Yawning and stretching in bed Sia slowly opens her eyes, she can't feel a certain warmth she usually wakes up to. Eyeing the empty spot beside her with a disappointed expression she rolls over to the other side. "His pillow can compensate for him." Sia murmurs and hugs Sahirs pillow which smells of him. After mere two minutes she hits the pillow in frustration. "It is not the same." She sits up annoyed in the bed and stretches her sour muscles. "Hey, wait a second." She eyes her clothes and frowns while slowly taking down her arms.
She is surprised she slept in them, how can she not have changed? Her eyes widens in realization, she doesn't remember walking home. How did she get to the residence? He carried her, didn't he? She starts biting her nail while she runs the other hand in her messy hair and sighs.
Oh gosh, I must look like a disaster, Sia thinks for herself and quickens her steps to the washroom to remove her predicted smudged makeup from yesterdays business party. Slamming the door open she gives away a scream and turns around with a hand covering her eyes. "Sia!" Sahir says surprised and starts to laugh at her innocence.
Sia screamed due to two facts, one she didn't expect him in the washroom and two because he have nothing on him. "Why are you undressed without locking your door?" Sia scolds annoyed and Sahir laughs harder. "It is not funny!" Sahir keeps laughing holding his thighs.
"Sia just turn around, if you take a moment then you'll notice that I have a towel around my hips. Nothing to worry about." He manages to say after composing himself and Sia shakes her head.
"Do you see me go around with a bare chest?" She continues scolding him annoyed.
Upon hearing that Sahir smirks. "No, but I won't mind that." He says with a teasing voice.
Sia gives a sarcastic dry laugh. "Right, just shut up!" She yells at him.
Sahir breaks out in a chuckle again. "Okay sorry, but I just had a shower and was about to go to the room to change. I had unlocked the door to get out but then remembered to give some moisturizer on my handsome face and that's when you bolted in." Sia shakes her head at his fumbling explanation.
Sia puts her hands on her hips. "So in the end you planned to go around like that in our room?" She questions with a raised eyebrow.
Sahir nods, not that Sia can see. "Yes, well I forgot to bring my clothes and I am used to change in the closet." Sahir explains rather sweetly. "And I don't mind showing off my body which I have worked hard for." He adds and he is back to being cocky.
Sia shakes her head with a frown. "You can show off all you want but not in front of me." She warns rolling her eyes.
Sahir raises an eyebrow and a playful smile plays on his lips. "So I am allowed to show off in front of other ladies but not my wife?" He checks with her.
"Yes." Sia answers shortly.
"As you wish." Sahir declare with a shrug.
Sia realizes what he just actually meant. "What? No!" She snaps.
"What no?" Sahir acts dim.
"No other ladies." Sia says between gritted teeth.
"Why not?" Sahir acts surprised.
Sia rolls her eyes. "Because I said so." She snaps.
Sahir bites his lips to hold back a laughter. "Then at least give me the attention I deserve and let me go around with a bare chest, I mean I can understand if you're having a hard time to control yourself seeing me in just a towel." He tries to tick her off.
Sia turns around and shuts him up showing her palm. "Excuse me?" She says while crossing her arms in front of her chest. "Having a hard time to control myself? You know what you can go around undressed if you want I won't give a damn." she sneers rolling her eyes.
"So my presence and I won't affect you?" Sia shakes her head to Sahirs inquiry.
"No way." Sia confidently states with her head held up high.
Sahir smirks. "Let see about that." He takes a step towards Sia and her eyes widens.
"Okay no! Don't come near me." She takes a step back and holds up her hands in front of her as shields.
"Why?" Sahir questions innocently with a smug smile while he runs a hand through his perfectly wet hair.
"Sahir I am warning you." Sahir smirks while Sia points her finger at him while he takes another step towards her.
Sia turns around to escape but Sahir catches her wrist in time to pull her to him. Her back hits his chest and she can feel her dress get damped while her heart starts leaping in summersaults. Sahir holds her firmly between his arms while holding her hands down, he can feel his own heart start to beat loudly but he ignores that to focus on Sia.
Sia tries to wiggle out of his grip while he shakes his head amused. Trying to annoy her further he buries his head in the crock of her neck and inhales the fresh fragrance of jasmine. Sia isn't able to think straight and tilts her head with her senses on her hammering heart while Sahir gently plants a kiss on her shoulder. "Sahir!" Sia scolds trying her best to not give away any emotions.
