The sudden silence in the elegant brown lounge room gives an edge to the situation. An awkwardness spreads through the now thick air. That is all thanks to Sia and Sahir, they keep glaring at each other as if there is no tomorrow.

Sahir have a hard time in believing that this random girl in front of him actually is daring to throw daggers at him through her eyes. He thinks of how many seconds it actually would take him to break her ego if he wanted to.

Sia feel disgusted by Sahirs arrogant attitude and even though his intimidating cold eyes are giving her heart a race for her money, she is just not willing to give up the glaring competition. She can feel her cheeks burning with flame.

Sias parents and brother feel rather confused of their daughters sudden different behavior and looks at each other questioningly. While Soumya and Saafa feel rather uncomfortable and out of place.

Sahirs mother clears her throat in an attempt to gain Sia and Sahirs attention, but in vain. "Do you two know each other?" Mrs. Khan asks them now looking back and forth.

Sahir and Sia break their glare. Sia feels rather embarrassed now while Sahir doesn't care about the people around them. They both look at Mrs. Khan. "No!" Sahir and Sia frowns simultaneously.

Sias eyes widens, did she just hear whom she think she heard? She looks at him a bit surprised. Sahir feels rather offended at the fact that Sia doesn't know him. He looks at her blankly. He tries to analyze if she is lying or not, most people in their community do know about him. Sia slightly changes in her position feeling rather uncomfortable.

"You guys are acting like you know each other." Mrs Khan says sceptic and narrows her eyes towards her son for an explanation.

Standing at Sahirs right Sagar looks at his sister questioningly. "Or more like you're enemies." Sagar adds.

Sia looks down at her fingers and toys around with a beautiful silver ring on her right hand. The ring have been gifted by her mother on her 20th birthday. She feel a bit ashamed of her behavior.

Sias mother doesn't know what has gotten into her daughter. "Sia, why are you behaving so different?" Mrs. Malik says to Sia a bit disappointed from beside her husband. They are standing behind a leather couch which is placed at Sias right.

Mrs. Khan tries to change the topic and takes the chance to introduce her son to Mrs. Khan. "Oh I forgot, Mrs. Malik this is my son Sahir and Sahir this is Mrs. Malik." Mrs. Khan introduces Sahir to Sias mother.

Sahir greets Sias mother with affection. Sia grimace at his sudden respectful and smiling behavior. Drama queen, she thinks for herself and rolls her eyes.

Sahir catches her grimace and gives her a pointed look. "Sia, will you mind enlighten us what all this is about?" Sias father asks her now sternly seeing his daughters frown. Sia looks up at her father with a blank expression.

Sahir thinks of a way to turn the situation to his favor. "It's ok Uncle. I'll enlighten you." Sahir looks at Sia for a reaction. Sia glares at him and raises an eyebrow. "If it is ok with you to say?" He asks nodding at Sia and Sia looks at him with disbelief.

He smirks a bit. "Why wouldn't it be ok with me?" She inquires and looks at him as if he is mad.

"Well, the truth is that Sia accidentally knocked me at the corridor and I kind of saved her from falling." Sias eyes widens. "Even though I saved her, instead of thanking me she started to yell at me and threw tantrums in front of everyone." Sahir finishes satisfied seeing Sia bewildered with sudden red cheeks.

Sia stands up in shock and sudden rage bubbling in her. "Why are you lying?! Tell them the truth!" She demands and clenches her hands into fists. It was Sahir who invaded her room and was rude as hell.

Sahir can't help to find the situation a bit amusing, the girl in front of him actually doesn't know how to control her emotions. "What truth? I just told them?" Sahir acts innocent and mentally chuckles.

Sia tries to breathe properly and not make a scene. "Sia is it true?" Sias mother questions her with doubt, she knows her daughter very well.

Sia turns to her mother breaking her glare on Sahir. "Mum do you seriously believe this fake story which is screaming fake? He is just making it up!" Sia shakes her head in disbelief.

Mrs. Khan knows her son well enough to know that he is lying. "It's ok Sia, I think Sahir is just pulling your leg. Tell us your point of view." Mrs. Khan smiles at her assuringly and takes her hand to make her sit down. Sia sits down on the leather couch again.

This is going to be interesting, Sahir thinks for himself and ignores his mothers disapproving gazes. "Yeah Sia tells us your side of the story." Sahir says and sits down on the couch in front of Sia. He rest his elbows on his knees and intervenes his fingers in front of him while tilting forwards his upper body. His eyes are straight on Sia. He isn't even bothered that her whole family is around them.

