Once more I have checked the arrangement, the excitement and nervousness were killing me, I hope he'd like this. After giving final instruction to staff I left to pick up Rick. Within a few minutes, I reached the decided venue and almost froze at my place looking at Rick, he was looking as stunning as ever in his casual clothes. He was looking not lesser than a heartthrob from the magazine cover in his Leather Jacket over a white t-shirt. He flashed a coy smile when his eyes met mine, his one look of admiration at me and I was floating high in clouds. Gosh, I was madly in love with this handsome guy.

Rick grabbed my arms and pulled me into a big hug. I rested my head on his chest and squeezed him tight, I missed him very much. I shyly peeked up at him through my long eyelashes when he kissed my head.

"I have a surprise for you," I muttered in his embrace.

"Oh!! I hate surprises." He skeptically stared at me.

I frowned at him for not showing any excitement when I had spent many sleepless nights planning this, he pinched my nose giving me a playful smile on my reaction, and my anger fades away admiring his beautiful smile. I shook those distracting thoughts from my head and concentrated on my surprise. Hesitantly I asked him to close his eyes, he raised his eyebrow giving me his mischievous smile, he pulled me closer and buried his face in the crook of my neck, sighing happily in response to my contended noise. I struggled to breathe, intoxicated with his touch "Please close your eyes. Have a little patient for some time."

He inhaled deeply into my hair, I tried to ignore the goosebumps which have risen over my body due to his small act "What are you planning, my love??" he whispered into my ear.

I love it when he uses such an endearment for me. "I have a surprise, told you so." I pulled away from him though I didn't want to.

He growled in annoyance, I pleaded with him with my puppy eyes. Eventually, he agreed and closed his eyes, without wasting a second I blindfolded him with my scarf.

"Woah! Woah! Now what the hell is this?" he asked impatiently.

I giggled watching his pouty face, he looks adorable when he frowned like a baby. I held his hand and guided him in the car. While answering I put the seatbelt on him "You will get to know in a few minutes." I couldn't hold myself from kissing his cheek.

"Jen, usually guy plan such kind of surprise, I am impressed though." He smiled yet his body became rigid.

"Really? Don't tell me you are nervous because honestly, I am."

He laughed at my confession. "Jen, I love every bit of this but could you tell me, why I am getting this special treatment"

I looked at him in shock and my face dropped at his unawareness. I wonder, did he really forget about today or he is just teasing me. "Well, It's me to know and you to find out," I mumbled slowly, my heart beats slowly, suddenly I was scared. What if.. no.. don't even think..

Rick

I was trying hard to hide my annoyance, it became a challenge to plaster a fake smile on my face for a long. I have no control over this situation, it made me angry. I was the one who dictates every moment of Jen's life, and today she took all the cards in her hand. I wanted to refuse her instantly when she blindfolded me, but I couldn't afford to upset her if I want my plan to work smoothly.

At the same time, I was stretching my brain to get a hint for a sudden change in her behavior. I know, she dropped the hint which I missed but what it could be. Currently, I was working day-night for extending my business to get into the notice of Mr. David Milano who is very hard to impress. Even thinking of that monster raged anger within me, what would happen on the day when I will get a chance to face him. I'd destroy him slowly, bitterly... I turned my gaze from Jen, not wanted to show my rising hatred for her and her family.

A few minutes later a car stopped cutting the engine off. I heard her beaming excitedly "Here we are."

I controlled my temper turning my head in her direction, I replied sarcastically "You only know where we are," she chuckled.

"No need to be dramatic, c'mon let's get out of this car." My mind was silently working, analyzing the surrounding, I heard some noises which really pissed me off. We are in public, I raised my hand to remove the blindfold but she quickly grabbed my hand and said "Not yet." that's enough, I couldn't take that anymore.

"It's very noisy here. Are we in the city?" I asked sternly.

"First let me open the door, you will know it once we'll out." She answered unlocking the doors, immediately I stopped her grabbing her arms, and removed that stupid blindfold, her shocked eyes stared at me strangely. She was totally taken aback, I tightened my hold on her, furiously looking outside. It was a colorful carnival near the beach, sponsored by Milano Industry for the special orphan kids. I admit it's beautifully decorated with colorful stalls. Lots of the people & kids are enjoying various activities. The mesmerizing look of the carnival is overwhelming but why she brought me here?

"Why are we here?" I snarled at her gritting my teeth.

I saw hurt in her eyes. She stared at me blankly for a while and tried to free her arm that reminded me she still in my tight hold. I instantly freed her. She hugged herself wrapping her arms around her, looking all lost. I noticed red bruise marks on her arm caused by me. However, this didn't control my anger, I need​ to be calmer to handle the situation smartly.

"Happy Anniversary Rick!" She slowly mumbled without looking at me. Her voice was a little shaken, she gulped her sadness and smiled holding her tears "I wanted to do something special for you on this special day"

I clapped crudely ignoring her hurtful gaze. The surprise was written all over her face. "By doing this what do you want to show? Ahhh..let me guess, you want to rub your richness on my face to make me realize how unsuitable match I am for you. You want me to take out and introduce to your society as a petty case whom you offered your love as a charity like those kids." I busted out on her.

I have grinded my teeth, clutching my jaw, I was out of my mind. What was she up to? Of course, she wanted us to be official. Milano's event means the invitation to all paparazzi. I secretly thanked God to have black glasses in this car otherwise my identity would have revealed. This was not the time to meet Mr. David Milano. I really underestimated this girl. I know my harsher behavior not helping my plan but I need to get out of this situation. I forgot this damn date which she named an anniversary & arranged this. Still, I was not sure why she planned this. I have convinced her completely that I didn't want to make our relationship official until some time. So, what came into her mind for doing this? I have to figure this out but first I needed to get out of here.

"I don't want this humiliation, Miss Jenifer Milano. Please keep me out of this." I saw a few paparazzi approaching the car, in one swift I shifted her from the driver seat and positionedHi friends!!

As far story concern next update would definitely something worth to wait. My heart wounded & cried for Jen :-(