Sahir turns her around in a swift move and her hands are now resting on his bare chest while she stunned stares into his playful eyes. Sahir rests his hands on her back. Noticing where her hands are placed she quickly removes them as if they're hot coil, her eyes wanders to his muscular frame with water droplets kissing his bare skin and Sia gulps at the tingling feelings forming in the pit of her stomach.
Sahir smirks seeing Sia uncomfortable and Sia does her best to tear away her gaze from him. "I thought I didn't have an effect on you? Why are you suddenly shuddering?" Sahir questions huskily.
Sias cheeks heats up and she glares at him. "Shut up Sahir, very funny. I am shuddering as it is cold in here. Let me go!" Sahir chuckles and let go of the poor girl.
"Anyway, I am leaving for work but before I forget to inform you again, Saafa is turning eighteen this year and we're going to celebrate. The party is in two weeks so don't forget to make room for it in your schedule." He quickly informs her.
Sia nods with a smile. "Sounds great, will do." She answers still a bit drowsy.
Sahir leaves to change while Sia takes a glimpse of herself in the mirror and her eyes widens while her hands reaches her mouth which lets go of a gasp. She is looking like a clown, with her mascara smudged and her lipstick all around her mouth, how could Sahir not laugh at her? She shakes her head with a sigh and jumps into the shower after getting rid of the heavy makeup.
Sahir attends meeting after meeting for his upcoming project, he is very excited but at the same time not satisfied with the progress. He only has one chance and need to make the most of it to attract the attention he is craving for his work to receive.
Ones at home he freshen up and changes into comfortable clothes to then sit down in the bed with his precious laptop. Sahir is actually a workaholic but that has changed majorly after getting married to Sia, he still does work but he can't focus as before. His mind keeps wandering away to a certain someone.
The door opens and in view is a smiling Sia in a beige nightgown, Sahir can't help to admire her figure and her taste in nightgowns. "Hey, how has your day been? Have you had dinner?" Sia inquires while walking towards the bed.
Sahir snaps out of his daze and smiles while Sia crawls into bed. "Hi, tiring but good. Yes, had dinner in the office with the other coworkers. Where were you?" He inquires.
Sia replies with a smile. "I was with Mom and Saafa, we were discussing her upcoming birthday and just chilling." Sahir is glad that Sia is comfortable in this household.
"Great." Sahir says absentminded while checking the latest progress of their work. "How did your preparation for your upcoming meeting go?" He further questions to prolong the conversation.
"I am done with it, have sent it to my boss. She will be going through it and then send me feedback then I'll be editing according to it to send it back. Then hopefully I'll have something decent to present." She messages her temples tiredly.
"Sia, you're going to rock it don't worry and you'll get promoted. You have worked hard." Sahir encourages shifting his gaze to her.
Sia genuinely smiles at his effort to comfort. "How is your project going? Any progress?" Sia inquire instead and Sahir sighs tiredly.
He runs a hand down his hair. "I don't know, I want the fashion show to be a hit as that's when I will be launching my new brand. I want to make the launch a bit different and special. The talk of not only the town, I am aiming for international recognition." Sahir shares his dilemma.
Sia keeps quite and ponders before speaking. "Well, you can add fund raising with a twist. If you open your project with charity you'll attract viewers and you'll help people, that will give you a boost. You can have children walk beside the models who are going to represent a disease. That would be a dream come true for the children and also they'll be doing something for a good cause. People will be able to donate money for medical supplement for the specific disease they are interested in or for science and research." Sia creatively suggests to a attentively listening Sahir.
Sahir ponders over her words and is actually impressed. "That's actually a really good idea, I think I can expand my niche that way too. Not just that, I would love to keep donating a certain percent of the income to charity every month when my brand hits the market." He enlightens her and Sias heart warms up.
Sia smiles widely. "And that would make me very proud of you. Just don't forget to give me credit." Sia jokes.
"Don't worry you'll get full credit." Sahir says sincerely and surprises Sia.
"Sahir I was joking." Sia makes it clear for him.
Sahir catches her striking eyes. "And I am serious. Would you want to be the show stopper?" He further proposes and Sias eyes widens.
"Are you kidding me? I can't even walk properly in heals." She shakes her head.