Sia frowns at the arrogant man in front of her with disgust. If she tells the truth now, no one will believe her. "Actually Aunti, your son is right. I accidentally bumped into him but when I tried to apologize." Sahir furrows his eyebrows as he is not sure what Sia is actually up to? Sia mentally smirks seeing Sahir confused. "Look what he did!" Sia holds up her fisted hands forward to show her bruised wrists.

Everyone except of Sahir gasps seeing her wounds. "OMG! Sahir! What is this?" Mrs. Khan scolds Sahir and everyone gasps. Her mother and brother rushes up to her.

Sahir mentally roll his eyes at their overprotectiveness. In his opinion it is just a small scratch.

Sias mother sits down beside her. "Is it hurting?" Sagar asks Sia with concern who kneels down in front of her. "Do you want me to take you to a doctor?" Sia shakes her head at her protective and caring older brother who is examining her wounds.

Sia turns to Mrs. Khan with twinkling eyes. "He didn't even give me a chance to apologize. After he hurt me he just left without looking back." Sia whispers acting like a victim.

Sahir stares at her emotionless. He is actually not sure if she is serious or just acting anymore.

Mrs. Khan feels embarrassed by her sons antics. "I am so sorry to hear dear. Sahir, apologize now!" Sahirs mother commands and raises an eyebrow at Sahir.

Sias eyes finds Sahirs and she smirks which leaves Sahir surprised. What an actress, Sahir thinks with a frown.

Sias mother doesn't want a business tycoon to apologize to her daughter and hold grudges against her. "No, it is ok. I am sure he didn't do it intentionally. It will heal in two days" Sias mother intervenes to Sias disappointment.

Sahir finds his chance to triumph. "I really didn't mean to hurt her Aunti." Sahir whispers as if he is really ashamed.

Sia furrows her eyebrows in displeasure. "It is ok son, it happens." Sias mother smiles towards him and Sahir smiles back. Sia rolls her eyes and Sahir holds back a chuckle.

Sia whispers to her mother. "Are you my mother or his?" She hisses and fakes a smile.

Sias mother just shake her head at her daughters childish behavior.

Her father comes up to her and examines her injuries. "It will be alright." Sias dad kisses his daughter on the head.

"Anyway, we need to go back to the wedding now. It is soon time for the wedding rituals." Sias mother reminds them and fixes her huge necklace.

They all stand up to walk back to the wedding venue. Sia is walking close behind her sister. Before Sia can follow her younger sister out of the room Sahir grabs her arm and pulls her back in. Sias heart stops while Sahir feel an adrenaline rush. He pull her towards him and then push her on the door. Sia gasp with shock and Sahir locks her between his arms amused.

Sahirs dark eyes finds Sias golden once. He smirks and slowly leans towards her. Sia tilts her head to the left with a frown and tries to push him away by his chest. "Hey drama queen. You should be a Hollywood actress." Sahir whispers into her right ear coldly and his mint fresh breath fans her.

Without warning Sias heart fluctuates but she manages to hold her composure. "Let go of me." Sia pushes his hands away from her. "You're the one with the acting or should I say lying skills." Sia looks annoyed at Sahir.

Sahir chuckles and takes two steps back. He takes a good look at her. "You really thought that the little drama you did would make me apologize to someone like you?" Sahir shakes his head making Sia more furious.

Her teeth clenches automatically. "Can you be the sweet doll that you are and enlighten me about what a girl like me is?" Sia looks at him with furrowed eyebrows.

Sahir shakes his head with his amused expression wiped away from his face."Take it back." He locks his eyes with Sias again.

"Take what back?" Sia questions with a smirk knowing that the remark with being a doll didn't go down well with him.

"You know what I mean." Sahir says sternly. "Girls like you means girls like you. Silly, stubborn, stuck-up and full of yourself." He looks at her challenging. Sahir tries to read her expressions.

Sias heart beats faster in rage. She want to insult him back but refrains as she believes that it is no use to argue with a arrogant person.

Her jaw tightens. "You know what? Congratulations to you for your opinions. Unfortunately I don't have the time or the will to enlighten you about me as I have a wedding to attend." Sia turns to the door but turns her heal back. "And by the way, I hope that we'll never meet again." Sia fakes a smile towards him and starts to walk out of the lounge room.

