

“Thanks for the date.” Ryiad smiled up at me.

“I’d love to take you out again some time.” I told him, and started to lean in for a kiss, but he pulled back.

I pouted again.

“Nope.” He giggled and kissed my cheek, “No lips until i say.” He winked at me then walked inside.

I sighed as the door shut.

My mate was something else, and Kahver agreed that our shifter was something else as well.