"That doesn't matter, just says yes. We'll work with the project together and you'll take care of the donation and its medical supplement." Sahir encourages her with a smile.
"I am not sure Sahir, how will I be able to make time on top of my own work?" Sia shares with him her thoughts.
"You can join me in the office whenever you have time, also after or before your work at the drugstore. This will be a great collaboration between the world of fashion and science." Sahir pushes her enthusiastically.
Sia ponders for a while and smiles. "Okay, sure but I'll only be helping extra as if it is a hobby. Nothing permanent." She tells him frankly.
"Whatever you say honey." He winks and Sia hits his arm with a chuckle.
The next day Sahir and Sia is on a meeting with his coworkers at the office about the very project. Sia wasn't so kin on the idea to tag along but Sahir insisted and so she's now sitting next to him with a throbbing heart. His coworkers are friendly though and that's making her calm down a bit. Sahir has presented Sias ideas and while everyone has agreed upon them there's this one certain lady who is negative.
"I don't think it is a good idea to manipulate people to like your brand by charity." Hazel says annoyed. "I understand that it is your wife's idea and you might feel obliged to listen but Sahir you should know better. You can't ruin your own hard work." She retorts disgusted and Sahir fumes in anger.
Sia places a hand on Sahirs thigh to stop him from uttering a word. "It is true that I am Sahirs wife but I don't want him to accept my ideas if they're no good. With that said I don't think we are manipulating people to like the brand. Yes, we are grabbing eyeballs but if people doesn't like the brand or the style they'll never continue to buy it. On top of that we are going to give the money to charity, it is not something we are just going to claim but we are going to carry out. What's wrong if we can both flourish in business and help people in need?" Sia tries to show Hazel her perspective.
Hazel rolls her eyes. "You're only helping as you want to flourish in business." She says tapping her pen on the table.
"No, Sahir will continue to give the charity he gives excluding this project. Yes, business will flourish but our donations are also going to increase. It is a win-win situation and also for Sahir it is more about expanding his niche than money. He want his company to be recognized worldwide and that will gain us all." Sia tries to reason with her.
"What Sia ma'am is proposing is actually a great idea Hazel, there's nothing wrong in wanting to expand ones business and if charity can help then why not?" A employee named Cassandra back up.
"But it is only for their own gain. You all are supporting her as she is the wife of the boss." Hazel continues snapping.
"Enough!" Sahir thunders making everyone in the room startled. "Stop attacking Sia! If anything you should keep in mind that she is my wife and I won't tolerate anyone disrespecting her. I am too proud of her and her ideas." He first states making Sia feel a bit uncomfortable. "If you didn't know then let me tell you that business is usually about gain and that's it. Here we are adding charity to draw attention and to help people. If you feel bad about that then you may leave." Hazel looks on shocked, to then stand up feeling humiliated while glaring at Sia, and then she storms out in pure anger.
"Sahir, you shouldn't have added the last part." Sia whispers messaging her temples. "I'll go after her." She offers to bring her back.
Sahir holds her hand. "You'll not go anywhere. She has chosen to leave. We're continuing the meeting." He orders firmly and Sia nods.
After an hour when the meeting is over and the different aspects of the new additional work is divided between the workers it is time for lunch. "Can't we all eat together so I get to know you guys? Of course those of you who have time and nothing else planned." Sia asks politely to the workers in the room.
"Yeah why not." One of the employees Cassandra says happily.
"That would be a honor." Another coworker named Daniel smiles.
There's around nine of the people who had attended the meeting who agreed to eat with Sia and Sahir, while the rest of the four had plans from before. Sia ordered food, basically chicken salad, for all of them through Sahir. Well, Sahir mostly sat in front of his laptop observing Sia while Sia tried to get to know his coworkers aka Cassandra, Alexandra, Daniel, Nathan, Serena, Antonio, Victoria, Marshall and Karan.
"You know we never thought that Sahir sir would get married." Nathan, a good looking blue eyed boy, states amused.
"Why not?" Sia questions surprised shoving some lettuce in to her mouth.
"First of all he was already committed to work." Cassandra, a beautiful Latino, tells.
"Secondly because girls literally chased him down and would do all kind of stunts to grab his attention but he never seemed to notice them." Serena, a gorgeous and tall blonde, adds with a mouth full of chicken.