"And sensitive." Sahir adds to Sias displeasure. It takes a lot of energy for Sia to not turn around and bang his head against a wall.

She slams the door behind her. "You're better." Sia reminds herself and breathes out a frustration before walking to the banquette hall.

Sahir looks mesmerized at the door. He gets lost in deep thoughts. The door opens again and his mother peeks in. The door slams again and Sahir snaps out of his thoughts. He looks at Mrs. Khan surprised. "Mother, is everything alright?" He asks worried at her disturbed expression.

Mrs. Khan walks up to her son and takes a good look at him. "You tell me." Sahirs mother frowns.

Sahir seems surprised with the sharpness in her voice. "What do you mean?" He asks Mrs. Khan now with a neutral expression.

"Why are you bothering Sia?" She asks him sternly. "I know that you were lying and she played along with your lies." Sahir was going to defend himself but his mother don't let him. "However, I also know that you are indeed the one who hurt her." She adds and Sahir looks at her as seeing a ghost.

Sahir runs a hand thorough his jet black hair. "She provoked me. Have you seen how ill mannered she is?" Sahir defends.

"She is not ill mannered just because she doesn't share your views." Mrs. Khan raises an eyebrow. "Stay away from Sia, her parents are highly respected in our community and I don't want them to have any bad feelings toward us." Sahirs mother warns and Sahir nods.

"Yes mother, as you wish. I don't even want to be around that spoilt brat." Sahir replies and his mother rolls her eyes at his last sentence.

They leave for the beautiful banquette hall to attend the wedding of Sanaya and Arnav. The banquette hall is full of life and the wedding ceremony takes place smoothly. After a lot of dancing by relatives and friends, dinner is served. They who want can walk up to the stage and click pictures with the newly wedded couple.

Sahir is seated with a few other men and they are talking business, politics and sports. Sia is standing with a few girls beside Sanaya and pulling her and Arnavs legs while having a photo session.

Sahir mother comes up to him. "Shouldn't you spend time with Arnav and also be clicking a few pictures with him? He is your best friend after all." Sahir nods but is reluctant on going up to the stage.

Sahir knows that young girls are there. He hates attention from shallow, clingy and gold digging girls, that's why he have already told Arnav that he won't be around him as much as he would want to. Arnav was totally fine with that.

Sahir takes in a deep breath. "Excuse me gentlemen." He nods and stands up from his seat. He buttons his black suit and walks towards the stage majorly decorated with fresh flowers.

"So what have you planned for your wedding night?" Sia winks at Arnav. Sanaya turns red and slaps Sias arm. "Ouch." The girls around her giggles.

Sahir is heading towards the stage and sees a group of girls centered there with colorful attires. They are all laughing and have their back towards Sahir.

Arnav spots Sahir and his brown eyes sparks in amusement. "Hey man! Good to finally get a glimpse of you!" Arnav smiles with his dimples showing.

Sahir smirks. "I couldn't keep myself away to say a last goodbye when you're ending your life by your own choice." Sahir teases. "No offense to you. You're surely amazing." Sahir looks at Sanaya and Sanaya smiles knowing that he is just joking.

The young girls attention diverts to the handsome businessman.

"Omg, isn't that Sahir Khan?" Anjali, cousin to Sanaya, whispers.

"Mhmm." Shetal confirms not taking her eyes away from Sahir.

"He is too good to be true." Myra a friend of their says dreamily.

Sia scowls in disgust seeing the girls droll over the, in her opinion, ugly arrogant man and tries to stay away from his vision.

Sahir poses for a few pictures with the couple and Sia decides to leave the stage. She can feel a negative energy just being around him.

Sia walks towards the low staircase with her high heels clicking. "Sia wait!" She hears Sanayas voice from behind when taking a step down.

Sia halt in her movement in discomfort. "Oh no." Sia sighs in despair knowing that she have caught the attention of a certain person. She plasters a smile and turns around to face Sanaya. "Yes darling?" She asks and tries hard to not look at Sahir who is standing behind the couple.

Sahir looks at Sia bored. He could not miss to hear the compliments coming from the pathetic girls she was standing with and even harder could he miss the pathetic attempt of Sia to not come under his radar.

Sanaya smiles. "I want you to meet Sahir, Arnavs best friend." Sias eyes widens not believing her ears and Sahir looks at her irritated.

What is it with people and wanting to introduce them to each other? That is the million dollar question they both asks themselves while exchanging bitter glances.
