Hoseok was kind of nervous as he waited out side the door. Jungkook has a habit of losing his head when he's angry and spitting out utter bullshit as a result. And anyway, Yugyeom is kind of an touchy subject for the prince although that idiotic guard is totally oblivious to the reason.

Hoseok just hopes that the young guard doesn't do anything stupid this time. He was standing there for about 5 minutes when Jungkook came out of the room.

The guard looked horrified, disturbed and even ashamed. One look at the younger's face was all Hoseok needed to know that something terrible has happened.

"Jungkook, you fool, what did you do?" Hoseok whispered in a concerned voice.

Jungkook looked at the captain for a second. The fact that the captain immediately thought that Jungkook was to blame, was a disheartening for the younger. He couldn't look at the dissappointed face of his captain and ran off without another word.

"Jungkook!!" Hoseok whisper yelled in concern but couldn't go after the younger as the crown prince was still inside.

Taehyung dropped to a chair when the younger left the room. He was so angry but he was hurt even more. How could Jungkook have thought about him like that.

True, he always yearned to touch the younger guard but he always thought that the feeling were mutual. I mean, was he forcing the guard? Did he unknowingly used his power as the crown prince to make Jungkook do things he didn't want to do?

Those thoughts were much more powerful than the anger he felt and soon he was all consumed by the dreadful fear that the guard may have not regarded him with the same feeling that he did.

Hoseok looked up in concern when the prince came out of the room. He wanted to talk with the prince but he held his tongue as it was not his place. They walked back to the prince's living quarters in silence.

Once they reached there, Taehyung dismissed Hoseok saying that he does not want a guard for the rest of the day. Hoseok went after giving a respectful bow, thinking about finding that idiotic guard.

Jungkook was ashamed of himself. He didn't know what made him say such a thing. Although the prince was rough with him, he actually liked it very much. He loved the way the prince manhandle him.

He was just so angry at the prince's untrue accusation of his best friend. Yugyeom thought of him as a brother right? There was no way he would have flirted with Jungkook. The prince was so wrong to do that, wasn't he?

Even though Jungkook didn't think for a moment that Yugyeom would have romantic feelings about him, he just couldn't get rid of the thought 'what if'.

He picks up his phone and dialled Yugyeom's number and the call was answered immediately.

"Hello."

Jungkook supressed a scoff as it was the first time ever that Yugyeom answered the phone in a normal way. Why didn't he do that last time?

"Gyeomie, I want to talk about something. Can I come meet you now?"

"Sure, you can come now."

"Ok."

"See you."

Jungkook went to the university and Yugyeom was waiting for him. Although he said he wanted to talk, Jungkook didn't know how to start the conversation. You can't outright ask your friend whether he has feelings for you right.

Luckily, Yugyeom took the lead.

"Hey koo, I'm sorry about the phone call. I hope I didn't get you in to any trouble by that?" Yugyeom said with a genuine worry.

Just then, Jungkook thought of a perfect way to know what he wanted to know.

"Well, you kind of did, you idiot!! Everyone has been.. uhh... bugging me saying that you were flirting with me." Jungkook replied, masking his nervousness with a laugh.

Yugyeom was shocked and didn't answer. As the silence dragged on, Jungkook got more nervous.

"Relax. I was just messing with you. I told them there's nothing like that." Jungkook said as he gave another laugh.

Yugyeom didn't answer or laugh and just looked at the younger with an unreadable expression.

"Gyeomie.... there's nothing like that, right?" Jungkook was fidgeting with his fingers now.

"Koo.." Yugyeom looked even more nervous. "If it was, will it be a b-bad thing?"

Jungkook was stilled with shock and couldn't believe his ears.

"I've actually been meaning to talk to you about this but couldn't find the right time, Koo." Yugyeom said as he inched himself near the younger.

He gently held Jungkook's hand and caressed it with his thumb.

"We've knew each other since we were kids Koo. Even I'm not sure when I started to see you as more than a friend."

Yugyeom lifted Jungkook's hand to his mouth and gave a gentle kiss. The younger was too shocked to even stop him.

"I tried to make you see that but you did not get the hints at all." Yugyeom continued with a little chuckle. "And I guess I was too much of a coward to directly confront you with this. I was scared that I might lose your friendship. I- I don't think I would be able to handle that."

Yugyeom leaned closer to Jungkook's and gently cupped his face. His eyes were sparkling with hope where Jungkook just had a shocked look.

'No....This can't be happening.' Jungkook thought to himself. He watched in dismay as his best friend leaned even closer to his face. He wanted to stop him but his body was not listening to his commands.

"So, what do you say, Koo? Shall we try this out?" Yugyeom whispered and leaned closer and kissed Jungkook.

The younger guard felt as if a current went through his body, but not a good kind. Yugyeom was gently moving his lips against his own but all Jungkook could think about was how different it felt from compared to the prince's rough and demanding lips.

He didn't want this at all. The only set of lips that he wanted to feel and taste was of prince Taehyung's. Jungkook regained his control with difficulty and pushed Yugyeom back.

To say that Yugyeom was surprised, was an understatement. He looked at his friend who was now breathing hard with a horrified and panicked look on his face.

"Koo, I-" Yugyeom started to speak but Jungkook cut him off.

"I have a boyfriend!!" Jungkook almost yelled. "And I love him!"

"Oh.." Yugyeom was looking mortified but Jungkook didn't really saw that.

He was too shocked with his own admission. 'I love him.' Jungkook thought again. He had never admitted his feelings like that, hell he didn't even knew he felt that way about the prince.

Sure, they have fun together and Jungkook like being with the prince, but love!! He finally realized how important the prince actually is to him.

He looked at his best friend who had his face lowered.

"Hey.." Jungkook gently touched Yugyeom's shoulders. "I'm so sorry Gyeomie.. I had no clue you felt that way. I-I always thought of you as my own b-brother. I'm so so sorry Gyeomie.." Jungkook said as a tear fell from his eye due to his best friend's heartache.

Yugyeom gave a soft smile and ruffled the younger's hair. "Why are you sorry for, you fool? It's not your fault. And I'm sorry for kissing you like that.  I think I just assumed your silence as your consent. Guess you were just shocked."

"Yeah, I was shocked alright. Oh... Gyeomie... I don't want to lose you as a friend. Please tell me I won't lose you as a friend over this. I'm sorry that I can't return your feelings. I just love him so much." The younger guard was in tears by now.

"And he's a lucky man. I'm happy for you, Koo. And of course you won't. You're my best friend and you will always be my best friend." Jungkook gave a reassuring hug to the younger man.

They bid their good byes after few more minutes of talking.

Jungkook was in a hurry to get back to the palace. He will apologise even if had to beg on his knees this time and he will make sure to fix everything, whatever it takes.

Yugyeom watched as his best friend practically ran away. He had successfully stopped the tears when the younger was there but now it was flowing freely. He just lost the love of his life, the one he had loved as long as he can remember.

He sobbed and cried for a while before finally calming down a bit and then pulled out his phone. He waited for the call to get connected with grabbing the phone really tight, till he finally heard a voice from the other end.

"J-jinyoung?? C-can you c-came meet me n-now? I r-really need a f-friend."