"Except when he went to the business events and had acquaintances with him." Daniel incorporate to the conversation.
"Yeah, we even sometimes doubted his orientation." Marshall chuckles and a glare from Sahir shuts him up.
"A secret, you know why Hazel got so worked up?" Cassandra says and makes Sia curious.
Sia raises an eyebrow. "Why?" She says putting her fork down.
"As she has been trying to be in the position you are in." She whispers to Sia.
The words makes Sias blood go cold. "Oh." Is all Sia manages to get out before chuckling a bit.
"But truth is, you and Sahir sir seem like the perfect match. I mean his temperament has reduced since you got married so I guess you have been a good influence in his life, he smiles more often. He used to be fair even before but his temperament was much worse than it is now." Cassandra continues lighthearted.
"And as much as we know, Sahir sir is a workaholic. Hazel would not be able to handle that, we don't understand how you do." Serena adds shaking her head a bit disturbed.
"Guess she got lucky." Sia jokes and they all chuckle. "No to be honest, Sahir is amazing. All relationships have ups and downs but we're going with the flow." Sia openly shares her thoughts on her marriage.
"I think Sahir sir has got a gem. You seem like a supporting and understanding wife, just amazing." Marshall claims and Sia smiles at his cuteness.
"And adorable." Karan winks and Sahir shakes his head amused, he knows that Karan consider him as a older brother and is only fooling around.
Sia chuckles amused and shakes her head. "Tell that to your boss."
"Hey, I always tell you that you are adorable." Sahir chirps in to the conversation. "If you want I can scream it from the top of the roof also." Sia rolls her eyes while everyone goes quite, they are not used to see this side of Sahir.
"Nice try Romeo." Sia mumbles and the rest tries hard to hold back their chuckles.
After their first meeting together Sahir brings Sia to his office regularly. He loves how friendly and easy Sia is to talk too, everyone at the office loves her expect Hazel who seem to have a problem with even the air Sia breathes. Sahir wanted to fire her but due to Sia he is holding himself back as she told him to relax and that she can handle it. What Sia does in the office is to help around with the project and goes to check if everything is going smoothly for every employee. If they get stuck she tries to brainstorm with them and if they need some information about a certain disease or medicine she informs them about it. She also cracks a lot of jokes and helps them have a pleasant time at the office. She has come really close to Karan, Nathan, Cassandra and Serena who are all in more or less the same age.
Today the employees have shifted into the joint workroom where they can make their first sketches come alive as they're tailoring their pieces. The first pieces are just for presentation and if accepted will be given to mass production.
Hazel is back to work even though she is kind of moody and ignores Sia. Sia doesn't mind and is herself keeping a safe distance. Sia has been noticing that the girl acts helpless around Sahir to gain his attention and it is only him he asks for help. Knowing that she has a crush on Sahir doesn't make it any better. The fact actually bugs Sia, can't she leave him alone now when he is married? At least in front of Sia?
For example right now, Sahir has come to check with Sia if everything is going well and Hazel calls him. Sahir grumpily goes over to her and instead of asking him verbally, she seem to need a reason to touch his hands or arms. Sia fumes and walks out from there before she does something wrong, like slapping her. Stomping towards Sahirs office to get some timeout she bumps into Nathan. "Ouch." She mumbles.
He stables her and looks at her worriedly. "Hey are you alright?" he questions eyeing her carefully.
Sia inhales a deep breath and calms herself down. "Yes, just fine." She plasters a fake smile.
He chuckles. "Really? So tell me what's so fine?" he pushes her.
Sia shrugs. "It is great to see Hazel work so up close and hard with my husband." her lips tightens into a thin line.
Nathan raises an eyebrow. "Oh so that's the problem." he says amused and Sia clenches her fists. "Look if you let her get to you then she'll have power over you, and we don't want that to happen do we?" He tries to make Sia understand and it actually works. "And matter of fact, Sahir sir has only his eyes for you." He adds which makes Sia raise her eyebrow.
"Yeah right." She scoffs annoyed.
Nathan grins childishly. "Well turn around and see for yourself." Sia stiffens and seeing that Nathan chuckles. "Best of luck." He whispers and walks away while Sia stands there totally embarrassed, how much has he heard?
"So why did you stomp out of there?" Sahir voice finds her while he is leaning at the wall with crossed arms.
Sia doesn't answer as her heart is hammering hard in her chest, please say he didn't hear anything. Sahir walks up to her and turns her around to face him. She looks away while he makes her meet his eyes by gently holding her chin. Sahir notices fire in Sias honey brown eyes. "Sia, what happened?" He questions worriedly. "Did someone say something?" He doesn't know? Great!
Sia shakes her head while turning around and comes to stand in front of her again. "No." She makes a lame attempt to convince him but can't even convince herself.
Sahir raises a eyebrow. "It has nothing to do with Hazel, does it?" Sia shakes her head again denying the truth. "You're not feeling any kind of jealousy?" Sia darts her eyes up to meet his gaze with a frown.
"Jealous and I? Stop thinking greatly of yourself." She fires and Sahir chuckles.
"Okay, sorry. Not that you need to know or care but I find her quite cute." Sahir says to test her.
Sias blood literally boils upon hearing that. "Then why are you wasting your time here?" She questions calmly with her voice laced in fury. "Go to her, I am sure she needs more help due to the major lack of brain cells." Sia finally snaps and brushes past him to go home, she'll turn insane if she spends more time here.
Sahir grabs her wrist with a blank expression and drags her with him to his office while she claws his hand to let her go, tears are pricking her eyelids as she gets frustrated. Sahir closes the door behind them to then cage her between his arms and the wall. Sia leans on the white wall and fixates her gaze on the shelf to her right.
"Look at me." He whispers but Sia doesn't give in. "Look at me." Sahir says again but Sia acts stubborn. "Sia, look at me." He sternly voices making Sias heart skip a beat and she unwillingly shifts her gaze to him, the intensity in his eyes makes her surprised. "Who wanted to fire Hazel?" He questions and Sia keeps quiet knowing what this is leading to. "For who did I want to fire her?" Sia looks away again while trying to blink away the threatening tears. "Who stopped me?" He continues to question while trying to make her look at him. "Then how much do you think I care about her?" He continues to inquire but is met with silence. "Exactly Sia, I don't care. It is you who are giving her importance now." He makes her understand. "And about the cute thing, I just wanted to see your reaction and you totally nailed the jealousy act." He smirks smugly enjoying the fact that Sia might be possessive of him.
This time Sias honey brown eyes darts up to meet his dark ones and her eyes are still blazing in fire as if they'll any second turn into liquid. "Shut up Sahir, I am not jealous." She snaps between gritted teeth.
Sahir holds her hypnotizing eyes in his. "Then what are you?" he retorts amused while his heart is beating rapidly.
Sia finds herself cornered and gazes into his eyes astonished. "Annoyed." She manages to bring out.
Sahir holds her eyes with intensity and his expression doesn't give away any emotion. "Okay sure, whatever you say but don't for even a second think that I care for her or find her attractive. To be honest, my eyes are only for one person and so is my attraction." He tells her honestly.
Sia rolls her eyes. "Sahir if you can't see, I am not in the mood for your foul humor right now." She bores her eyes into his and is clearly hurt.
Sahir holds her gaze for a little longer than intended. "I am dead serious and you should know by now Sia." Sahir conveys in a firm tone, keeping eye on her reaction.
Sias eyes widens in surprise while she blinks several time to comprehend the hidden message in his words. She opens her mouth to say something but nothing comes out of it. A knock on the door startles her while Sahir keeps staring at her carefully. Sia gulps under his intense gaze. "Sahir the door." She says while he keeps staring at her with his heart pounding in his ears and she shies away her gaze from him.
He finally pushes himself away from her and opens the door for his secretary Ella. Letting go of the breath she was holding, Sia quickly excuses herself but Sahir catches her hand and doesn't let her leave from there. When Ella is done informing him about a meeting getting cancelled she leaves and Sahir turns his attention to Sia. "I'll drop you home." He declares leaving his office and she follows him hesitantly.
Sia quickly rushes to her room after Sahir drops her off. The car ride was absolutely awkward with both of them absorbed in their own thoughts. Closing the door behind her she paces back and forth. "What the heck got in to me?" She questions no one in particular. "Was I acting jealous?" She says out loud astonished. "No way." She frowns dismissing the thought as quickly as it arrived and goes to sit down on the couch with her hands cupping her own face. "Yes I actually was." She acknowledges in a whisper and admits it worried to herself. "What now?" she stares right in front of her in horror.
